Sponsored Post: D’ Beauty Shop

This weekend I received 2 pairs of circle lenses from D’ Beauty Shop. *_* They were Dueba MX21 in green and brown! They’re actually doing a giveaway right now. You can find the information here. :good:

The lenses came in a nicely pack box with 2 contact lens cases to store them in. Below are close up pictures of the lenses after I’ve put them in the lens cases.

A few eye shots now.
I cringe a bit when posting these, LOL, but I do want to show the circle lens effect!

Just 1 Green lens in

I was surprised at just how well they blended with my natural color here! But you can tell a diameter difference in the iris size.

Dueba Green Lenses

With the flash you can see the black ring a bit better than in natural lighting.

Dueba Brown Lenses

These sort of remind me of tiger’s eye! Haahaa! The color was stronger than expected but I like it for a less natural look.

I hadn’t tried any Dueba lenses before. Firstly, I LOVE the green lenses! They blend so wonderfully with my natural eyes! :good: The brown are really pretty in person but the camera flash does reveal the slight color difference in my natural color and the lens, but not too badly though. I really prefer these lenses that have the gradual color into the center rather than a harsh circular center edges. These rate pretty high on the comfort scale for me too. :good: Drops are still needed to re-wet them after a few hours of wear but mostly I didn’t even notice I had them in.

Dueba Brown Lenses

I look sorta surprised in the last picture! Haahaa, camera flash is so bright haahaa. The colors are a bit similar I think! But the brown pair, when using flash, are slightly less natural looking for my light green eyes. Less noticeable in natural light, like in the first photo posted up top, but I didn’t get many photos of the brown lenses because I wanted to get this posted right away!!

Hope every had a great weekend!!

I’ve seen it a few times in magazine issues where they discuss circle lenses. It’s not a very popular color actually LOL, or so it seeeeeems~

I really want to buy another pair of circle lenses! The ones I currently have are non-prescription so I don’t really wear them. Maybe I will, teehee.

That’s so cool! They make your eyes pop even more than they already do–great choice!
I’d be tempted to buy these kinds of lenses too, but I’m too squicked by the thought of even putting contacts in :p

Oh I am loooooving the green lenses on you! They look so great!

I want green lenses myself, but since my eyes are such a dark brown, I’m looking for something that will actually appear to lighten them, as opposed to just having a dark green that is barely noticeable on me.

jenny said
March 15, 2010 @ 9:10 pm

Dark browns I feel can wear more colors just because it makes your brown look like pupil so it’s not too obvious in the color difference. The King series has very vivid color if that helps

Wow, those are gorgeous! And wait … your prescription is -9.00 in one eye? You poor thing! I’ve been thinking about getting prescription contacts that are a bit different … I have hazel eyes and I would love to make them more green! They look amazing on you

jenny said
March 15, 2010 @ 9:11 pm

It’s -8.50 in the other, so it’s not too drastic between the eyes Oh I think the green might look good on hazel eyes too! Add a greener rim to them!

What brand would you recommend for the best brown lenses that are comfortable to wear during, let’s say, school (7hours max) ? :O

jenny said

Barbie brand King Brown’s

i actually found your site by googling(sp?) circle lenses, and i just have to say, the green in natural light look GORGEOUS ON YOU!! they look so natural and so pretty! you are lucky to have green eyes. i have blueish gray eyes, and i think it would be hard to find circle lenses to match them let alone i have to wear prescription lenses already.

jenny said
March 15, 2010 @ 9:14 pm

You would look amazing in gray lenses I bet!!! Some of the gray lenses go up pretty far in prescription like -10.00.

Oh those green circle lenses are amazing. I always had a soft spot for green. Haha.
I doubt though that a lighter color would look okay on my dark brown eyes. :(

Oh I don’t think so, all the Japanese magazines show light contacts on dark brown and they’re gorgeous!

WOW Jenny, the green ones look fantastic on you!

I’m still debating what color circle lenses I’m going to go for, but I find your review posts of the lenses pretty helpful insofar as good brands!

Oh thank you soooooo much for posting this! I didn’t know these lenses came in -9.00 … that’s actually my eyesight for both of my eyes *sigh* Got glasses when I was 7 years old, so growing up meant growing eyes and even more bad eyesight. Luckily it hasn’t become worse. I’m so gonna order a pair at the end of the month Totally bookmarked the website. The colors you got really suit your eyes your eyes really pop and say “pretty” ~

jenny said
March 15, 2010 @ 9:17 pm

I’ve got 3 pairs on. The full set are those choco case lashes I got a while back, just big & dramatic. Then I have the Ardell accent lashes on the top outer and I cut off a bit from a pair of “natural look” Spring Heart lashes to add to my bottom outer corners.

I wish I can wear contacts. I just feel weird touching my eye. LOL!

jenny said

I understand. It’s easier when you already have to b/c you’re blind like me LOL. You get used to it when you don’t want to live in glasses 24/7

The last time i bought contacts, they were like 300 dollars for yearly. Is it possible to get cheaper prescription ones?

jenny said
March 16, 2010 @ 12:47 pm

Are you talking about daily wear contacts b/c yea that sounds about right. I wear daily wear contacts mostly and a year’s supply is about $200. These are circle lenses though. Not meant for long wear like daily wear but 1 pair does last a year You can find them in prescriptions too. The web shops are usually overseas so buying a prescription pair is allowed without a prescription check.

I’m still not sure I like these lenses. They’re such a big change aren’t they? They look great in photos mind you

March 16, 2010 @ 4:59 pm

I love these contacts so much. I’m interested in trying them, but do you think they are too distracting in the office for daily wear?

jenny said
May 11, 2010 @ 8:12 pm

They’re quite a big enlargement so it’s likely your everyday coworkers would notice but they’re not vivid colors or anything

The green lenses look so good on you! I love them ^^

I have green eyes, a bit darker than yours and I find it a bit difficult to find lenses that don’t look weird on me.

Which one is bigger, the pure brown or MX21 green? And which one would you recommend?

I would really appreciate if you could answer!

jenny said
May 11, 2010 @ 8:11 pm

I think they’re the same diameter (14.5) but the MX21 green would definitely blend best!
