Mountain Day Trip!

*WAVING FEROCIOUSLY* Hello, Hello! :sparkleup: Gah, there’s so much I want to blog about but this week was just really busy with Dr. appointments and everything. :skull: Then this weekend I did some serious retail therapy :smallcry: plus I dined out for all but 1 meal (tonight’s dinner.) Ah, it was a weekend of excess, I dunno~! Was fun while it lasted :grinning:
Last weekend we went up to the Shenandoah mountains for a lovely day trip. It’s a couple hours drive but they’ve got great lodges there that serve delicious food plus the added bonus of gorgeous surroundings. Wanted to post some snaps. :blushingcute: We went to some closer mountains this weekend but I didn’t bring a camera :crap: But the leaves this weekend were much more vivid in autumn colors! Last weekend things were still a bit green. :;_;:

This is at the lodge’s dining hall :good: There are 2 main lodges here, this one is called Big Meadows Lodge. We arrived right at lunch time so we were able to get a table overlooking the rolling hills! :kissyfaceheart:
This is actually Turkey Pot Pie! I love that it’s not in actual “pie form” but instead this sort of inside-out deal. Tastes exactly the same, actually better!

I wish I could take a mountain day trip! It’s so cold out nowadays though so I guess I have to wait until spring~ :( As far as I know, there’s only like one really good place to hike here in NJ and at least it’s not too far from me…

I love the mountain views here. Haven’t had a chance to go somewhere like this this year so far. I’m going to Falling Water near Pittsburgh at the end of the month though, hopefully there are still different layers of colorful leaves to see~ -
Gorgeous scenery, Jen! It really makes me miss Minnesota where I lived for a couple of years. The Fall there is absolutely divine :) And also, the first picture of you could totally be in a fashion magazine! BTW, I was at a Mitsuwa a couple of weeks ago and saw that they started selling all kinds of false lashes and they totally reminded me of you :) They had the dolly wink lashes you got from Japan as well as the Koji Spring Heart lashes that was part of your first giveaway.

Nice! I used to go up there with my family aaaall the time growing up but I haven’t been by there in ages! They started charging a few years ago for Skyline Drive ($15!!!) so that’s a big deterrent : /

The scenery looks amazing! What a constructive way to spend days off- relaxing without becoming a couch potato.
I also love your boots! I wanted a pair like that, but Mom was adamant that they were construction boots and that I didn’t need them. Hahaha…

the scenery was absolutely beautiful!!! It’s pictures like this and people’s enthusiastic comments that remind me to stop moaning about the rain and enjoy the beautiful nature (which I’m really not too fond of – an unrepentant city girl XDDD). Must take advantage of living on west coast Canada! Your outfit looks sooo cute – you remind me of Rinka! In the first picture of your legs, socks and shoes, at first I didnt even realize you were wearing tights! hahahaha fail~ So what is the lace dress like? I’ve been looking for a cute lace-ish dress to wear under longer looser tshirts/tops but I cant ever seem to find a good one T_T. Does it have sleeves, spaghetti straps? Could you recommend any North American brands that would make something similar? You look absolutely great!!!

Aw, the scenery looks so nice and rustic and you look so cute in those clothes, that style suits you well~ :) … I love those kinds of places, I’ll be sure to check it out when I get to Virginia, because I’m about to visit my brother who lives there. Here, in Uruguay, I’ve been able to enjoy the fall scenery but being from the Caribbean I’m missing the year-round summer. :D Hope you had fun! :)
