Sukiyaki and Macro

Monday, 11月/24日 [2008年] // 31 Comments

Mike and I went out to Aji-Nippon [in Bethesda if you’d like to know] to have sukiyaki this weekend to celebrate our 8 year “dating” anniversary! It was his birthday too but whatever, hahah j/k j/k. We wanted to get sukiyaki because they first time we ever had it was with our friends in Japan on our honeymoon. It was delicious too! Too much for 2 people really, haha

Then the next day I was able to get my second choice for new camera at its Black Friday price EARLY! I’ll refrain from bitching about the ordeal that insued in GETTING the camera, but it sure does beat waiting in line for it on Black Friday!! I’m happy with it too. It’s much better than my current, but I didn’t spend an arm & leg on it. Plus i can do macro shots now YAAAAAAAY

Canon Powershot SD790 IS

Haha testing macro! Couldn’t get this shot last week when I wanted to on my old camera!

Also thanks everyone who commented on the “Short Fringe Boots” entry. I decided to pass on fringe. I figured I have mukluks and moutons so maybe I’ll let this trend go by (unless it’s big again next winter too!) Instead I bought 2 other different boots, hahah! I’ll take snaps when they arrive

That’s it~~ TV watching time

    Awsome choice.

Haha, I still need boots. xD Maybe some good Black Friday sales will let me get some. Haha.

The sukiyaki looks yummy. I had that the first night I was in Japan. Haha…

The camera seems good too. I like Macro photography. Soo cool.

i’ve always wanted to try sukiyaki, but it took me FOREVER to try sushi so it will probably take me some time to try that as well. The camera looks like it shoots well, does this mean you will post even more images now? I like photoblogs a little more because it tells the reader (or viewer) more about the blogger’s life without the blogger really having to get really personal, if that makes any sense. It shows what the blogger sees, which I find really interesting.

Mmm sukiyaki - my friend Yuriko took me out for some this summer.

She made me “breakfast rice” once too; that had eggs and bacon mixed with pepper and white rice.

I was like “I usually have Kix!”

Oh, that’s a very good shot of Egotist zipper(?) How are you liking the camera? I really want to get a new one and I need recommendations from people who actually own cameras they like! Also, I’ve never had sukiyaki before, I’ve had other Asian variations but I’d really like to try Japanese!

I want to try sukiyaki. It looks like a tasty dish! Too bad my boyfriend is extremely picky. Lol, I have to still try it though.

I leave in Montgomery County and I love the Bethesda area! Love the shops.

Canon cameras are boss. Great choice!

Food! We don’t have black friday here but I have heard serious horror stories. People getting trampled and beat up etc etc. It sounds so scary.
How is the cam going so far?

I can’t decide between getting a new camera (I really need one, mine right now is the size of a brick) or paying for my school exams. T__T

hey, i was hoping you could help me out. do you know any communities where japanese people discuss american brands/fashion? just hit me up with an e-mail and i’d really appreciate that…

Ha! I didn’t think I’d ever come across someone as excited to /finally/ be able to do macro shots like me XD I was stuck with a crappy camera that blurred like anything that wasn’t 5 feet away and I just upgraded this week and I took macro shots of everything just like you.

    Happy new camera club!
