Shiseido Ma Cherie Air Feel Hair Care
Sunday August 26, 2012

Picked up the travel size of Ma Cherie Moisture Shampoo & Conditioner back in April. I absolutely loved the fragrance and pretty bottles so I decided to give the “Air Feel” version off Yesstyle a try since my hair needs more volume assistance than it does moisture.
The moisture one definitely left my hair shiny but a little heavy too. I’m giving the Air Feel one a try tomorrow morning and will be back with an update.

So soft!
My hair is so, so soft and shiny today after using this shampoo & conditioner. It doesn’t add thickening volume but instead adds very soft and wispy volume. I think the name “air feel” really suits the results I got. My hair was very light and soft and swished as I walked the halls of my office. I also got a compliment on my hair today from an acquaintance I often see. She mentioned my hair looked “really pretty today.” I think it was the softer look and extra shine. I didn’t add any other products into my hair today just so I could see the pure results. I will say the fragrance fades quickly compared to other shampoos such as Angel Heart’s Hair Wash though. Mmmm I’m happy with it! I think this line works best, for me, on days I want to wear my hair more straight.

Both versions have the same “romantic” scent and offer similar benefits such as being safe for color treated hair, protects hair from heated styling tools, adds shine, and helps mask unpleasant odors such as cigarette smoke throughout the day.
The scent is described as “sweet and refreshing” and comes off as a fruity floral to me. So not too sweet and not too flower’y.

I’ve been searching for a good shampoo but I find that Japanese shampoos (even Pantene) left my hair shiny but too greasy. I think you mentioned before you had thin hair, so maybe your experience is different?
Maybe one day I will get to have an awesome experience from Japanese shampoo, haha (^^;)

Living here in Yokohama has wrecked havoc on my hair >.

Japanese shampoos/conditioners tend to be too heavy for me (last month I had to resort to 7-Eleven brand from the konbini, haha) but I might have to give this a try. From your picture and the link, the shampoo formula appears clear–is that correct?–so it just might work for me.

Oooh! I saw that at Mitsuwa a couple of days ago. I was really tempted to buy it but I decided against it since I didn’t have any prior experience with their other products.

Do you find this better than the kao essential shampoo? My kao essential shampoo and conditioner is running out soon and I’ve been thinking of either getting it again or replacing it with a new one.

Help mask unpleasant odor? This is the first time I’ve heard this feature and definitely an innovative one!!!
Malaysian girls definitely need this shampoo here, there’s just too many smokers around *cough cough*

That’s make me want to test it since I have seen these bottles on japanese store! And your post make it a lot!

I really liked the Air Feel Ma Cherie shampoo/conditioner I tried. I prefer the Tsubaki Shining, though, in the end! but the Ma Cherie scent is so feminine and pretty (:

The bottles look beastly! I really like that they have a pump. I hope it does the job for you. I always find that my hair really needs volume above all things.

Hmm, if Marukai ever gets it I would try it. I have been obsessed with ICHIKAMI lately though.

Hi Jen! It’s been so long since I last commented! Sorry! But we see each other often in Instagram!
I use the air feel one too! I think it works for me as well! -
Very good product design indeed. When I visited Japan, I was tempted to buy this so badly, but I didn’t. And I will forever regret it.. Ha ha ha! It must be so nice to walk around the office with bouncy hair :3

Already sold on the packaging. I need to switch up my shampoo and conditioner anyway :3

Where did you buy them? I just moved to northern Virginia from Irvine, CA and I’m trying to find places that carry Japanese products.
thanks,
Karen

Hmmm, I wanted to try this for a while now since I saw it back in August at a local Japanese beauty store (although I suspect they’re priced too high).
I’ll be waiting patiently for your thoughts on the Air Feel ones :D
