I’ve been getting stuck while blogging so I just want to post something to nudge myself out of the slump. This tee, studs, & cherry lip balm I picked up Wednesday night when out with Mike. The posts of Fossil’s studs are a little thicker than some (just FYI.) I was able to wear them comfortable today though.

I got this Starbucks pour-over coffee maker for Christmas. I don’t drink a lot of coffee but I never liked coffee makers. Mine always annoyed me so I never made coffee. I LOVE this system though. It’s just so much easier and cleanup is a breeze. Maybe because it’s more like making tea I just like doing it this way better.

Hi! I haven’t blogged since 2013. It’s beyond the fashionably late deadline for a “year in review” post but too bad. I’m pressing forward anyhow because as I went through my photos from the past year I couldn’t believe it was a single year. I thought, “oh, that did happen this year didn’t it!?”

I won’t drone on about every little thing. Overall 2013 was a year of surprises. A year of trial & error. I learned more about myself in this single year than I have in the past 4 combined. I succeeded at last year’s resolutions but they seem somewhat petty when compared to the changes I made in late 2013.

I don’t have any resolutions for 2013. Not because I don’t need change but rather I feel I’m living from one chaotic event to the next and I’ve made peace with that. Right now I’m aware of the changes I’ve made and anticipate the changes I’ll need to make throughout 2014. If I find myself in calmer waters by 2015 that’s great! If not, that’s OK too. Accepting this rather than trying to perfect every moment and every outcome has definitely been a step in the right direction for a someone as controlling as myself.
