PopSister’s Wanna Be a Rinka!
Wednesday October 27, 2010
It caaaaaaame~~~!! The December issue of PopSister with Rinka on the cover! :excitedyo:

Basically it’s just the cover spread with a bunch of Q&A then no more Rinka but instead a section called…

Baggy Casual Style

Keyword: Converse Sneakers :)

Vintage Girly

Keyword: Vintage Bag

Celeb Casual

As much as I love the hair and make I don’t think the eyes are right for “Rinka’s Style.” Too heavy on the bottom for Rinka’s usual looks. :?: Really, it just looks more like Kana’s typical eyemake style but whatever~ laaaaa
BUT Seriously, NOT ENOUGH RINKA! To be honest most of Rinka’s magazine appearances are like this these days. :( It’s like she’s too busy to really do a ton of full spreads/features for various magazines. :;_;: Have you SEEN her blog!? She’s got a crap ton of magazine covers every month! :skull: I did like the “Wanna be a Rinka” section though. They did a pretty good job on recreating Rinka’s typical fashion styles seen on her blog
This issue of PopSister seems sorta thin. Hummmm, :;_;: it reminds me a little of the first issue that came out? It’s not very STRONG but I digress. I’m gonna post some totally biased looks from it now :cfaha2:

トラッドスタイル (Trad Style) and おじ可愛MIX (Cute Uncle Mix style, lol, I’m not sure, this buzz word is new to me!) When I researched it I found cute aunt and cute uncle style, LOL SEEMS TO MATCH THE LOOK!ね~~ I just like the boots because they look like mine ;)

THIS LOOK! I just Looooove the fact that this look has MURUA jeans mixed with a check poncho from BACKS paired with moccasins from RODEO CROWNS! And the knit scarf is from WEGO! Brand win, BRAND MIX WINNNNNNNN!

Nordic style then Military style :P

Mmmmmmm I scanned in some hair arranges and street snaps too but I’m getting kinda sleepy so I’ll post those later this week!!! :) :facecry: I’m going to go take a hot bath now. :facepalmcry::starburst: I’m feeling really heavy because I’ve eaten countless candy bars today from our Halloween stash AND had pizza for dinner. I did a little “Just Dance” but it kicked my ass pretty quickly so I couldn’t last very long =_=;;; :orooro:
Oh yeah and before I forget!
I GUESS TOMOKO WAS PREGNANT WHEN SHE GOT MARRIED!
This photoshoot made me lol uncontrollably.

All I have to say is… um, no. Just no. Maybe they mentioned she was preggers in the article about her wedding back in October but I didn’t really bother translating it. I only read the comments the other models made about how lovely the wedding was & everything. I get that they are “celebrating” her but this is a bit much for me hahahaaa! I actually didn’t notice at first, I was too busy noticing the half nakedness, LOL, then I was like WAIT, IS THIS A WEIRD ANGLE OR…
LOL, but to be fair it’s nice to see these models have real lives. I always felt Tsubasa’s wife’ness & mother’ness is sorta covered up in some magazines, (cept in gal mama mags obviously) like, not talked about. But PopSister obviously wants to focus on older girls who have busy lives. Husbands n babies, LOL :blushingcute:
And on that note~ I’m gone!!

Tearful Circle Lenses From Yesstyle
Monday October 25, 2010
New contacts!
Tearful Circle Grey Lenses!
It’s been a few months since I’ve had a “new” pair but it feels great!
I got these from Yesstyle.com. They’re this pair to be exact.
They started selling lenses a few months. They’re set up so that you add to your cart 1 lens at a time. So if you’re like me and have a different prescription in each eye you can easily order a pair to match that. These actually are available up to strength -9.50!

I got these grey GEO lenses (also known as GEO CM-839) because I wanted something more natural looking but still adding an extra “pop” to my eye color. These have a more subtle enlarging effect but it’s still there. [example shot of that!] It’s soften with the outer circle color of gray (grey.) It’s also dot printed that let’s some of your own natural color come through. Because the enlarging effect is softened, I feel these lenses really can be worn with less heavy eye makeup looks. With my larger lenses I always wear heavy eye makeup including fake lashes or else I think the lenses look too big & stand out too much.
I was actually wearing them in this photo I posted a few days ago.

The teardrop effects along the side aren’t as obvious so no worries of people staring wondering what the specs are! They really do play off as a sorta glossy look especially in a natural light setting.
However, my favorite thing about these Tearful Circle Lenses? COMFORT! These are, not only the most comfortable GEOS I have, but the most comfortable colored lenses I own! Even more comfortable than my favorite pair of Barbie brand lenses! I think it must be due to the fact it’s not a fully printed colored lenses. The majority of the lens is clear like a daily wear lens.

Yesstyle added a few free samples too including a BB Cream free sample which I’m excited to try! It’s MISSHA brand BB Cream (the current brand I’m using) but a different series! A contact case is also included.

I actually wore these to work last Friday, all day. Just a few eye-drops during the day and I was good to go! It’s great to have a pair of lenses now I can mix into my “office hours” when I get bored of wearing just my clear daily contact lenses.

Another shot of them in that’s brighter so you can get a better idea of the blending on green/hazel eyes. For a shot of the enlarging effect (1 lens in 1 lens out, click here!) I’ll be wearing these a lot!
I’m glad I got gray. It ended up blending better than I had imagined. The outer rim of my iris is already a sort of bluish gray so I’m quite pleased! I wouldn’t mind getting the light brown versions of these from Yesstyle.com either. Since I have some other brown lenses that mix pretty well with my greenish brown gray eyes (oh the mixture!) I think these would look just great too~
