Working at home today
Though I still have a lot to do, I can at least do it in my pajamas. I like when I can work from home, besides the obvious reasons, I enjoy my little traditions. For over a year now my biggest habit is what I make for lunch! Simple pastas using prepackaged sauce mixes! My favorites have always been from the brand S&B. I have tried a few American versions, but they are harder to make (you actually have to cook the sauce mix) and have never tasted very good. Though I did see new liquid pouches come out this summer. Though I like the dried with light tomato paste ones. I’ve had the liquid pouches of Japanese brands & they weren’t really spectacular.
So, today I have ペペロンチーノ [pepperchino
, my favorite!] バジル [basil] is also very tasty.

2 pouches (x2). 1 dry ingredients the other liquid sauce…

Cooking up the pasta! I like smaller pastas for these, so I chose mini-shells plus some rigatoni

DRAIN TIME!

First add the liquid pouch

Then the dry pouch! See the pepperchino slices & garlic!?

Today is special because I’m going to add some herbs from my herb garden! Fresh basil, thyme, and rosemary!!!

Mix together, top with parmesan, and enjoy!

I thought I’d get bored of eating this after a while, never have. There are different flavors plus is so quick & easy it’s perfect for cooking while still being able to work on projects.

Looks delicious!
OMG, that looks so good and easy to make! I really want to try some now. Hahaha. I should look for something like that when I move out for college this fall.
oh YUM what a great tip! it looks very tasty i have to say! i’m not sure if they sell anything like that over here though…
I’m a little scared of pre-packaged pasta mixes, which is weird, because I *love* all sorts of instant ramen.
My favorite quick pasta is just to cook up some pasta, toss it with a little olive oil and garlic (browned in the olive oil), and then mixed in some chopped up fresh basil, salt, and cheeeeeeese. It’s fantastic if you have a fresh basil plant on hand.
that looks so good! *O*
i’ve never seen those pre-packaged sauce mixes here though, will look carefully next time~
That looks really interesting & yummy
I think fresh herbs make everything better.
it’s great to be able to work at home! I get tired of it sometimes though, I drive to the office when I don’t need to.
