mumble, mumble, my life’s a jumble

I’m so glad the cop seems to be staying at the apartments for the storm as well because without him here we might actually have had a peaceful hurricane. Seriously though, his loud talking/tv watching/whatever else is getting fuckin’ old. SIGH~

We went hurricane shopping last night at 12 am. So many people it took 20 minutes to check out. Water/canned goods/candles/fruit boxes were almost already totally gone. Heard there were 400 customers in Wal-mart at 2 am. CRAZY~

University is closed tomorrow, Thursday and Friday. That’s good. My mom called twice today. She’s pretty freaked out. I think it’s not so much the hurricane as it is me being away from them for the first time. I’m scared to think that we might not be able to communicate during and after. Not knowing will kill me you know. Phone lines are always last to go down at their house though, but I dunno about this apartment and my cell phone is already having issues because the tower is SOOO busy right now that it’s hard to get through.

Enough of that depressing talk!!! I’ve been working on stopping blog spam. I modified a word filter javascript to check the B2 comment form for nasty spam words before it can be submitted. This will prevent some manual spamming. I’m looking into writing up a robots.txt to prevent spider spamming. I’ll post both up here when I get the chance. Sorry Augusto, I know I said TONIGHT, but I fell asleep after I said that, hahahaha.

~LONG DAY.

Hope everything is alright with the hurricane, and you have enough food ect. I have never experienced a hurricane, living in Australia, so I can’t say much about it, but we have had several black outs due to thunder storms (I live a street away from the beach, so in the winter we get a lot of blackouts). I hope that the communication between your mother and yourself won’t be down for too long, we’d like to see some more of your pretty layouts!
Spammers are annoying, even though I feel like one at the moment, commenting on nearly every post you make!

It’s so terrible, I was watching the news and so many homes have been destroyed in the Caribbean; I don’t even know if my own relatives are still alive and it worries me, so I can understand why your mother is so worried too :( I really hope your area withstands the storm though…mrr, I don’t really want to think about it x_x
