Short Fringe Boots

// 45 Comments

*update 9:55pm*
Animal Crossing creepy screencap!
Mike & Me! our mii’s!
More later~~!!

*the entry below was written last night*

Last night, before I hit “Publish” I asked Mike his opinion~ does he think they’re cute, what should I do, blah blah blah
I could tell he wasn’t crazy about them, hahah. He said he just didn’t know what kind of outfit you’d wear with them. But alas if I liked them I should get the boots.
So I waltzed off and played Animal Crossing instead. Well now here I am obsessing about them A G A I N ! So I figured I’d just post the damn entry !! I’m not sure so I think I’ll try to wait till after Christmas to buy some~ maybe I’ll skip this fringe trend altogether like I had originally planned. But I’ll also have to see how much it nags at me!!! One minutes I go “Nah, they’re ugly,” the next i think, “GOD I NEED THEM! CUTE!” *sigh*

I’m liking the Free People pair a lot now~ they seem more apt to being wearable in spring and summer! Cute for summer But they still aren’t what I was looking for plus i’d probably be able to get 2 pairs of boots for cheaper than the 1 pair at Free People…

So~ below is last night’s type up~~~

Wrote this last night!

So fringe boots. Whilst in Japan I decided not too buy any, because, well, I thought they were kind of fugly anyway… well FAIL I want some now BAD because I’m in love with the short fringe boots! I’ve tried looking for some state-side (UO, Anthropologie, Zappos… ) but haven’t find any I like. I saw these on Salus today…

But I’d have to use a service like Crescent Shop in order to purchase & have them shipped to me… never used them but I know some have. If you have, any comments or tips? Any other service suggestions? This is an online shop so I don’t need a service for auctions. I was once given these 2 service links too…
celga
random ebay shopping service

I saw some fringe boots at Free People that were close… for $138.00

I could probably get these in store or at least online (easier.) But I think it’ll be more expensive than if I bought the ones from Japan :driftingoff: They are cute & I like the crafty look of them but I wish they weren’t so flat on the bottom. They are similar to the style of short fringe boots I like, the wide ankle ones :*: *nice & roomy, looks so casual!*

BUT if I do buy the Salus ones I saw another pair for only 999yen that I’m totally gone pick up just for the hell of it! Who cares if the quality is crap!? 10$! They’ll be my “who cares if they get trashed” boots….

Hahahah my sister is just like that. She is a total UGG fan and now picked up the fad of buying those fringe boots *gulp* She keeps on asking me if they are cool or not. I think if people like the boots, they should get em. Hmmm personally I like the ones from Free People … goodluck with picking the ones you really really like !!!

I’m also skipping the fringe trend and am pining, instead, after more “practical” boots with things like shearling and knit cuffs, haha.

I’m partial to Pure Soeur / EVOL ’s line of fringe booties with their famous flat white sole.

But man, they are expensive in Japan, aren’t they?? It’s like you have either JUSCO or Minamoto haha

i like the free people one, though i know what you mean in terms of buying cheaper. i’m skipping that trend, well not exactly, i want a pair of moccasins so bad

good luck on your decision!

I think the Free People one is waaaaay cuter but so pricey! D: I try not to buy clothes online because you might not end up liking how it looks on you… but if you look good in anything then that’s different, haha. Also sizing might be different :S So that’s why I’m leaning to the Free People one~

Those boots from Salus are cuteee. I have a pair of fringe boots that I got for like $30. I love when I walk and the fringes move. At first I thought they were ugly too =P

I used crescent shop before. They’re pretty good. Shipping is crazy expensive but getting something you like a lot is worth it… well atleast to me ~

Hmmm the ones from Japan have a heel and they’re more feminine. The ones here are more… bulky. =\ Personally I’d like the more feminine ones… the American version looks too chunky and not as cute… Just my 2 cents!

OMYGOSH!!! LOLOLOL

I have just posted on my blog how I’m in love with these Minnetonka fringe ankle boots!!! I never thought i’ll go into the fringe thing either, but these boots are so cute!!!! they don’t sell them in australia so i’m snooping around the american sites, haha

they’ll go sooo well with skinny jeans, short dresses or shorts!!

Oh no… Really Jen? The fringe trend is soo terrible… D: No offense of course… I love your style but, the fringe thing is a big no… x.x;;

That trend should have stayed in the 70s… D:

Oh, I’ve been wanting to get a pair of fringe boots too. And I also don’t like how they’re so flat at the bottom as well. Hmm….I’d probably go for the ankle ones with heels because they seem more suitable for both winter & spring as you mentioned. The ones in the first scan is a good choice! =)

personally I’m more of a heels person simply because i’m tiny to start with so i need all the artificial height i can find to appear taller!! hahahaha~ that being said, i like the first pair from salus best even tho i think that the fringe seems a tad bit long…. i also like the 999yen pair - such a good deal!! hahahaha. i’m not really going for the free people one… one it’s so expensive and two they have such thin soles i have a feeling they’ll wear out fairly quickly….. oh well, hope you find a pair you like in the end~~

I’ve always liked fringe boots or moccasins. I’ve got a pair of knee-high ones!

Have you tried checking this?

Kawaii boots! I found these Jessica Simpson ones online and although they’re a bit pricey they’d be my pick in tan color, I

I think those red ones are really cute and I’d wear them if I could. Problem with fringe is, it makes me think of boho style which only looks cute (to me) during fall. And fall is darn near over so..

Uhh the Japanese fringe boots are hideous XD
The Free People ones are okay, though.
I actually hate the fringe trend. It took me years to think the moccasin- thing was “okay”, though so don’t take me too seriously- especially if you really like ‘em! Good luck deciding!

Also, I bought a Wii like a month ago and I haven’t even taken it out of the box! BOO for being BUSY. The semester ends the 18th & then you can bet I’ll be playing it constantly

I think the Salus versions are hot an always have, fugly just did not come to mind.

I don’t like shipping services, I’ve used Celga and just felt, well, to be frank, raped. You have to pay practically double the original price, seriously who’s that rich?(If I was THAT rich I could just fly straight to Japan and buy them in person!) I had a similar dilemma with these KERA boots, paid tons and still haven’t worn them!

I’d say YEAH to picking up cheaper versions, work up to it if you still want the Salus ones thta much after a month why not buy them?

I wanted a pair of those Fringe boots too. I was like you, thinking they’re really ugly then cute again.

they are expensive though but I saw some at DSW for cheaper. Maybe check that out?

lol animal crossing is love
mmm the stuff you really want are always in japan aren’t they XD its the same with some pumps i want… i can never find the perfect ones here.. but anyway i think cresent shop seems trustworthy since i’ve heard lots of good comments about them but i’ve never actually tried using them myself cuz i think it’s not really worth it if they’re gonna double how much you’re supposed to be paying

Salus and Free People offer two different choices when it comes to boots; heel or no heel. This being said, I’d go with no heel. I’d like a comfy pair to wear. Have fun choosing!
