Some Magazines Were Purchased

Saturday, November 3rd, 2007 | 19 Comments

Thursday I got to pick up “some” magazines, (●^o^●). Then Friday I bought 2 cute shirts on sale (totaled $8.00 altogether) and I can layer them for winter wear . Also had to buy a new mouse b/c my 6-year old one finally died, hahah. That was a TOTAL bitch too as it died. It kept double-clicking randomly & cropping or dragging things became IMPOSSIBLE.

As for the house, since a few people asked, it’s all very up in the air right now. The move-in date that is. No fear, it’s NOT a big deal. Delays happen. Basically even if they finish on time (end of November, early December) it then depends on how long closing takes (the mortgage stuff.) It can go by quickly, or take days, weeks~ So Mike and I are starting to “prepare ourselves” for the real possibility that we might not be moved in till AFTER Christmas.

Sure, I feel low thinking of spending XMAS in this stupid apartment, or even in boxes (1/2 moved ya know.) But that’s life, and getting the new house is lovely enough that it doesn’t really matter about Xmas. Besides more time to save, less urgency post-Christmas anyway. The urgency…. that alone kind of slightly makes me want it to be post-Christmas. AAAAAAHAAHA

Started scanning in Soup magazine so expect that soon (tomorrow!) :*:

Hehe, just a ‘few’ magazines ^____^
Moving house is really a hassle, but it’s normal. I think it would be kind of fun but a bit annoying to, but still the idea of sitting around on packed boxes, maybe with a xmas hats on and dining over a box labelled ‘kitchen’ for christmas is still special

Eekk, mortgage papers. Luckily for my house, it finished pretty quickly. Unfortunately, it was the packing and moving that slowed us down…

Hopefully everything with the house will work out. Saving MORE money will be nice, too. ^__________^ As long as you prepare yourselves for the delay it won’t be heartbreaking if it takes longer than expected.

Wahhh, you got MORE! I’m still waiting for my issue… Hopefully tomorrow it will be here

I look forward to your Soup scans, & I hope everything goes well with your move-in! Good luck

By the way, I think I’ve probably always liked zakka, but had no idea it was an actual… movement. My mother is an interior designer, and I was describing it to her, and she’s pretty intrigued by the concept. The links you provided were very helpful in describing zakka to my mum~! So, thanks

It’d be nice to have moved in before Xmas to spend Xmas there, but then see, if you do get in after Xmas, you’ll start in a new house in a new year and to me that would seem more refreshing cause it’s like shuffling off the old year with a new place to live! :’D …If that made sense.

Aah, isn’t it so nice to buy clothes for such a low cost? There’s a rugged warehouse store here that has name brand items for lower costs because they are the “damaged” ones {they good enough for me!}

you always inspire me to want Japanese magazines! and your layout is awesome, I like the bubble bgs on the comments :

Well, at least you will have more time to save, right?? And if you have a live Christmas tree, you don’t have to worry about it leaking or getting pine needles all over your beautiful new home!!

You got two shirts for the equiv of £4!! WOW, was it a charity shop? I got a nice tie for 60p once ($1.20?)
Winter layering is the best, I love the “excessive layering on top with skinny legs on bottom” look, it’s slightly homeless looking too LOL, I love it!

It’s a shame you can’t be sure when you’ll be moving. Perhaps it would be a bit less stressful if you move after christmas? BUT, yeah you wanna move to you’re lovely new house A.S.A.P!

good price on the shirts! i love finding deals!

aww, i’m glad you’re not TOO stressed about the moving situation. that’ll make it much easier, i’m sure.
though, i know myself, living out of boxes in anticipation of moving is a real pain in the ass. x_x

Ahh gotta love J-mags! I wish I had a store nearby that sold them, so I could by them as soon as I see them. I like Fujisan.com, but my Popteen I ordered on October 3 still hasn’t come in yet. -__- I subscribed this time (last time I just ordered one issue), so maybe it’ll be starting with the December issue. Oh well, as long as I get something soon, lol. Good deal on those shirts, though!

I’m glad you’re not all that stressed about moving right away. I stress out so easily, haha, though that’s probably because I wait until the last minute for everything…lol.

Hi!
I love your blogs and your mag scans.
I’ve been buying NoNo’s for a while too and I was wondering how you can subscribe.
I bet it’s cheaper that way right?
Keep up the good work with this site!
