Sundown Multivitamin with Collagen

Sunday July 24, 2011

Courtney asked if I could post more about health & beauty, etc. I’ve posted a bit ago about how I take daily collagen supplements. Well I’ve also been taking these vitamin supplements for a couple of months now. Sundown Hair Skin & Nails Multivitamin with Collagen multivitamin with Collagen! Since January at least. I like them. I do think they help because hair grows a bit faster, my nails grow faster than ever, and I haven’t been nearly as sick this winter compared to past flu seasons. I just take 1 daily with dinner.

Official Description:
Hair, Skin and Nails
Sundown Natural’s Improved Hair, Skin & Nails formula, with Collagen, provides an extensive array of nutrients, including Vitamin C and Biotin, to support the structural foundation of hair, skin and nails. Vitamins A along with B Vitamins Riboflavin, Niacin, and Folic Acid round out these expertly formulated tablets for extra support. Beautify yourself with Sundown’s Hair, Skin & Nails!

On a whim I picked up these Sephora accent lashes last week or so.

“Wink” type “contains 8 quarter-length soft, long sections.”

I was feeling skeptical and thought $8 was pushing it for Sephora brand lashes. BUT. I’m so happy I did! I love them. They give the perfect little almost cat eye effect I wanted but still wearable for work. I mostly just wear one cluster each on the outer most corner of my eyes. They can be worn altogether though. I’ll try that out soon too since it’ll be a heavier more dramatic look. They remind me a lot of the Shu Uemura style accents.

Interesting!!! I need to look into using collagen supplments before I start using them since I already take four vitamins already. T.T

  2. Tasja says:

Those lashes really do look great. I’m also in the search for accent lashes to wear on the corner of my eyes, maybe I’ll give these a try :)
I’m curious how they suit you!

oh and btw.. I’m one of those people that think that supplements are scary xD Even vitamins or normal pills look suspicious to my haha I’m also never able to swallow them :/

  3. Lei says:

I’ve been looking for products/supplements to invest into since I’m not getting any younger. Since reading the old post on the benefits of collagen I think I will definitely try it.

Oh I hope it gives you some good results! For me, I found that, not only to a break out less, but if I do my skin heals twice as fast as it used to before starting the collagen. :)

  4. Tori says:

Thanks for sharing these, especially the hair, skin & nails vitamins! Definitely wanna give them a try ♥

    • jenny says:

I’m definitely happy with them. The beauty incentive helps motivate me to take them or else I wouldn’t be taking any vitamins despite my grandmother’s constant nagging.

  5. Tiffany says:

Ooh I want to try those vitamins! I heard collagen is supposed to be really good for you :O

  6. ah i might try those vitamins too since i’ve always been skeptical whether they work or not~~

    • jenny says:

My family was always on me to take daily vitamins. Finally I’m able to stick to one strictly thanks to it being beauty related :P

  7. Souno says:

    I saw those lashes!
I always wanted to try supplements but I don’t like taking big pills.

  8. Betty says:

You’re so good at taking your supplements regularly :)
I would start and give up half way through XD. I saw those Sephora lashes but they’re even pricier in Canada so I totally by passed them.

    • jenny says:

I used to be terrible at taking vitamins daily too. I’d always forget. But I think because these are beauty related I was more motivated to keep on it. I also use a pill case now that I bring with me which helps me remember.

  9. Michelle says:

I’m so bad at taking my vitamins and other health-related pills. I get so worked up on school and other responsibilities that I forget about my own well-being T_T

I would totally love to see a photo with the lashes on! :O

    • jenny says:

It was really hard for me to be good about it too! Really I only started being better about it this year. I got myself a pill case too which helps. I take it to work & leave it out on my desk so I remember better. I think it’s mostly about timing & luck to get a good routine started. I tried soooo many times before & always failed.

  10. Leslie says:

The only vitamins I can remember to take every day are gummy vitamins :’) I might have to start trying to take the ‘adult’ ones as well (in a pill case and everything)

Also, those accent lashes are sooo cute they reminded me of Shu Uemura accents too when I first saw them. For some reason I never notice Sephora brand lashes in the store, but I’ll have to keep an eye out for these!

    • jenny says:

They’re currently mixed into their whole “bulk” section with nail files etc. They’ve been releasing more and more styles :)

  11. L says:

Hair skin and nail vitamins always have lots of good feedback! I’ve been meaning to get back on them but I just can’t seem to work taking vitamins into my normal routine. I always forget :P Dunno how you manage taking vitamins daily XD

    • jenny says:

I made it a new years resolution and bought a daily pill case and everything. That’s when it got easier. Because until then I’d start a bottle then forget weeks at a time x(

    Hi sweetie, I just recently started following your Tumblr and regularly find myself on your blog too now ^^;;

I’m going to track down this “Hair, Skin & Nails” multi-vitamin as it sounds interesting to me. I’m for the healthier lifestyle option and have been visiting a naturopath since April (a month after I returned home from Japan) and noticed a big improvement from just taking daily multi-vitamins with breakfast.

    • jenny says:

That’s great that you’re taking good care of yourself and feeling better for it!!!! If you do start taking these I hope you see benefits too!

And thank you for following both my Tumblr and my blog now too!

  13. Ingrid says:

Thanks for the supplement tip! I’m always interested in health stuff… and in regards to your previous “burn out” post, I’m glad you still love blogging so frequently. Your posts are always something to look forward to :)

  14. karen says:

hi jenny, can you post a picture of you wearing the sephora accent lashes? thanks!

  15. lissy says:

lovely lashes, I just take a tablet of spirulina when I feel like it :)

  16. rae says:

interesting. i really should take vitamins and supplements as well, especially since i don’t eat any meat. oh, i was thinking it would be really cool if you did maybe a house tour, and maybe even a separate closet tour, and post some photos of how you have everything organized. i don’t know if you have done one before, but i always see snippets of your closet in your outfit posts, and would love to see the whole thing.

    • jenny says:

Oh a vegetarian?? Yeah usually I hear protein and iron supplements are needed if you’re avoiding meat but I don’t know personally.

Well I took a bunch of photos of my place when I moved in a few years ago. Honestly it’s changed little since then. It includes my closet too under the tag of “home” I’d say starting from here and back

i bought some accent lashes not too long ago and they’re more like dramatic lashes loool. i think i have to go for more natural ones..

    • jenny says:

I worried these would be TOO MUCH DRAMA but they weren’t too bad actually. I’m leaning towards natural lately too. Sorta got tired of super drama look after a while ~~ Maybe I’ll change again come winter but right now I’m all about the subtle touches :P

  18. Huynh says:

The lashes look amazing. You should take a picture of yourself with them.

  19. Sidney says:

I just found out we FINALLY got a Sephora on my side of the state this past year. I feel like I need to go back through all your makeup reviews and hardcore consider what I should buy! EASILY ACCESSIBLE MAKEUP!!!

  20. Ria says:

I’ve been wanting to try a hair, skin, and nails vitamin. But I’m worried about the nail thing, my nails already grow like crazy. Eeek. Love the lashes, I love Shu Uemura’s but they can get pricey. I’d love to see these on you btw.

  21. Courtney says:

These lashes look cute…I wonder what you mean by the slightly cat-eye effect~ Love to see :)

Ohhh thanks!! X3 Oh very interesting! I really wanna take better care of my hair…(while growing it out!)…does this help at all with hair health? Like shiny-ness/smoothness?
    Thanks~
