Damn IKEA. Why do I go to buy something the second it disappears?!?!? I really wanted this sun/wind shield for my balcony. But it’s gone from the US IKEA site (though totally on the UK, German, & other sites.) So I rushed to the store today to see if I could find it. no dice. F A I L . Can’t find anything else like it either. [Have checked Potterybarn, Crate & Barrel, Home Depot, Lowe’s, Target, e-bay…] And stupid IKEA won’t ship overseas (booooo)

Saw today that Cher is releasing their first season collection mook (magazine-book). Autumn/Winter 08-09 collection! 
And it comes with a special autumn edition of the infamous mini eco bag.
Needless to say, I want it 
Oh, so last week we finally got our recycling bin from the city (they took FOREVER getting it to us 
!!! ) and told us Tuesday was pick up. Well we get home today & there’s all our recycling still sitting out. WTF?! We called and they said “OH, we must have gotten the day mixed up… I’m not sure which day it actually is. We’ll get back to you on it!” Then they said they’d send someone out TODAY for emergency pick-up. Well, it’s 9:30. FAIL ON THAT TOO! *looks at recycling chucked full just waiting to be collected*
WAY TO GOOOOOOOO. America so doesn’t give 2 shits about recycling… it’s really sad & pathetic & upsetting.

That’s a bummer that they’re not selling it anymore. Maybe you can make it a weekend project to make your own cover, since it looks like it’s doable.

ahhhh that’s such a cute sun/wind shield thing! Ikea…ehhh…it has happened a lot to us…we find something we really like…but then when we go to the store…they have no more ;__; and we ask…are you guys gonna get more? and the answer is always NO. I hope you find something even prettier!!

Urgh, even though we’re in the middle of town and everyone else gets it we don’t get any recycling collections. We just gather it all together and take it down ourselves once a week. You’d think they’d encourage people more, wouldn’t you?

I know how gayy America is.. I hate how the garbage and recycling people don’t care about their jobs. They get trash everywhere instead of picking it up. Then when you complain… They deny everything, and say that is impossible. Then tell us some bs crap about a speed limit for them… ¬.¬

We have only just got IKEA delivering to us, and the nearest is 3 hours away. I love looking a their stuff online, but it would be even to be able to purchase it. I hope that you find what you are looking for.
We have recycling here, but they find excuses not to pick it up all the time.

Yeah it’s so frustrating that Americans won’t recycle at all. I keep my plastic bottles until I can get to somewhere to recycle them and that’s like the most effort anyone I know gives to the environment, lol. @_@; Really cute blog, btw.

in fairfax county it’s illegal not to recycle but i remember at my grandma’s condo they’d skip us allll the time because we’re a little out of the way of the rest of the complex. it always made me so mad! >:O
