How was everyone’s Thanksgiving!? Mine was, well… a blur now that I think back on it! Black Friday insomnia has wiped most of my memory, hahahaa :x
OK, so this is gonna be a l o n g one! (that’s what she said, lulz)
Black Friday Gets!
Went and snagged a free copy of Lego Rock Band at Old Navy at 2am in the freezing rain plus some clothes. These are most my gets. Mike is the real winner on Black Friday with the electronics & all~ I feel Black Friday is really sorta a “guys day.”
I did get a couple of things I wanted at good prices though!
It also reminded me a little bit of this Gilfy knit hat
(the cream one.)
LOVE the new lip color I got at Victoria’s Secret too! I’m switching from the nude beige of summer into a hotter pink for this winter. I want some pop of color in my life! It’s called “Muse” if you’re interested in checking it out.
I’m also really excited about the polka dot leggings I got from American Apparel. At first I was bummed out because they were 27$ But then they had pattern leggings 25% off plus an additional 20% off polka dots! So I got them!!
Then tonight I came across this clipping of Tsubasa and lol’d I just got in my belted boots from Yesstyle Wednesday! Perfect match right?! LOL. I need to add this look to my book since I have all these key pieces to recreate the look even a red cardigan
Hair Talk!
OK, I got 2 new styling tools this week.
One was the above 3/4″ curling iron. I needed something smaller to get tighter curls. They’re used in styles like these below.
The other was an early Christmas gift from Mike! I saw the waver in Popteen this month and I had always contemplated getting one but never saw how good it looked till now. I was always paranoid it would give too permed of a look. But when I saw the jumbo S-Waver I really wanted to try it out! So I put it on my Christmas list! Well, Mike got it for such a good deal (Early Black Friday deal + coupon = $11 jumbo waver!) he gave it to me early~
You can still get this look without the waver. A few years ago I LOVED doing this look with a jumbo curling iron but it took so long that I could only do it on the weekends! This jumbo waver took me, max, 5 minutes! Mike really likes the look too, He doesn’t seem to remember when I used to do it the difficult way, LOL.
Here’s the original way I did waves. It was from Non-no in the infamous “Rinka Hair” section they had!

anyway, reading popteen, lately ive been wondering about a waver too ~ after reading your entry i think ive decided 8D loll your waves came out so nicely ~! its definitely going on my wishlist ! x3 heheh and i also have 3 curlers in different sizes, only i bought the conair gold colored barrel ones (forgot the name!)
as for lipstick, ive always wanted to try a sparkly pink color, but i never knew which colors would give me the color im looking for =T plus my mom and my friend keeps telling me that lipstick is bad for my lips, like it’d make my natural lip pigmenting fade or something ? hahah im still debating whether i should try out lipstick ! =/ maybe i should wait until im older ? xD lol

yum! pie is one of my most favorite things about this time of year.
That lip color is pretty! I wish I could pull it off. I don’t fray away from nudes and pinks close to my own lip color. I’m never satisfied with the result otherwise.
Your hair looks SO cute with the wave! It goes really well with your hair length!!! (+ I love your lashes in those pictures!)

The S Waver looks really awesome! Do you use any specific product to help the waves stay in? Humidity is a real issue where I am and so I’m always looking for good product to try and help my curl stay in.

Great purchases! I also want to find a pair of polka dots tights/legging too but they seem so hard to find.
I only have a 1 and 1′2 inch curling iron, and I’ve been thinking of getting some bigger ones too for the bigger curl look. However, I’m kind of holding that off right now and maybe getting it later in the summer or something. =)

VS lipsticks are so nice, right? I was surprised how good the lippy was when I tried on my first VS lip and it was LOVE! I’m actually going to buy from VS now unless I find a great color somewhere else. :3

aww, I have a similar pair of those motorcycle boots. They go with everything.. I couldn’t stop wearing them everyday, hehe. I love the hot pink lipstick idea for winter ^^ Weirdly, I still have that non-no issue (: I would have to try that wavy look again ;D

is that S-waver sold in any store like target or walmart? or is it in some specialty store?
I have a medium-ish size curling iron, but my hair is so layered, my curls come out weird when i do it, but for some reason when my friend does it for me, it comes out amazing.
hopefull the s-waver can at least give me some good waves despite my uber layered hair haha. -

Have you thought of doing a digital perm? You can choose how big and tight the curls you want are. I did mine about 2 months ago and it’s GREAT. Now I don’t need to curl my hair ever. I just get out of the shower, scrunch a little, and I get big, soft, loose waves magically. It’s kinda expensive (about $160 for my shoulder-length hair) but lasts as long as you don’t cut your hair and it definitely cuts down on time spent on hair.

I’ve never been much into lip color makes (gloss or lipstick) but that shade is precious! Plus I know what you mean, everything is so dull and drab in winter, you really want some color on your face. :)

I really gotta get myself a waver…. I usually do that style without heat by putting my hair into 2 sections large in the back of the head smaller for the bangs then twist the hair tightly in a bun … in the morning it looks nice and wavy but I end up having to touch up the bangs because they are at a weird length, a waver would make that so much easier.

victoria’s secret always has the best shades of lipstick and gloss, but they’re a bit over priced for me. Looks fantastic on you though…same with all the tops you bought. You’re like a layering genius!

I think I probably said this last year but I’ll always be jealous of your Black Friday sales, your snow, H&M blahblahblah. I am so fed up, I’m packing my bags and moving to your neck of the woods! I love everything you bought but especially the waver! I do waves using a straightener but I find it so tedious and I have so much hair so it takes ages. And your boots! I am also jealous of your boots collection. Let’s swap materialistic lives, hahaha!

i’ve got those biker type boots too. got mine at Charlotte Russe (?) and the Conair curling iron lol! i use mine to straighten my hair though. does a better job than my flat iron!! ;D
