More Orange Makeup

Friday April 01, 2011

Another orange related makeup I’m looking forward to using this spring/summer is Dolly Wink’s (03) Country Retro eyeshadow palette featuring vivid blue and orange shades! :deco14: I ordered this off Yesstyle some time ago but am waiting to open it for a bit longer. Maybe on the first actually WARM/HOT day. :sunny: I wanted it because I thought it would compliment a light orange blush really well. I’m sure orange lips wouldn’t go with this though, haahaa (too much color!,) gonna go with nude lips when wearing this instead. :deco8:

I didn’t realize that the packaging with this was a fold out how-to and more~~~
Pleasant surprise XD

オススメ~~~~~~~~~
AND of coooooourse it’s highly recommended you use Dolly Wink’s Gold cream shadow with this rawrawrawr loooool~~ :deco6:

  2. mishi says:

It’s a really cute look! hehe, I agree! def not something to wear with bright lipstick.

  3. Mel says:

Whee! Orange is everywhere now! ♥♥♥
As per usual, Dolly Wink packaging is too adorable, haha!
So far I’ve tried their liquid eyeliner and it’s one of the best! :) I’m thinking of purchasing more of their products soon~ ^_^

Yea the products are pretty high quality for what’s essential a drug store brand, I haven’t been too disappointed with anything I’ve tried. Even the nail polish is pretty good!

  4. Shmuberry says:

I’m not a big fan of eyeshadows… yet I want to get every single one of these palettes XD

    It’s the packaging I think

    • jenny says:

Probably, it’s Anna Sui meets… I dunno, more girly, LOL! Also it’s a nice combo of colors in each palette with instructions detailing an instant good look! Hard to resist~~

  5. lissy says:

wow the colour is amazing! and the packaging is surely something not to miss :D

  6. Steph says:

!!! at first i thought it was a magazine when I just looked at the photos XDDDDDD
    Smart packaging!

  7. O___O I really like the packaging. I wonder if blue is a good color on me. It’s normally a hit or miss for me T_T

    • jenny says:

I feel the same, but used just as an accent color blue sometimes turns out OK on me. My Shu Uemura palette has a blue I’ve played with lately.

  8. Tori says:

Hahaha, I think a nude lip would be the best choice too! xP
I swear though, I’d buy this just for the packaging alone~ presentation is everythinggg! ;D

    • jenny says:

It’s seriously a key factor in this entire line!! I like that they’re all separated by “looks” too not just like OH HERE’S THE BLUE TONES, HERE’S PINKS like a lot of other brands do.

  9. priincess says:

This is on the top of my list of makeup to pick up when I’m in Hong Kong! I can’t wait to get my hands on her eyeshadows! :)

  10. Very cute! It’s so expensive to buy it online so I’m a bit hesitant about trying it out but it does look great! and the booklet along with it looks very helpful too! ^^ I don’t think I’d wear those colors but I definitely would wear the Gold cream shadow! I might just buy it to try it out~

  11. i would like to try orange too when i moved. :)

    xoxo

  12. Huynh says:

The packaging is cute and it’s that they also give instructions. I want to try out orange makeup but I’m afraid it’ll look clowny(?) on me.

  13. Sara Mari says:

That is such a bold and unique color combination! I want to try some Dolly wink eyeshadow in the future. I hope you will review this^^

    • jenny says:

      I shall! This will be fun to photo snap because it’s SO bold while natural browns and pinks are hard to capture in a snap ;_;

  14. Nami says:

    Ahh that’s so pretty!
Oh I haven’t been commenting on your blog at all. I’m so busy lately. alfjsa;jfdklsghsfl Dx
I wish these kind of colours would go with my skin colour. Alas, alas..

  15. Courtney says:

This will definitely make for a nice and bold summer look~
I’m curious what kind of outfit it would go with though. I’m sure you’ll show us snaps when you decide to try it out! :)

    • jenny says:

I think that’s why the fold out was included, showing off a bit of what Tsubasa suggest the look’s made for, like boho, country, outfits. But using the colors separately could go with any look really so it’s quite a versatile palette!

  16. Miamy says:

I just saw this in one of the SASA outlets in my place! The packaging and the colors are so cute I almost bought it! I’ve always wanted to brave myself to try out these bright colors but never succeeded. Can’t wait to see you wearing it! :)

  17. Orange is such a cool color. If only I could rock it!

I think it would look gorgeous against your complexion. :D

  18. Hannah says:

Yesstyle doesn’t stock the eyeshadow anymore. T.T

I guess I will wait till my mascara to come to see what the whole excitement about the product is.

  19. JL says:

For the life of me I don’t know how to put makeup on, hahahha. I could never do it XD

  20. Tilleul says:

Where where where can I find a long dress like the one on this package and like the so pretty white ones sprinkled throughout your tumblr? All the ones I’ve found so far are so skimpy on top. I think I’ll try a trip back to the seventies via the vintage store tomorrow.

  21. mao says:

wow~ so pretty!! never knew that those blue and orange shade look good!!!

  22. Ys says:

Ooh orange eye-shadow! I don’t think I’ve ever used orange before. Does it look good?

  23. ada says:

I tried MONOTONE MODE, it’s perfect how the eyes look so brightly and better with 3 colors not only 1. And the packages (again) so inspirational :D
