Saturday I started the day with getting dressed and heading out to Shilla Bakery for a light lunch. I finally got to sleep in which I desperately needed. I’m still getting over the flu. It’s basically a headcold now with scratchy throat, coughing, sneezing, etc. But getting better each day.
Ordered a sandwich and slice of cheesecake. We got some cookies and I decided to buy a roll cake for the office Christmas party on Monday. :deco11: I usually bake something but since I’m getting over the flu I figured a roll cake would be easier and do well. Especially since most of us at work like cake but hate frosting. :deco13: So I’ll see how well it fairs at the party :)
It’s at least cute and Christmas’y with the box they included!
We stopped by the mall for Mike’s last minute Christmas shopping. There were so many sales going on already though! Entire stores on sale. We ended up doing a little personal shopping too. Madewell was 30% off the entire store :x
Last week I ordered a shirt I had been waiting on for months. It first appeared on the site as part of an ensemble but wasn’t for sale. So I waited. And waiting. Finally the pinstriped polka dot oxford appeared!
I ordered blue though it was hard to choose. Got it. Loved it. Now pink was 30% off so I bought it Saturday. :?:
Best of all though they’re the Broadway and Broome label. I love these oxfords. I bought a few last year but recently Madewell has been carrying different labels. Broadway & Broome has a better true to size fit and use super soft cotton that’s thin but not too sheer so perfect for layering and wearing to the office. They can be worn year round IMO.
Also, these are two of the hooks I talked about picking up last weekend :)
Saturday night we went out for some crisp winter walking. Seeing the Christmas lights, checking out shops, and ended it at Louisiana Kitchen with a hot bowl of gumbo.
I’m off to do some ironing. Today is a mostly housework day. It’s ugly out anyway.
