Sorry if this is gibberish

I’m so out of it ! It feels like 8 am. Did the Black Friday thing around 2:30am last night (Mike did 11:30pm ). We were about 50th in line (fantastic!) But it was so insane with the crowds and pushing and just being sardined up to strangers till 5 am. Quite the experience…

We got a TV and that’s all that really matters. We wanted the 42″ LCD, but ended up with a 40″ LCD because Circuit City is ran by assholes who lied to everyone in line and guaranteed everyone a 42″, but then revoked it in the check out line 5 people before Mike. People were LIVID & I’m glad I went home before that happened b/c I was SO bitchy already. But whatever, the 40″ is still amazing for an amazing price & WAS 100$ cheaper than the 42″. We got a LOT of the things we wanted for the new home! Including one of the newest Roomba’s at doorbuster price and Mike’s Christmas gift (a gps). And some Christmas gifts for family at amazing prices.

Anyway~ Thanksgiving was great! I hope everyone else’s was too.

Oh don’t you just love a bargain?! Haha We have sales like that here except it’s around Christmas time and people crowd around the doors and push and run when they finally open. It’s so scary~ Some people trip and fall, it’s so embarrassing for them because there’s always TV cameras around LOL.

Happy Thanksgiving! Glad you shopping panned out, if not exactly the way it was supposed to.

Did you make your “whilst feeling” plugin? It’s quite awesome

Black Friday shopping is always fun until you start thinking about how in 1929 it earned its name from the stock market crash that lead to the great depression. … Perhaps that’s why there’s all those sales? o_o

We had the TV incident too here at our electronics places. (Best Buy, Fry’s and Circuit City) they promised laptops at $200 to the first 30 people in the doors, then they cut that in half to only 15. >:/ They also weren’t very good laptops so I went into work pretty unhappy this morning.

Btw, Happy Thanksgiving. :]

Yeah, I camped out last year for my computer at 1AM until 5AM. It was crazy and cold, but quite an experience.

GPS sounds like a good present this year. I’m pitching in money to buy it for somebody. I want one for myself now, when I do start driving on my own….

Glad you got stuff for your new home. It must be really exciting.

actually, Black Friday refers in part to profits from the stores themselves. I work in the pharmacy and our entire store (Walgreens) and many other chain stores call it black friday because profits are marked in black while red means that we’re losing money.

I don’t see much of a difference with 42 and 40 but I’m glad you didn’t attack circuit city. My mom really wants a roomba too around here because my brothers are super messing.

I like your photographs on flickr, I want a camera like that.

Ohh I totally forgot that Thanksgiving in the states is in November! Wait, am I correct? Ours was in October. Heh;

Wow but 40inch is still amazing. I wish I had my own tv… I hate waiting in lines, but yeah no one blames you for being in a bad mood because those people shouldn’t be allowed to screw people over like that -_- it would tick me off as well. But congrats on getting new stuff! The feeling of getting new stuff rocks~haha

I met Manuel’s aunt & cousin at the mall at 8:45am on Friday and it was crazy at that time!! The line in Kohl’s was 1/2 way around the store at both entrances. 0_o;

Then I went to another mall around 11am and the parking was insane. I HATE Black Friday!! =___=;

Black Friday craziness…. My parents did that in the first couple of years after we moved to the US. Then they just kinda gave up…. Instead, they go to the stores at 10 to see what’s left and wonder around for an hour or two As always, they leave me at home because they thought I’d enjoy the calmness and peace of my house.

Anyways, I’m glad to hear that you got a nice TV and lots of other good stuff. Seems like Christmas shopping would be less of hassle for you since you’ve already gotten some gifts

I can’t believe you waited in line hat long. I went at like 4:30 to get to the mall when it opened at 5:00. We got free giftcards cause we were one of the first 250. Lol.

But happy to hear Thanksgiving was good.

now that you mention it…. I totally missed Thanksgiving since we don’t celebrate it over here. gah! :( But I’m glad to hear that it was good.

Black Friday doesn’t sound like it was fun at all. I hate standing in the line the most!! All those freaky and stupid people! argh! They make me sick!!

Congratulations on your new TV, though! whoah! I bet the 40 is much better than the 42 one. haha!

I would be mad if I’d been part of that marathon shop! I hate people when they’re shopping cos they’re usually all extremely rude. And to then not get what you’d been promised - grrrrr!

The new TV does sound fab, though. Have you hooked the games consoles up to it yet? I love playing the xbox360 on my parents’ huge TV
