Thinking About Boots for Dresses
Sunday, August 17th, 2008 | 24 Comments
I’ve been buying a surprising number of dresses lately. I bought this really cute folk-style dress Thursday night & then bought a fantastic crushed corduroy and lace dress from Free People Saturday.

FYI their bags are so lovely. Soft linen shopping bags.
All my recent dress purchases look great with boots and this autumn I plan to buy another pair. I want something funky and cute. I already have 2 pairs of knee-high ones. One dressy, one more casual and sleek. I also have a pair of sort of sporty furry black ones. Alot of magazines are already showcasing boot season! Here’s a few from Vivi’s September boot insert…

my favorites from Snidel

NUOVO

The blue ones are from シャルマン
I can’t believe it’s already mid-August. I got to lay out today
. Probably one of the few remaining times I’ll get to do it this summer before retiring my sunbathing chair for the winter :cloudedmind:. At least I made it count! I got a little extra sun today from it! This can sometimes be your best friend

Aloeeeeeee
Helped lock in moisture and tomorrow the slight red will be gone leaving a slightly darker complexion. YAY!
OH, Let me just say the highlight of my weekend was the ultra kind service at Free People!
All week I’ve been treated like shit at other stores & it was really refreshing to actually be treated like a human being for once.

dont you just hate it when people treat you like shiet? -_-; sometimes, i get really frustrated at customers at the coffee shop but that’s because they are acting really stupid and retarded .. if they are nice people, i will treat them with respect ;3
jenny! Those brown boots are so darling!! [the ones with the ball tassels] !! I’ve been meaning to go find some like that after viewing Tsubasa Masuwaka’s winter style…
so kawaii. Let’s cross our fingers and hope that Urban Outfitters carries some like that soon
And I heart Free People!! Such delicate clothing made with love and bohemian rhapsodies
FREE people is a store that rinka likes right
that’s cool that they have a location near you
i wish icould have enoug hcourage to buy dresses lol..
are those called eskimo boots by any chance…
they always remind me of that ahahahaha
uu the free people bag is cute! i wish they did that here… we still got plastic bags -_-” show me your folk style dress!!
i love that style~
That’s a cute dress. ;D The more boots the better! Some of those boots look really wild
It’s soon gonna be 2009 =( the years are flying by.
the dress is so pretty! at least you have a tan.. my skin is a scary ghostly white!
The bag looks really pretty. But if it were me, I’d be so afraid to rip the bag with some of my stuff in there. x__x I really like the boots that she’s wearing in the first picture. But not in a million years would I be able to pull it off. (Plus I’m too short. So I’ll look like a stout-y penguin with those on) Sigh. Life isn’t fair.
The dress is gorgeous. I love the combination of dresses and boots. No one here wears boots though because we live in the Caribbean. I love the brown boots in the third photo. ^-^
the weather here is waaaay too hot for those furry boots ;___;
If there’s one type of footwear I luv it’s boots. Those brown boots next to the blue ones though…..kinda mountain bear lookish.
I love that first set of boots! I want some suede ankle boots with a fold-over ankle (that’s a horrible description, haha). The kind that are lined with shearling? I think they’re really cute for some reason.
I love wearing furry boots in the winter. Nice and snugly
Here it rains a lot here and I hate it when my feet get wet so I usually wear thicker ones.
the bag is so pretty *O*
It’s always nice to be treated well by strangers.
oOOH boots. Thanks for reminding me about boots and how I seriously need some this year.
Oh, it is cool how they do bags like that…
Uh-oh! Ugg boots and moccasins… O.O
But I do wanna get some of those boots that look scrunchy. Haha I love it.
Freeee people. That’s such a great name for a store. I like the black boots in the first picture omg. I have to stay away from furry shoes personally. I’m hairy as it is and I have large feet- so people would be like AAAAAH BIGFOOT!
There’s something wrong here in the states if we can’t buy cute boots like those!!
Oh, I finally saved up my money and got myself some moccasin boots which i’ve been wanting for…2 years? A little before they started showing up in all the Japanese magazines and selling like hotcakes, if you can compare hotcakes to shoes.
I really want to get a pair of leather boots…the long ones that almost reach your knees….I couldn’t find a pair last year….more luck this fall I hope!!
wow…their bags are so cute….and pretty~ I have never heard of Free People before…they have some really nice clothes~
I have a pair of calf-length boots, which I adore. They’re getting kinda scruffy now but they’re just so cute. Good luck finding a new pair. Make sure you post pictures
wow, the soft linen bag is reaaally pretty! i just sent my friend in aussie a big parcel of random eco bags from singapore but they’re no where close to this.
AHHH~ Why’s everything so cute? I’m really tempted to buy dresses, too… but eeek… I rarely if ever…. wait, I like never wear them so it’d be a little shocking. hah.
You make everything look super cute!!
Ooh! The bag is adorable! DRESSES. I still haven’t gotten past “shirt-dresses” yet ;A; REH furray bootz….I can’t go there. I’m not sure why but furry boots and moccasins kinda weird me out.
it’s my dream to buy most of my clothes from free people. they’re super nice (at the tyson’s corner one, at least) and their clothes are sooo nice!
i need some more boots and dresses myself. i started buying some last fall and i’m REALLY looking forward to this one!
