Weekend Round-up

full readable version!!

I got a little crafty this weekend and made a few pompom hair ties after seeing this little tutorial in CUTiE I don’t have the same pom pom makers but any will do. There’s a bunch of different ways to create pom poms

I made 4 pom pom hair ties in all

I attempted the crochet シュシュ but I didn’t have any bulky enough yarn. I have a few crochet hooks but I just went ahead and did the crochet using my fingers (what how!?)

Pretty much FAIL

I also did some light shopping. Laila Rowe basically had 75% off EVERYTHING so I picked up a few! I LOVE the bracelets! One has gold lines throughout while the other has “Take Chances. Find Your Passion!” written on it. The over-sized heart necklace is a great basic too! They also had some boots including fringe boots 75% and really worth it! I didn’t buy any because it was warm and my mind is set on SPRING BOOTS ONLY now. Also got some Victoria’s Secret Body Mist 75% off. Mmm coconut sugar scent!

Weekend Outfits

I had a really great Saturday but Sunday I just didn’t feel like myself~ same for this morning. I was being really … well, emo and difficult. Thinking “Oh woe is me” and all that crap. Then at work someone sweetly surprised me with a “thank you” gift full of chocolates and garden things and a little cute card. I was just stunned. A THANK YOU?!?!? But I was just doing my job!! It’s nothing special really, “you didn’t have to!” I said it and I still think it. I mean, how considerate is this person?! And here I was being a selfish little down-in-the-dumps jerk all weekend. I was greeted with smiles from familar faces all morning so I decided to change my attitude right then & there! Really… sometimes you just need a kick in the face to straighten you up and make you stop being so selfish, ya know? THANK YOU UNIVERSE.

Well, first off, it’s OK to feel “down-in-the-dumps”. IT’S NOT SELFISH AT ALL! It’s what makes us human. We can’t be happy 24/7. I’m glad someone was considerate enough to show their gratitude for your help. Everyone deserves a thank you

Awh! Those pom pom’s are too cute!!!

And yeah, I know how you feel! Sometimes I go around being selfish and moping around about something not even important, and then something comes up which makes me turn my attitude around. TY UNIVERSE AS WELL

I used to make pom poms in primary school! We did it out of these cardboard rings, ahhhh! So fun! Life was waaaay simpler back then The HUGGGGGE necklace is way cute! Oversized things are always the best ♥

Surprises are so great especially if you’re feeling down! Some people are just so nice!

I love the sweater one-piece! It’s fantastic.

Nice to know you’re feeling a bit better. It usually is just one’s attitude anyhow. Guess karma came back to you or something on this one. :O I want someone to give me a thank you card for something… that’d be nice right about now, haha.

Hi! It’s also my first comment, but I’ve been reading your blog for sooo many years! I think before 9/11! You still had everything separated, I started with your knit blog

Anyway , the Christmas before last I bought those Clover ponpon makers (in 4 sizes) and they are really worth the buy. I’ve never made such beautiful ponpons and it’s much easier and quicker!

You haven’t been very crafty lately, so its nice to have you post some of your stuff here again!

A few months ago on UK TV this show called ‘Frock Me’ showed pom poms and how easy and ‘on trend’ they were to make (credit crunch tv ね!). I just find it funny how FOR ONCE Japan wasn’t ahead on that. BUT UNFORTUNATELY the UK ones looked so dull in comparison to yours! (and CUTiE’s XD)
I don’t know why but since I can remember I’ve always had a complex about certain woolly things, especially pom poms, I avoid them like… bees… bees! Maybe it’s because of fearing them?!

ughhh dentist

04/09 | 10:50 am

I have to take an hour off work to go BACK to the dentist. I really dread it. I just want to switch dentists but the work they did needs to be fixed first. I really hate them. They even try to tell me the tooth I say hurting should be a different tooth... wtf??! And I've had 3 bite readjustments already and I think I have to get another today b/c they suck at doing it! UGH. Did I even need a crown!? geezus *cries*
I'm trying to not get overtly upset over it all but I have tooth pain daily. I just want to be able to eat properly again.

(comment?)

Waiting~
