Majolica Majorca Glass Drop

Remember that Majolica Majorca Glass Drop Gel Coat I got from Yesstyle? Well it’s been my favorite top coat for weeks now.

It’s a quick drying shiny top coat that mimics the look of gel nails. When it’s freshly applied it does look quite glassy and gel-like! :deco5: It’s dry to the touch within moments which I love. Quick drying is a must for me. It’s a pretty durable top coat as well. Takes quite a few days before I notice any chipping. Honestly I haven’t noticed much because I end up repainting my nails before it even begins to chip. :deco13: One thing I will note is that the top coat does become dull about 3 days later from scuffing. So while it still looks great, it’s not as shiny and gel-like after a few days of wear.
etc.
I recently went through my makeup and cleared out some older items or items I wasn’t really using any longer. It’s also a cathartic experience. I actually meant to clear through my nail polishes first but tackled the more challenging makeup instead. It feels great to walk past my makeup bag and see everything organized again. The rest is in my travel makeup bag that I take with me daily.

Lastly I got these Godiva biscuits for Valentine’s Day along with a box of Godiva chocolates. Honestly I’m in love with these biscuits!! It’s the first time I’ve gotten to try them and I’m loving the break from their usual truffles, etc. Maybe biscuits aren’t as “gift-worthy” as a box of chocolates but I’m so happy I received these. Especially wonderful with a cup of tea. :)

I am enticed by those delicious-looking chocolates! Ha ha :)
They’re chocolate biscuits & they’re amazing!
How does that top coat compare to Seche Vite, if you’ve ever used it? The packaging entices me…haha!
I heard seche was the holy grail of top coats. I keep meaning to order a bottle. Honestly this probably doesn’t compare performance-wise to it.
Now that I’ve got the matte top coat, I want something like this that does SUPER SHINY GEL COAT. Or something. I never have enough :x
Still trying to decide if I should get Naked 2 before I leave omg………
I like your matte, like I said before, I might get that next! Though I really need to get the seche one because I hear it’s really good.
I’ve never tried a top coat that leaves a gel-like result/feeling. That’s crazy! I am tempted to get the Naked 2 palette, too. I should start clearing up my make up drawer. It’s a terrible problem of mine. I keep collecting, forget that I have others, and end up only using so much of a product that is expiring. I should probably use labels or something and write down the date that I first open everything.
Honestly I’ve used my blog SO MANY TIMES when figuring out how old something is! It’s why I try to post when I buy new stuff so that I can use it later to know for myself :X
I ate Godiva chocolate before. The taste is totally amazing. But is too expensive over here. I still can remember the lovely tast
I heard it’s even more expensive overseas, yeah. Even in the US it’s a more costly chocolate. They’ve started making some lower-end versions of their chocolates though and selling it in supermarkets. Cheaper and taste pretty good.
The biscuits are amazing! I really need to clean out my cosmetics/nail polish as well…
THEY ARE! I got a lot of Godiva truffles and chocolates just at Xmas and a small box again for vday so it was nice to have these biscuits too as a nice less heavy feeling change!
The biscuits are amazing! I really need to clean out my cosmetics/nail polish as well…
Tidying up is truely therapeutic! I feel really ‘complete’ when I arrange them nicely on my shelf every night(OCD??).
But it saddens me how I never finish my make-up but keep wanting to buy buy buy new ones @@
SO DO I! Feels great going and picking out a blush or nail polish now when I can see all my favorites right there!
I have some makeup items I always finish and some I just don’t. It’s a satisfying thing to finish something but also terrifying to depend on a favorite item and then they stop making it! x(
hmm…I should probably get a top coat that’s not sparkle…for once :P I like the idea of this gel/glass finish though! Getting rid of stuff is always oddly cathartic right? I think there really must be something behind minimalist Buddhist teachings…
Oh biscuits are a nice idea. :) So much lighter and not nearly as rich and heavy as truffles! They look so yummy! :P
Yeah I got a box of truffles as well that I’m able to set aside and “save” for later thanks to these biscuits!!
Actually it’s funny because Sephora by OPI released glitter top coats I’m interested in trying! Supposed to be a great, smoother glitter top coat option than past items :O. Not sure if you’ve seen them.

No I hadn’t! :O Thanks for sharing…these are really nice!! Especially the silver ones! Yes yes, glitter is fantastic but I hate when it is too bulky (ie glitter sticks out of the polish and dries that way ! & then of course your nails chip more easily! :( ) Thanks for sharing–I wanna try them!!
I’m looking for a top coat ;_; The MM looks nice! Ah! If you don’t mind, would you show us your nail polish collection?!~
Unfortunately I don’t have a photo but I was wearing it here http://instagr.am/p/HCVO7XH3l-/
I love the logo!!! Have you tried the regular Sephora top coat? It’s not to bad with the drying…but I don’t know how fast you like it xD It lasts pretty long and I don’t see it get dull.
I have, I have! I own a few OPI top coats and also I have an OPI base coat. It does dry slower than I’d prefer. I only use it if I know I have time to spare.
I heard about canmake having a similar top coat product. Thanks for writing your thoughts about this!
It’s important casually reorganizing stuff at room.About make up, I always find a lot of new products I used once and forgot! And you have a lot of nice products there *-* I like the way you organized them, you can see them all!
I never tried Godiva chocolates but I always hear this is the best chocolate ever! So their biscuits is that nice too? Hope I can try them soon *_*
Oh yes I’ve seen CANMAKES! They have everything really xD I think theirs is called “jelly” or something. I forget.
You lost me at those biscuits…… ~( ̄▽ ̄)~
Hahahaha understandable. I finished them last night actually :X
naked 2 !!!!!!!!!!! love!!!
Do you have it!!??? I love it! I can’t believe I still see it sold out so much :O
i need to clear my makeup stash too…but it’s so difficult to decide what to throw/give away and how to re-catergorise…T___T i feel like I have never really found a way that I really like…
Agreed it’s hard and I have to be in a “purge” mood. When I am, I take advantage of it and in the end I’m always really glad I did. I just hate going into grab something then see these things I never use and I feel guilty just seeing them. I try to think of the last time I used it usually as the biggest reason to toss it. If I hadn’t used it in the last 6 months it definitely should go =Y
Wonderful photos! :-) I must clear out some of my old make-up/skincare items. Everytime I see something new in the department store, I tend to hoard them. =__= I agree that it must be a cathartic experience. In with the new and out with the old!
Exactly plus less guilt when you KNOW yourself & you KNOW you’re gonna be buying something new at least seasonally.
Yes! Quick drying gel nail~~ Sounds awesome! I got some cheapo gel top coat but it didn’t look any different from a normal top coat D:
That’s what I was afraid of but thankfully this does look somewhat more gel than my other shiny top coats. It’s like a smooth look.
Godiva chocolates are like my #1 weakness, haha ;x So freaking yummy!
You have the prettiest makeup too, haha ♥
Aesthetic is 1/2 the fun of makeup I think. I think the industry is catching onto that. so many “shaped” palettes this spring!
Just discovered your blog yesterday and I’m really liking it so far, thanks for making it!
The top coat seems really nice. You mentioned that it goes dull after about 3 days, I was wondering it you could shine it back up with a nail buffer? I recently picked up these cuties and they work really well. Cute designs on them, and perfect for on the go.
BRILLIANT IDEA! I have a buffer side to one of my block files. I’ll have to try this! And thank you for showing such interest in my blog, I’m always happily surprised when someone reads it to be honest xD
