Current Favorite Items

I haven’t posted outfits in a while. Currently my favorite pieces include this brown floral-print dress from Elli’s Cabinet on Yesstyle and this navy blue “windownook” sweatercoat from Madewell.

The new bag is similar to my other favorite satchel but it’s smaller and lighter and was a Christmas gift from a friend! It’s also a 3 way bag and can transform into a rucksack ::9: I’ve enjoyed using it lately when I don’t want a full heavy purse on me.

I’m going to organize my closet a bit tomorrow. :deco5: Though I have the day off I have to be home all day because some contractors are going to be repairing a ton of damage that’s left over from some plumbing work. It’ll probably take at least half the day for them to finish. :deco13:

    • jenny says:

*gush* thank you, don’t know what to say except I’m glad you enjoy these posts! I feel I talk about style inspo so much I should make an effort to share sorta what I wear daily you know?

  2. Betty says:

I love that bag! and your other one too. lol. The outfits are so well coordinated :) I esp. love the one w/ the white cardigan!

  3. Margo says:

Been missing your outfits snaps. I’m loving all of these outfits~ I just bought the same navy sweatercoat and I’m wondering if it runs true to size? I bought another sweatercoat from them and found it ran suuuper oversized for me.

    • jenny says:

Madewell in general runs big IMO. I’m always having to buy xs or 0 and even then sometimes the items have a loose fit. I find this to be true in nearly every item. And their skirts, dresses, etc are almost ALWAYS super long on me even in the smallest size (I’m 5′1″) I just sent a pair of jeans I got there to be hemmed, they’re having to take off 6″ just to get the things to come to the floor! It actually changed the fit of the jeans a bit too, oh well. Relaxed jeans instead of straight cut now haha!

      • Margo says:

Yeah, it’s true. I usually take an M and had to exchange the sweatercoat for an XS and I was shocked, though their cotton button-ups (for me) seem to be quite slim (but I’m busty). I don’t have a physical store close to me, so now I’m quite cautious about sizing when I order online. :/

Thank god they have free hemming, right?!

        • jenny says:

Ah!!! You think they have free hemming too!!! I thought so too but they charged me $20 and said they never had free hemming. I’m just so confused bc I could have sworn it was free too :O?

          • Margo says:

Definitely not true! I RECEIVED free hemming from them on three occasions, so they had it at least up until this past spring. They advertised it a lot when I first started shopping there. How odd. I wonder why they would stop offering this service. It seemed like a good selling point for their denim to me!

          • jenny says:

Ah see! This is so freakin frustrating to me! I don’t care that it was $20 but I seriously thought it was free but now when I search for it it only comes up as free during certain denim sales huhuhu x(

  4. Amy says:

That dress is so worth it, so many outfits you can create with it. Your hair has gotten much longer lately, very pretty. C:

  5. Denny says:

I just adore the second outfit! Especially the Madewell cardigan, so lovely♥

  6. Serena says:

Eeee :D I love the bag that your friend got you! Makes me want to really get one now, I’ve been wanting to get one like yours since last year, but haven’t really seen one that I’ve fancied with nice material. Gotta love multi functional wear bags!

Btw your hair looks pretty when worn up and you look lovely in the outfits! :3 x

    • jenny says:

Awe thank you. I wish I wore my hair up more but I get headaches easily. I have some new hair ties though that are more gentle so I can wear it up more often!

  7. Amelia says:

cute outfits! how you coordinate the dress makes it look like a 2 totally different one :)
3 way bags, I always one one teehee

  8. Elisa says:

oehh i like all outfits ^^ \!! totally love your style. you’re using the olympus mini right ^^ ??

  9. L says:

So cute! I love the colours scheme of your items. You could easily mix and match things :)

    • jenny says:

Thank you~ winter colors :) And yes, it DOES make it easier to match. This dress came in navy as well which I really liked too but this reddish brown shade seemed easier to match for cold days and it’s long-sleeved anyway :)

  10. jayne says:

    CUTE CUTE CUTE!
I’m putting together outfits similar to this to take to New York – I hope it won’t be too cold though!

    • jenny says:

Oh when are you going!? I’ll be going in Feb & Jan/Feb are the coldest months here but best prices too! I’m only 3 hrs away so the temps are the same to me DC to NY so c’est la vie but yea bring double layer tights under jeans, scarf, earmuffs, gloves, wool coat if you’re coming in Feb ;))) Seek refuge in warm trendy shops :)

  11. z says:

I’m loving how versatile that dress is! :3

  12. Jenii says:

Totally digging how comfy everything looks!! Not to mention super cute at the same time!!

  13. Sidney says:

I got a dress from f21 that is ~*~somewhat~*~ similar. Brown w/pink dots, though. Yours is so gorgeous & probably better quality hahaha. You also wear yours better! Love these outfit shots, you look like you stepped out of the pages of a spread for the scans you always post!!

  14. Tori says:

Isn’t it awesome when you find wardrobe staples that just WORK? Makes me feel so silly/guilty for being one of those people who used to think rewearing something was the ultimate sin XD I love how you put all of these together ♥
Good luck with the contractors tomorrow too! Sounds slightly annoying, ugh…

    • jenny says:

huhuhuhu I used to totally feel like that too!? Seems insane looking back on it now.

The contractors took all. day. From 8am till past 4:00 but at least it’s DONE! Just letting the paint dry!

  15. shanjae says:

Love the new bag~ it looks great with all your outfits!

  16. sarah says:

Oooh! Organizing! I Love when you do posts on that! I always feel so inspired after reading them! Your organizing style is just so…. visually pleasing.

But, something I must ask!…. what brand / cut / fit pants do you buy? You’ve said several times that your quite petitie,( as i am too.. ) and I really love the way your slacks look & fit.

Those black ones above, are those peg legged? Cigarette? Or are you just rolling up straight leg trousers? Whatever you do, please share :) you did another post a while back, you were wearing.. a blue blouse, khaki pants and, if I remember right, a grey pola dot cardigan, those whole outfit looked lovely and I have been trying to find some bottoms with a similar fit e
ver since I saw that post.
    Jenny, your style is delighful!

    • jenny says:

I have to shop around a lot for pants that fit. These are black denim skinny style that I’ve rolled the bottoms up a lot. The other khaki’s were fitted skinny khaki’s that I also rolled up. The only pants I have that I don’t ever roll are my cheap f21 skinny jeans with zipper cuffs. I just unzip them half way at the bottom. I have some relaxed fit JCrew matchstick cords (in “short” size) that I roll when wearing flats but if I’m wearing 3″ heels I can leave them unrolled. I basically roll up any style as long as they aren’t too wide. It’s more out of necessity than fashion sense. c’est la vie~~

  17. Anna says:

    Love all of this!
I always look forward to your outfit posts, you are one of my biggest inspirations when it comes to dressing in a more casual girly style!
Especially love that sweatercoat so so much! I wish we had a Madewell here in Sweden :/
Hope you’re feeling better as the days go by!

  18. Cupcake says:

Geeze girl, you got the cutest style! That bag is so fabulous and transformable, it looks like it could merge with any outfit!

  19. Thanh Thao says:

Super cute outfits!!! They look comfy, too! :)

  20. Aw you look so adorbs, hun! I always enjoy your refreshing sweet style!

  21. Courtney says:

This reminds me of those magazine spreads where they take one piece and mix and match it to make many outfits! :D I always loved those…so this is a really cute idea! I flat out love the dress, too…I want to find something flowy and long like that too. :) Plus the pattern’s adorable.

  22. _lyne says:

i love how you look in that dress! everytime i try something on like that, it makes me look 10 years older instantly T__T

  23. Thuy An says:

You are the cutest! I’m in love with your orange Madewell sweater, it looks so cozy.

  24. mango says:

LOVE the second outfit!!! the blouse and cardigan combo looks very Chanel’esque! Very elegant and soft, with a touch of casual by the bag, and love the satchel-shape of the bag too!

  25. Tilleul says:

Cute. I always love browns and blues together. I didn’t know Old Navy had boots like that. I will have to check them out. They should be on sale now, too, right? ( I hope. )

  26. Pia Lopez says:

I love your trend. I wish I can find stuff like that in my hometown.

  27. rene says:

Loving all your outfits! as usual…… =)

  28. MissFeelo says:

Omo so fashionable. I love all three of them very much. Orange is my favourite colour so I love seeing it worn! You pull off everything so well! I’m especially interested in the Madewell coat!

    • jenny says:

You’re too kind, seriously! I’m glad you like the orange sweater though! I don’t have any other orange, it’s sorta a challenging color to me but I just loved the texture of this sweater!

  29. cin says:

Pretty pretty~~ I love the bag and your Madewell sweater~

  30. Jess says:
