I’m healing nicely (20)

I had a quick 8:00 am check up for my wisdom teeth. My doctor is happy and said every thing’s healing wonderfully. It was kind of sad leaving… because I know I won’t see her ever again (unless I have horrific mouth trauma that requires an oral surgeon!)

The past 2 weeks of “recovery” has made it hard for me to stay positive. I just can’t shake feeling low or upset. It’s about nothing in particular, yet about everything. I’m just trying to wait it out… but it sucks when I have to STOP myself from starting a fight with Mike JUST because I want a fight. I was pretty positive for the first week, but now… ah well

Hooray! I’m missing jaw bone… :[ (36)

So it’s 4 days later. There were no real complications with the surgery itself. However, 1 wisdom tooth was more impacted than the x-ray had shown. They ended up having to removing a lot of jaw bone. The only real side-effect of that is the extremely excruciating pain it has put me in…

Also, Vicodin sucks! Big balls!! I threw it up immediately. Which was “fun“… throwing up blood… yea, that was a fun new experience. Especially in the car ride home. And then twice more after I got home. Thankfully my doctor called to check up on me and said I could try 800mg of Motrin instead and only take the Vicodin if I’m in unbearable pain. Well, no matter the pain I never took it again. The Motrin works OK. Not great… I was/am in constant pain. But it’s getting better each day.

I still can’t close my mouth all the way (I’m unable to chew anything still!) My mouth is still swollen. Basically because of the whole bone thing I’m having to take longer to recover.

I am going to try to go to work tomorrow.

WAIIIIIIIIIIIIII my freakin’ mouth is killing me and I can’t stand it!!! It hurts to laugh, it hurts to eat, it hurts to talk, it hurts to sleep! GRRRRRRR HOW MANY MORE DAYS TILL I FEEL BETTER!? 7!? 10!? Two weeks!?

Good-bye tooth-kun’s~ (33)

Tomorrow morning I’ll be getting my 4 wisdom teeth extracted. Cut out to be more precise. I’m not too nervous about the surgery since I’m trying not to think about it. I’ll be good to go once I get the IV placed and over with. I’ll be completely under for the rest. Hopefully there will be no complications and I can handle the vicodin (yea I’ll be cool like House for 4 days,) they prescribed me. The crappy thing though is that I’m in the middle of pms’ing and cramping now too!

It figures!

I’m trying to drink a ton of water today so my veins show better tomorrow (at my doctor’s request.) Anyway… Mike’s taking Thursday & Friday off with me so I’ll have 24 hour care through Sunday .
