Max Pure Brown Circle Lenses
Tuesday February 02, 2010
Firstly, I’m feeling better! Like, MIRACULOUSLY better by this evening! Mike said it would only last 3 days and he was right. I was a little sluggish until the afternoon. But now I’m feeling good. Also it’s snowing… again. They said maybe 6″ ?!
Secondly, for any poor souls following my twitter I apologize for my USPS rage-induced ranting you had to endure all day, haahaaa. But I was excited to track down my package because it was the replacement lens of the MAX Pure Brown circle lens series!!

Pinky Paradise was kind enough to ship me a new lens free of charge to replace the defective one I had first received. THANK YOU! PINKY PARADISE! PINKY PARADISE! PINKY PARADISE! PINKY PARADISE! PINKY PARADISE! :fleetheart:
These are my waaay more natural looking pair. I could actually wear these to work I think without much notice or comments which would be nice!
They do add diameter to your eye because they’re 14.5 lenses. But the color is just so lovely with green eyes. And they’re fairly comfortable!! Waaay more comfortable than my Geo Angel lenses. Though not as comfortable as the KING Blue lenses I have. Those feel like daily wears! These are good though. Just need drops every now & then.

I had some past comments asking me if circle lenses were safe or how do you take care of them or what do you need? So I threw a little response together. And also, some thought you NEED to have a prescription to wear them. Not true! It’s actually easier if you don’t need prescription circle lenses since the plano (-0.0, meaning no prescription) are much, much easier to find! :good:
Are circle lenses safe?
Daily contacts wearers will find this all quite repetitive, haahaa~
feel free to skip! This is more for first time contact wearers!
A LOT of people have asked me if circle lenses were safe to wear. Yes. They’re actually quite safe if you follow proper instructions. Just like daily wear contacts! You know, no sleeping in them, rinse and clean them before wear AND after wear, store them properly, and so on.
The only damage contacts can do is if you don’t take care of them properly.
Just like any other daily contacts, a few simple steps can keep your contacts and eyes healthy and happy!
However, unlike many daily wear contacts, these circle lenses are often a bit thicker. When you wear contacts you’re blocking oxygen from reaching the eye. It’s not as scary as it sounds. It just means you don’t want to suffocate your eye with wearing them for more than 8~10 hours a day. For those with sensitive eyes stick to 6 hours or less. And do not ever sleep in them. EVER.
Clean them properly after each wear with a daily solution meant for soft contacts. (With washed and cleaned hands of course!) The solution is extremely easy to find. I use Bausch & Lomb’s Renu Fresh multi-purpose solution. However, and this goes for all contacts, even though the solution says “no rub,” rub your contacts just a bit anyway. Years ago “no rub” solution didn’t exist. Instead you’d have like 3 bottles. One for disinfection, 1 for storage, and one for rewetting. With the invention of no rub many people have stopped softly rubbing (or cleaning) their contacts. You should still gently rub them, just a bit, and rinse to work off any excess protein that may have built up from the days wear.
Protein is really the contact killer. A bad buildup of protein not only keeps more oxygen from reaching your eye, but shortens your contact’s lifespan, can create blurred vision by clouding the contact and can even cause eye infections!

I also use a more deep cleaning solution once or twice a week! Clear Care! It really freshens up my daily wears and is safe for any soft contacts lenses. You place your contacts into the unique cleansing case then when you add the solution. Bubbles start floating to the top cleaning away excess protein and killing bacteria! Your contacts should stay in the solution for at least 8 hours. It costs slightly more than typical daily solution but since I don’t use it as often it’s worth the extra!

Another thing to be careful of is constantly wanting to touch your eye due to uncomfortable contacts. You should only touch your eye with clean and washed hands or else you could rish getting an infection. Instead, I highly recommend buying a tiny bottle of rewetting drops for this! Most discomfort is due to dryness. Again, easy to find, relatively cheap, and super tiny so you can carry it around in your purse or even pocket!

As always, proper storage for contacts is a must! These should be rinsed after each use as well. The solution can dry inside the case (when left open after contacts are removed.) And bacteria can grow inside causing eye infections and protein buildup. It’s all about staying clean for your eye’s health! And the same steps preserve the lifespan of your contacts too!

I found this really great page on total lens care. The internet, including Youtube, can be a great resource for first time contact wears!

They actually make your eyes look a lot bigger!! Do you wear false eyelashes by the way? What brand do you use? I like it :)
-
THESE LOOK A-MAZING on you!!! And thank you for posting the cleaning tips, i could not stress cleaning your contacts enough, and wash your hands ppl! Its no surprise ppl are getting pink eye, you must cleanse your lenses especially if you plan on keeping them for a year.
Seriously, thank you :)
ps that sweater is very cute! is it new?
-
you look so so goooood with them on!
i like the brown on the green,
it looks fab :D -
!
What else are you NOT supposed to wear for work!?!Your eyes have a hazel tone on them now! It’s really pretty! :)
-
You look good in them! =)
Wow, reading all that lens care you wrote make it sound like wearing contacts is such a hassle, LOL. There’s so much work to do for just keeping them clean! I’ve never worn contacts in my life ever but I do wear reading glasses. I don’t know if I’d actually want to start trying to wear contacts someday~ But I really really don’t like touching my eyeballs and my eyes are like super sensitive!
Btw, I didn’t know colour contacts are so cheap. I’ve always thought they were expensive for some reason. XD
-
Girl, you remind me of Leah Dizon in these pics. Love those lenses on you. ;)
-
Haha wow cool!!! i am actually scared of contact lenses because my sister had an accident with one before so I havent really tried. maybe someday I will. hehe. :)
I also like Yes style! (saw it on your sidebar)
-
great post! i’ve never wanted to try them because it seems too intense for me, also im scared of putting stuffs in my eye!
but maybe i’ll try it, i really want grey eyes or YELLOW! that’ll be natural looking lol.. -
Glad to hear you are feeling better! The weather around here doesn’t help, either, though >.>
I also love how the contacts blend in with the natural color of your eyes; very cute!
-
When I saw the first picture of you I thought of Chinatsu instantly~ Haha! And your hair looks really nice~!!! Really makes me consider cutting my hair. I’m hesitant to part with my long hair though.
I use Clear Care too~ It cleans so well~ But sometimes I find that the solution over bubbles so much that the next day all of it has overflowed onto the table and left with life only a bit left at the bottom =(
-
They’re very flattering on you (especially in the second to last picture; great color!!) but usually I find them really “AHH!!!” if you know what I mean? Maybe it’s just an overload when I see them in certain magazines so much, hahaha.
-
Awesome! So glad your package finally came. They look great on you and the tips for lens care were really helpful. I have never worn contacts before and now with these helpful hints I won’t make stupid mistakes. Thanks!
-
Glad to hear you are nearing full recovery!
Man, I had no idea so much care goes into wearing contacts. I mean, I know you have to be extra careful, but still. I’ve thought about wearing contacts before but after reading this post, I think I’ll pass XD Besides, I don’t like putting objects into my eyes O_o
-
sdfh!
THE LENSES LOOK SO GOOD ON YOU ( ;A; )
I was always scared ordering brown lenses because of my green eyes but hell yeah,
now I am going to place my order right away!
Besides, they do look super natural at all ♥ lovelove!
Thanks! -
aside from the circle lenses, your haircut is super cute! it’s such a simple, elegant style. how do you style it?
-
Wow thanks very helpful!
and your photos look great, very nice shots.
but i don’t understand what you mean by this protein stuff??like am i not allowed to eat too much protein when wearing circle lenses?sorry i am not a native speaker perhaps you meant sth different^^ -
You are so cute with these circle lenses ^^
I love brown lenses, but since my eyes are already brown i don’t know if it worths buying a pair of brown lenses :o -
I’m too much of a wimp to even try lenses… the thought of poking myself in the eye… hehe ;) Luckily I only need my glasses for very small fonts and when playing the xbox on a small screen.
Have you lost more weight again? Your face looks so thin in those shots. Don’t get too skinny on us
-
Wow great info! I’m actually thinking of getting nromal contact lens this year as part of my yearly insurance cover prescription thingy~ I shall see how it goes with me poking my eye ^^
-
those look sooooo good on you. really gorgeous, with the green in the middle.
you look so doll-like now whenever you wear lenses! ^^ -
Hi!
I’ve read your blog for years, but I don’t think I’ve ever posted a reply :D
You’re absolutely lovely!!! And I wish you the best always!!!
-
I’m so glad to hear you got a replacement lense so quickly and for free, that was good service. And I’m very happy that you are feeling much better! Too bad about the snow tho XP
Those lenses look very natural! I like how they match well with your natural color and add diameter. Thanks for posting all the photos. And a big thanks for all the well written contact care info! I had always been curious about how/why you have to wash them, so this was very interesting and useful to me.
You are so sweet to write all that!
-
They really suit you :)
I was thinking about getting some lenses as well (like generally) so thankies for all the advice!
I hope im not too clumsy for lenses :D!!
xx
-
I like how the lenses look on you! They look great with your natural eye color :)
Glad you’re feeling better!I’ve been using contact lenses for almost 8 years; I don’t use them as often now as I did when I was younger since I’ve grown to love glasses. Think your tips are great for 1st time wearers, I’ve seen some pictures of really bad infections caused by people not taking cleaning and taking care of lenses properly.
I have circle lenses too, Geo Angel grey. My eyes are brown, but I’ve been thinking about getting some black lenses for a change in opposite direction. -
they do look lovely with green eyes!!!
-
I have to agree that GEO lenses are pretty dry for my eyes and eyedrops is a MUST. I have pretty bad experiences of eye infections once every few months in the past, probably because I was careless at handling contacts, hahaha. :D
I like this post alot because it kinda reminds me on how important the crazy contact routines are :P By the way, your new hair looks fab in those pics! Did u do anything to ur hair? like curling it or smtg??
-
I love circle lens’! I have grey ones but they create such a HAZE for me and I get so very sleep while I wear them.
Yay for getting better! I’m getting over a sinus infection. Winter isn’t much of our friends, eh? T_T -
wow those are huuuge on you! and they look great! Haha you should be a model for circle lenses or something D: It’s cool how you can kind of see your natural eyes coming through =3
-
Love those lenses! They look good on you:)I love brown lenses like those,I always think the gradient makes them blend better with lighter eyes.
-
and Im glad to hear you feeling better:)
-
-
ahhh i love those contacts on you!
it’s pretty cool how you can still see a hint of green :D -
Its crazy how you look so similar to the Asian models even though you don’t look Asian at all lol. These lenses look gorgeous on you and I love the hint of green (Linda noticed above) lol.
-
Those contacts look awesome one you!!! I wear color contacts sometimes myself, but recently I haven’t. I am thinking of ordering those same ones.
-
Woah so much to think about. Contacts scare me a bit since I just wear glasses when I need to see long distances. Haha. But in your search have you ever seen circle lenses for astygmatisms? I have one in right eye and the left eye is normal… So inconvenient…
-
LOL omg~~ you look SOOOO cute especially in the 2nd picture!!
I love how they are brown but kind of green in the middle cuz of ur natural eye color~~ it looks super cool :) -
Awww those contacts look so gorgeous! You make me want to save up for a good pair now :) Especially because you look like a freakin’ model with them! Hahha :D
-
Glad you’re feeling better! did you have a virus or something? O.o

-
Jenny, I LOVE LOVE that colour on you!!! omg!! ♥
You’re lucky you have a naturally stunning eye colour already, but for some reason these just make them POP, lol! Really, you look like a different person almost! Nice choice! :)
& hehe, we use the same contact lens solution! ♥ -
Glad you’re feeling better too!! *hug*
-

-
I\’m glad you are better!
but…I got the virus! > -
oh yeah, dont use that character..i forgot xD
so yeah i’ve been throwing up all morning :(
It just makes me want spring so much more now!
& those lenses look reallyyy nice on you!! -
There are some shops out there selling fake geo lens. Those that are made in China instead of Korea.
Those fake ones are really cheap but they hurt your eues so bad.
If you all are concerned about the authenticity of your geo lens, there is this Anti-Fake Checking System.
You can check the authenticity of GEO Lens by filling the 20 digit code in your sticker at the checking system site.

Wowwww!! The brown lenses look really great on you! And I seriously love your haircut, it’s too cute. It really suits you as well~ I wear contacts but I haven’t heard of Clear Care before. I should definitely give it a try, I’ve heard of so many horror stories involving contacts especially when people fall asleep with it on!
-
Those circle lens look cute on you! Btw love your hair! I’m trying to grow my bangs out so my face would look much slimmer, I always have the habit to cut them but I’m urging myself to not cut them XDD.
-
I like your make-up! The whole look is very dolly. :]
-
Haha, you just reminded me how awful I am with taking care of my contacts. I’m trying, though~
Those contacts look really awesome, I wonder if I can wear those kinds ON TOP of my prescription contacts- No, just kidding. That’d be contact and eye murder! :D
-
your hair cut is really cute T___T
-
Happy to know you’re feeling better! :)
You reminded me in Rinka in that last shot :D The circle lenses make you look so pretty! It makes you look like a totally different person. Haha~ How long to the circle lenses last? Is it like a two week then throw away kind of thing? And how do they feel different from regular sized contacts? I think its great that they go up to -10….im getting there soon D: Im blind.
-
I like them, they make your eyes look big & bright!
-
wow, it looks so pretty on your green eyes!
too bad my eyes are naturally brown =u=;; -
hey…i saw from your post that you made a purchase from mycandyeyes.com before, and i also purchase some lenses from them 3 days ago, but later i read on some other’s blog that they didnt receive their lenses till a month later, and as did you! I was wonder how long did you waited before you started asking them about their lenses? I dont want to get scam from them, and yet i dont want to keep bugging them about my lenses….=/ thanks for reading my rant! =)
-
Hi again ^.^ I have one more question (I hope I’m not bothering you.) can you wear circle lenses for 8 hours and than change to your normal contact lenses? cuz I’m blind without lenses. XD
-
I’ve ordered prescription lenses from mycandyeyes last month (may 9th) and its honestly been a month till now and I still have not received my order nor have the site responded back to any of my e-mails regarding my order. On the site it keeps saying processing and they already charged my credit card $35.98 and still no contacts… I don’t know what to do. Everyone keeps saying do a dispute on paypal? But I am truly not familiar on how paypal works or how to file a dispute towards mycandyeyes considering I used my american express card. I feel like this site is a fraud and should be immediately investiaged and shut down by authorities. I really want my money back since I feel like I got scammed badly. It’s my first time ordering online with my credit card and now I’m scared to ever do it again because of mycandyeyes. I live in the U.S and its funny how they apparently stopped shipping here… can anyone help me? And I’ve recently found out they have disabled their [email protected] account.

Great review, thanks for sharing it here !
