Sunny Weekend

Sunday, March 21st, 2010 | 62 Comments

I saw that the super W♥C girl from the wig video was in Popteen’s April Snap Bomber !! I love her, I dunno, her look is so unique with her super nude Chinatsu inspired make she just captivates me 山中千明?? I tried to find if she had a blog but no luck

I had a great weekend thanks to GLORIOUS weather! :ladeeda: 73F!! Went in and around Chinatown Saturday. Bought a few gifts (tee-hee April birthdays) and basically just walked around looking for a new place to eat. Came across some ignorant protesters, attempted to hug some squirrels, yelled at people on the metro, had my Smartrip card fuck up on me and trap me in the metro station for FAR too long, and blah blah blah~

Then today I ate this ———-

It’s as heartburn inducing as it looks!
Stomach bomb!!!
It’s 2 chili & cheese smothered corn dogs.
Hahahahaaaa!
And they were DELICIOUS!!

I also took about 5 trips to Starbucks this weekend, WTF~
New record for me

Went to see if the downtown DC H&M had The Garden Collection in. They only had like 3 pieces and none of them were the ones I wanted. Siiiiiiiigh. :F Gotta keep looking! I did find some cotton pants I’ve been wanting since last year!!! Actually, I used to have some like this from Gap but I shrank them like 5 years ago and donated them

Of course the WC brand version is mucho cuter!!!!!!!!

I also finally broke down and bought the small bottle of that Living Proof Full Thickening Cream.

I wanted this stuff badly when Sephora was emailing the crap outta me about it since my Sephora profile says I have “thin, fine hair.” Hahahaa! But then when I went to the store and saw how f*ckin tiny the $14 bottle was I was very “Oh hells no!” But… Mike bought cologne this weekend and I gave in…

My thoughts on it~
Thankfully the amount needed is small, so the tiny bottle might actually last a little while. :good: You just apply a little to towel dry hair right past the roots & throughout. Then blow dry. For my thin, fine hair what I noticed was it kept that “just after blow drying” body all day! It’s NOT a miracle cream, sadly, that thickens your hair beyond imaginable. But I could feel the added body in my hair and it lasted all day even after a nap.

Like I said, it kept the just blow dried bounce all day! Usually my hair falls flat an hour after blow drying. However, I can’t get 100% on board with it because of the cost. I think it should be just $5 cheaper. I know, it’s brand name but still… this sh*t ain’t working miracles.

I didn’t take any purposeful before & after pics but I did have these from outfit snaps. I actually styled my hair in a similar way (curled under) but you can tell the “after” using the thickening cream is fuller.

I think I used a 1.5″ iron on Saturday though and a 1″ on Sunday. So that adds a little extra body to the bottom on Sunday. Time will tell if I fall in love with this stuff. The real test will be if I repurchase more once I run out!

This entry is a bit all over the place. I’ve been typing it up while running back & forth to the TV to watch the Health Care Bill pass with Mike.

I need to go to bed, damn! I thought it was only 10pm because my stupid PC keeps changing back to pre-DST!! I’ve had to change it like 5 times already! UGGGGGGGH!

OK, niiiiiiiight! Good Bye gorgeous weekend! Supposed to be 10 degrees colder tomorrow with rain :F

I’ve been to two H&M stores and they both didn’t really have any of the Garden Collection pieces I wanted either except for this one shirt! Maybe they’ll slowly reveal more and more though, hopefully…

I totally want to buy that cream now. Keeping the blow dry bounce is good enough for me! And I love it when you post pictures of food. Those chili corn dogs look soooo amazing.

You look so darling in those pictures!

Yeah, you can’t hug squirrels - they get all cute and flirty with you then run away all coy *shakes fist*

Way to go on the corndogs - that is quite an accomplishment, haha

Oh yeah, that girl is really cute! I hope she shows up more in magazines^^

I would eat those corn dogs…

and I would totally wear those W*C pants, if they wouldn’t be 7 sizes too small and 5 sizes too short haha!

You look really cute as always. I can see the difference between the before and after photos, it’s too bad they charge so much for that hair cream. I have fine hair so it doesn’t hold shape, so I understand how you feel ^^

AMG those corn dogs look delish,
Hm i don’t see much difference in the two pictures between the hair, but i’m really blind when it comes to noting small changes. :/
Anyhow, as long as that cream works for you that’s great, cause you really paid quite a bit for a tiny bottle like that.
Glad you had a good weekend

Yea I probably won’t be re-buying it because of the price and size.

I’m always at awe when you eat heartburn inducing foods w/o a care because they are too delicious to resist. I say this because I get heartburn very easily, so I avoid any food that might give me heartburn even if I love to eat them. LOL. I wish I had your stomach.

what a coincidence that she popped up in Popteen as well as the wig video. Actually, i’ve introduced the idea of wigs to my sisters after I saw your entry on wigs. she went nuts and bought a crap load of synthetic wig..but she wants real hair wig.

anywho, indeed, her look is quite unique!

I usually go like twice a day on the weekends too so no worries!
You’ve been finding some awesome pieces at H&M lately too~ makes me wish I had one closer to me again! ;(
Thanks for the review on the Full Thickening Cream too~ I’ve been curious about that product since I first read about it in some Western magazine (maybe NYLON? can’t remember ) Do you think it’s worth it though if you can only feel a slight difference in your hair texture? ;(

jenny said
March 23, 2010 @ 6:41 pm

Ya know Sephora’s really pushing this product & hair cream is super easy to package into a free sample. I wouldn’t be surprised if they do samples of this eventually ! I don’t think it’s worth the $14 for the small amount you get :(

I purchased the Living Proof straightening cream and it was a disappointment. I have such thick hair that I couldn’t just use a tiny amount! It felt like to make the cream work took about the same amount of work as using a straightener. T__T;;

I loved your little review. I find most brand names are just that bit too expensive for what they’re actually delivering on quality.
