Jurlique Rose Body Care Lotion

Tuesday November 29, 2011

I have yet another rose lotion. :deco1: I got this in the same Yesstyle order as Paul Smith Rose. This is the more luxurious rose body lotion from Jurlique. It’s Jurlique Rose Body Care (link.) It’s a lightweight rose scented body lotion.

It’s almost like a moisturizing milk. It has a slightly runny consistency that absorbs quickly into the skin. It doesn’t really leave a greasy firm but it does immediately moisturize, leaving your skin feeling quite supple! The scent is subtle and soft and reminiscent of slightly fragrant rose petals. I think of it as a baby-soap rose smell. :deco1: Though the scent is subtle, it does last. You can still wear a fragrance with this though without worry of clashing.

“A hydrating everyday moisturizer”

A lightweight lotion featuring the relaxing scent of rose that restores lost moisture to leave skin smooth, supple and glowing.

* Lightweight, milky body lotion to refresh, hydrate and protect body skin.
* Helps increase softness and suppleness of skin.
* Provides long-lasting hydration and natural antioxidant protection.

I really wanted to try this brand after seeing Jurlique skincare on model blogs and throughout magazines. Most recently I saw it in Figue and this month’s Sweet.

Apparently you’re supposed to shake it a bit before each use. I didn’t know that at first! So if you get it just a little FYI there. :)
I don’t know if it’s because it’s so lightweight or if I’m just using it a lot but I’m going through the bottle pretty quickly too! ^_^

Ahhh more rose! I love this obsession of yours, it fuels my own. :) I use the Jurlique lavender hand cream! I just found yesstyle.ca for Canada so I’m pretty excited.

I’m always curious about lotions in Japanese magazines, but I don’t know very much about them. There’s a really good Japanese cosmetics store in Shanghai, so maybe I’ll browse through there when I’m in town.

I just realized I will have an allergy attack if i ever meet you in person. WHYYY JENNYYYYYY WE ARE NOT MEANT TO BE :(

  4. Courtney says:

Very nice! A light-scented version will be nice too~ Plus the hydration for the winter! :)

  5. Stacy says:

You are the rose-scent queen! haha
Maybe I will splurge before Christmas and invest in some, because your posts always make me wonder why I don’t own more! haha.

Did you enjoy the rain today? I’m surprised how warm it’s been the past few days!

  6. Fuuka says:

Oooh! I probably could use this too, it is all natural right? Usually I just have to use Aveeno fragrance free lotion, otherwise I get red irritated skin. I do have the Stella McCartney body milk I use on my arms to add extra fragrance for special occasions.

  7. Lapinou says:

I think its so nice you have a scent that you like and can buy many different products with the rose scent! I can’t pick one scent I always like haha XD

It’s just great more & more products featuring rose seem to be coming out. I think for the US it’s sorta a forgotten scent from the past but is slowly making a come back thankfully!

Awesome! I haven’t yet buy any magazine, this 3 months are super pain for me. too much work to do :((

    pls take care,

  11. Tori says:

Sounds lovely again, haha! ♥ You are slowly starting to turn me onto rose-scented things, & I normally hate floral scents.

    • jenny says:

Funnily enough I would totally say I HATE floral scents too! I really do. I hate them! But if it’s a pure rose-only I love it. Generic floral scents though I still rarely like. I try to avoid bath salts with it but the few I’ve tried lately I’m just like “no me gusta.” They give me headaches. I guess I’m just a picky snob when it comes to my “florals.”

  12. I really want to buy something with rose scent, because of you! XD Have you ever tried a korean gum that have rose flavor? Or maybe it’s chinese. As for Victoria’s Secrets scents too.

  13. Lucille says:

Do try the body wash in this line (heavenly!) The rose hand cream is very heavy (perfect for winter – plus it can live in your handbag) but the Rose scent will have you in rapture! Jurlique is so lovely xx

  14. _lyne says:

ahh you are tempting me to get this because I love love love rose scented products!

  15. Becca says:

This reminds me… one of my coworkers uses a rose-scented lotion (not sure which one) but once in a while at work I’ll get a whiff of a rose-y smell… :) I don’t wear rose scented things myself but it smells lovely!

    • jenny says:

Ah that’s nice~ I sit around “I’m allergic to everything and thusly complain about even a hint of scent” people. So they don’t appreciate those wafts as much x(

  16. Tasja says:

    It does look really cute.
I never actually tried a rose scented bodylotion.. I now have a cucumber scented bodylotion. Never thought that I would like such a scent but I actually do. It’s really fresh :)

Oh cucumber! That takes me back to high school when Bath & Body Works opened in my city and cucumber-melon was the trend scent for like 5 years!! It’s refreshing!

  17. cin says:

Oh my this sounds lovely too~~ I think they sell them over here too :D

  18. mishi says:

Almost everyone here has a mini bottle of some kind of rose lotion. It’s great! Rose scent is best scent :P

That’s a decent sized bottle you have there. Do you tend to use one lotion until it’s gone? or do you switch them up after a while?

    • jenny says:

I actually have a few bottles going at one time and use them up and replace them as they empty. Because sometimes I want a different scent or different type (like extra moisturizing or instead extra scented blah blah.) I keep some at my desk at work and some scattered around my house.
