Rinka Brings the SmackDown

This is a bit old (July ‘06) but I just really felt like posting it since I’m in such a “BITCH, PLEASE” mood today; (mwahahaah, I LOVEEEE Rinka!!!!!!!!) I especially like what Rinka says (1st sentence, I think we all know someone like Chiriko, mwahahah *I’m mean!!*)
Rinka-Sakashita feud flares up
“Anything related to her seems fake. She’s always misleading people by what she says.” Those not so kind words were the latest shots fired by Rinka, a 30-year-old former model and frequent TV variety show, at Chiriko Sakashita, a celebrity who gained popularity, if that’s the right word, by exposing her legs on an esthetic clinic commercial in 2000.
“Rinka’s wrath can be awful. When she and Sakashita appeared on the same variety TV show, Sakashita, who was seated behind Rinka, whispered: ‘You are disgusting.’ Rinka responded: ‘Shut up, pig,’ which could be heard,” said a TV magazine writer. “Sakashita suddenly started crying, and the crew had to stop taping the show.”
While no one is exactly sure over the cause of the bad blood between the two women, the crew of the variety program do not seem to have much sympathy for Sakashita.
“Sakashita talks to no one but male emcees, TV tycoons, and producers. She has never cared about staff or newcomers to the business,” said one crewmember.
Ever since a tabloid reported that Sakashita was having affairs with four men at the same time, women in the industry have been venomous toward her.
On the other hand, Rinka dated a member of the national soccer team, Atsushi Yanagisawa. But just as they started dating, Yanagisawa was left off of the national team, so she was regarded as a woman who brings bad luck.
“I think Rinka is the sort of woman who likes to support a man who is developing, and she cannot stand Sakashita, who she thinks is phoney,” said a show business insider.
So it seems the Rinka-Sakashita battle will be right up there with other well publicized feuds like Mineko Nishikawa and Naomi Kawashima or Kaoru Sugita and Yu Abiru. (Translated by Masatoshi Kuwahara)
