Cafe Calico Shinjuku

Made a random stop at Cafe Calico in Shinjuku one night during my trip. I visited the Kichijoji Cafe Calico a few years ago. Though I think I much prefer Kichijoji’s (it seemed cleaner & cozier,) this one was extremely nearby and we needed a fun place to take our friends from Yokohama. Our friend’s wife loves cats and had never been, so this worked out fine. Though the menu offers meals, (I tried the shrimp pasta, it was “meh”) it’s very limited. So after the cafe we went out to an izakaya.

Of course this would be against all sorts of health code violations in the US…ugh. Wish we could have some sort of fun ;;== Japan just does what it waaaaaants!
