Basically I’m Sunburned

Friday, July 24th, 2009 | 41 Comments

It’s 9:30 & my family is already settled down for bed, lol. So I’m bored. I went swimming today and accidently fell asleep in the sun ;_; but it seems the only part that burned were my shoulders thankfully!

aloe is such a life saver!

so much suuuun!
And green!

so many pretty flowers blooming right now! Big too & vibrant

I went & got some snacks tonight. My family rarely has snack foods . I love these chips! Their flavors are so fun and local ! I can’t find ‘em in DC :(

Spicy Cajun Crawtators flavor!

Voodoo Gumbo flavor!
I bought these! They don’t taste like gumbo though. More like bbq + spicy + dill chips lol
but good still!

I have this huge zit on my face! Raawr! I couldn’t bring all my acne stuff on the plane (since I only brought carry on.) So my face is angry at me . Plus it’s so humid here my skin’s confused.

Well I’ve been zoning in & out watching Everybody Loves Raymond so I’m gonna go!

Oh that relief stuff is nice. But it makes me feel icky. x.x

Lovely flowers!

Tell me about it, my face like always feels soo oily. I’ve lived in Florida and the humidity my whole life! But it still hates me…

Those Gumbo chips sound super yummy!

I wish it were humid here…it’s just rain nonstop this summer, sadly.

Your pool looks beautiful! In China the public pools are so crowded that you can hardly move :O So jealous

Ah I can’t wait to go swimming! I haven’t done that all summer long!

Looking at those flowers makes me want to go home and tend to my nonexistent garden. I want beautiful flowers in my backyard too!

Such beautiful flowers I’m bad with plant names, but I think we have the same kind. Well…a pot of them anyway Those chips are very interesting. Never tried gumbo flavored chips before, but I’m guessing they must be packed w/ flavor.

Ah, it’s always nice to get the local flavors of a place. Even if it’s just chips! hahaha

When I went on a two week vacation using only a carry-on, I got a bunch of empty hotel/shampoo bottles and filled them with my acne needs!

It’s amazing how your skin adapts to different places though because you used to live in the South!

HAha YES “Crawtators” is a fantastic word just on it’s own.

I’m so used to lobster-flavors and old time-y beer of New England, I’ve never even had gumbo!
Must remedy that.

Have lots of fun

Ahhh make sure you use lots of moisturizer so you don’t peel Jenny! Being sunburned is the worst! I’ve only been sunburned once … I think I have melanin of steel LOL I only seem to tan.

So jealous of your hot weather! I have the heater on almost every day here!

jenny said
July 26, 2009 @ 9:08 am

Can I have your melanin please!? Haahaa. I used to just tan & never burn but after living in DC for the past 4yrs my skin has little tolerance. Though it doesn’t look like it’ll peel. It doesn’t even hurt & is nearly faded thankfully!

I LOVE Zapps chips, If you have a wegman’s supermarket in DC you can find the basic flavors (onion, plain), in the deli section. I miss the local flavors though like dill, and aligator. I get those when I visit New Orleans.

waah, I wish my familiy had a pool, too!!! I love swimming but I hate the crowded places of the public swimming pools~
Ah, sun burns are annoying~ I usually never get one because I ususally put UV50 on my face and everywhere else. but. when I was little I used to have sun burn in my face. It was kinda red the the skin pelt off but it didn’t hur

Oh yes, my family has no snacks at home, too. It’s always me who go out to buy - pudding and stuff…
