Madewell Spring & Catbird Rings

Saturday January 14, 2012

I had mentioned both of these on twitter but I can’t get them out of my head.

First, Lucky Magazine released the Madewell Spring 2012 Lookbook images. Some of these items are already in stores now! I love the new collection and much of it feels reminiscent of Kastane’s autumn items which I love. It’s got me really excited to think about warmer weather. Here are my 8 favoriye looks. You can see all 30+ looks at Lucky.

My other current obsession are rings from Catbird. I love them! :deco2: I love simple classic items but with creative or quirky twists. It reminds me I need to get my ring sizes again. I only know my ring fingers size :P

My absolute favorites are the stack-able rings. I’ve been in love with Tiffany’s Sugar Stacks though the prices are … well let’s just say it’s a luxury for when I’m a little older since I’d want to buy a few to stack! Many of Catbird’s stack rings are reasonably affordable and delicately lovely with lots of styling options.

Love to get lost in inspiration~~ ^_^

Those stacking rings!! I didn’t even know those were a “thing”…but I LOVE the idea. Just like the mix-match earrings, these are so cute/quirky yet subtle enough to go with everything~

Also, rings/jewelry that looks “organic” ftw!! Those last few you posted are amazing *A*

I love the momento mori rings, but I’m a little goth like that.

  7. Mary says:

I wish I was a ring-wearing girl. They always get in the way, but I might just be converted by those CUTE CUTE CUTE rings

Jen! I see u r in DC? We are neighbors! I loove your blog. I just irdered a ton of bath salts. Maybe we could meet and you can show me where some good japanese shops are in the area?

    • jenny says:

Helllllllllllllllo! Nice to meet you too ;)

Which salts did you get? First time? :) There are a few places in the DC Metro area to buy Japanese bath salts as well.

      • Belle says:

hmmmm I got the Ishizawa Labs boiling hot bath salt, the collagen bath powder, the hanjun bath powder which I believe from what I read from the Kanji that it’s the minerals and herbs from Korean sauna, and the Viva Body Fat Burning salts, two types of those…..
I also have the Bison Bakkantou salts that I’m going to use right now after a hard day of cleaning!!

maybe you could send me an email and name the shops so I can visit?

  10. ooowh, can’t wait for spring so I can wear less clothes again, right now I have to layer and layer + a big buffly jacket or I’ll freeze to death in my part of the world lol.
Love those rings, I’m not a big fan of those big chunky rings that’s in fashion, I love thin rings.

    • jenny says:

Same here, I prefer thin rings mostly because of work & just personal aesthetic.

Yeah this winter has been crazy mild here so I’ve just been layering cardigans with thick wool coats. Haven’t had to double-sock it just yet LOL

  11. ★Momo☆ says:

I like the outfit first one on the left! It has that earthy feel to it. But anyways looks like I need to go spring shopping and get out of my hibernation. (*´ο`*)=3

    • jenny says:

That one is my favorite! I lined them up from most favorite to favorite but least xD!!

I’m sorta ready to not have to wear wool coats D: I kinda need a new one but I don’t want to BUY a new one this year so I’m waiting it out.

  12. mango says:

I really enjoy your fashion-inspo posts, even though this one is from Madewell, the styles almost has a japanese feel haha.
The second outfit from the top left is so so cute!!! That gives me inspo for this spring, super relaxed in a loose fitted light denim shirt with the femininity of a loose flowy skirt: love!

    • jenny says:

Agreed with that, I really enjoy being able to find brands that can sorta cross-over you know?? It’s rare though :(

YES! I feel so inspired by that second outfit too!

  13. Betty says:

Love these outfits. They’re are great inspirations :) I really like the 3rd & 4th outfits. I can’t wait till Spring gets here. We just had constant snow for 2 days so it seems like the wait is gonna be a while.

  14. Namie says:

I love thin gold rings like those~ !! They are so delicate ^^ I ordered the Forget Me Knot ring trio (http://www.jewelmint.com/jewelry/forget-me-knot-trio) from Jewelmint a few months ago, when I got a discount code. I really love the rings and get a lot of compliments on them BUT I would never recommend their jewelry, because these rings have tarnished a lot in the few months I’ve had them. The discoloration has gotten so bad that I’m pretty sure I will have to give them up soon. Too bad, because they were a staple accessory for me.

  15. Courtney says:

I like the bright colors in those outfits and they’re very pretty in general ~

The rings are cute–lots of different choices!

  16. Lisa says:

OMG these rings! I love the so many of them! I wonder if the skeleton ones leave an imprint on your finger after you take them off.

  17. Bianca says:

these looks are soooo super casual I LOVE the tshirt skirt combo…fo reals

  18. cin says:

    OMG the rings are perfect!!

  19. cheryl says:
