American Apparel Girly Lace Socks

Some weekends just sorta disappear. I saw X-Men First Class Saturday morning. Good, good :deco15: But this weekend was sorta “meh.” I’ll blame PMS. :;_;: I kept forgetting to take outfit snaps too. :;_;: Or really any snaps! Gaaah :P
Mostly I window shopped. I did good! OK, I did buy a few things. :arrow:
Firstly, like I said Friday, I went to American Apparel. There was a maxi skirt I wanted to try. Tried it on, looked terrible on me, LOL, lolol but picked up these socks and shoelaces. I’m gonna put the laces in my black oxford heels to make them look less “winter” to me. :ok:
I saw these socks a few months ago & talked myself out of them. :dizzy: But after seeing them in PopSister so much I finally bought a pair. I like the other colors too, the gray and the beige. But I’ll wait to see how much I’ll wear these. If I wear them a ton I’ll buy the other colors then. The laces however were pure, at the counter, impulse buy. *whoops* :?:
Then I finally jumped on the jade nail polish bandwagon! lolol This is Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in shade Jade Jump. :deco7: This is my favorite drugstore brand nail color because I’m all about QUICK DRYING. :deco9: The colors tend to go on well in 1 easy coat and dry super fast. It does chip if you don’t apply a top coat. But why wouldn’t you apply a top coat? I apply a base + top coat with every polish I use no matter the brand. :deco4:
I also bought this candy bar this weekend, lol. It’s new Hershey’s Air Delight. I usually don’t like Hersey’s chocolate (Godiva snob, sorry,) :deco13: but I wanted to see how this turned out! Well, meh… I was disappointed. :;_;: Yes, it was Milk Chocolate, really milky and smooth. But I was hoping it would be more like Aero :(. I LOVE the texture or Aero and other chocolates like it. This was like eating a soft half melted Hershey’s kiss. So if you love Hershey’s you’ll probably like this. 200 calories a bar. Plus Aero is still difficult to find in the States outside of World Market & gourmet groceries. :):deco13:
Didn’t do much else. Got mega blisters on my toes (getting re-used-to summer shoes is always fun LOL, especial high heel peep-toe shoes) on Friday, then today I packed up a bunch of post to go out. Father’s Day gift, sending a friend a care package (bwahahah,) and then a small box of clothes to my sister. Some items I’m not wearing these days. Mostly Mickey tees, a dress, rompers :P :ok:
That reminds me I need to buy some more shoe insoles!! Can never over pimp out your shoes. Make them as comfy as possible. :ok:

I remember seeing an outfit on tokyofashion of a girl with lace shoelaces, so now I totally want to try them out! They look mad cute :3
Also, it’s hard to find Aero in the US? Here in Canada you can find it anywhere, they sell it for 69 cents in the dollar store! XD so I could easy just send you a load if you want :)

The socks are super cute! I see them often when I go into the Factory store..but I’d never know what to wear them with if I purchased them.
Funny how time passes (or the weekend) so fast!

because i have Trypophobia, that candy bar just freaks the shit outta me.
american apparel does tend to have that “u really need to buy this” affect on ppl.
im trying so hard….but in nyc…SHOPPING IS EVERYWHERES

I love weekends that seem like a blur~ it’s so much better to be out & about than stuck inside XD -

After working at a shoe store where we had shoe insole/shoe care goals, I really do see the value in shoe insoles. I love em. I want to get those socks too! Those laces are so adorable I want them but I know I wouldn’t use them at all lol.

That’s so weird….
I went shopping the day before yesterday and bought exactly the same kinds of items, even the same colour nail polish :P
But I can’t find any pretty ankle socks here :’( I want some to go with my Henry Holland loafer heels :)
England sucks. Oh well. At least we have a lot of Aeros xD

Cute socks, nice idea to combine your outfit like that. Love the minty jade nail polish. I’m looking for one, too. So pretty. I also always do base and top coat. It seems to last longer… :)

Ah, jade nail polish. I thought this was going to be THE color for me for summer, but I just can’t pull it off. I got the ORLY mint mojito color and it’s just…not right. I think because I usually wear a jade bangle that’s *kind* of the same color, but not exactly, the two jade colors clash. Oh yeah, I do NOT recommend the ORLY mint mojito b/c it turns your nails yellow! Gross.
I think I’ll stick to corals for summer. Something about them makes me feel so summery.

I tried some limited edition coconut Twix the other day! It was soooooooooooo goooooddddd. The coconut was mixed in with the cookie for a refreshingly exotic taste! LOL I SOUND LIKE I’M PUSHING TWIX. I should be paid for this!
But try it if you like coconut :’D

Yay! I saw someone on the train with that jade color on her toes, and I really really liked it. Glad to see it in insta-dry. That’s the only kind I buy too! I absolutely can not stand to sit still for so long with regular nail polish.

wasn’t x-men: first class just ABSOLUTELY first class?!?! i loved it, loved it!!! think of all the films, this was my favourite simply because it told of the beginnings of x-men and how, after watching it, things made so much more sense and everything else fell into place (for me). of course the action scenes were a big part of the epicness, too.

Interesting that Hershey’s is finally making a candy bar like this…. I finally got to try Aero when I was in the UK and its SOOO good, but as far as cheap chocolate goes, Cadbury is King.

x-men first class was the best x-men movie so far imo.
I will purchase those AA shoestrings soon. Forgot to add them to my basket over the weekend.
