Yokohama in the Rain
Wednesday, Aug. 29, 2012 | 25 Comments

hello
From today. Denim Boyshirt. I’m around. I’m busy. Work mostly. I get home and I just want to chill. But there’s a holiday next week I’m hoping (planning?) to get recharged then. I’m taking a day off the week after too. Need a break :) My glasses? I don’t think I ever posted them on my blog; only on instagram. I scratched my eye in my sleep last night :ng: So wearing contacts would have been too uncomfortable today.
I’m rambling because I’ve been on a sugar-high since receiving all those Country Ma’am.
I thought I’d post a few photos from when I visited Yokohama. It was a really cold rainy day. Also I met up with some friends I hadn’t seen in about a year, so most my photos are of all of us. So here are a few in between I wanted to post :)

My adopted hometown – Yokohama is one of the most beautiful, well spaced areas that I have ever lived in ♡ Love you photos of Japan!

Lovely photos! Did you take all of these with your Olympus?
Yes I did. I was playing with the ART modes a lot that day.
That’s awesome :D! Your pictures always look so nice. Did you do any post-processing in photoshop or was it all from the ART modes on the camera?
ART mode plus there’s a super admin mode where you can play with the colors so I sometimes push blue higher or red for blue/red overtones. I’m still experimenting with it because I don’t take it out so much lately.
Ahh, you look really good in glasses~!
Ah, Jenny! ~
How are you?
Those photos are so cute, all bright and candy coloured. Quick question – what do you wear your denim boyshirt with? I’ve got one, but I don’t wear it nearly as much as I should for it to be worth me buying, but I feel like nothing goes with it! Suggestions!?
xoxo.
Oh! I feel the opposite actually. I feel everything goes with it! I’m wearing it a ton. Mostly I match it up with skirts especially black pencil skirts. I also get a lot of compliments when I pair it with this skirt -

and this one

This 1 too though I’m wearing a different 3/4 denim here

I also wear it with these shorts (dark tobacco shade) -

When it gets cooler I’ll layer it under my sweaters like this -

And with black denim skinny jeans. I originally bought it because it’s thick and warm for winter but am getting some late summer wear from it too thankfully.
A few ideas from Jcrew:

Thank youuuu!
I’m going to try to find stuff that will go with it; denim on denim looks a bit silly and I have a hell of a lot of pairs of those. I suppose it’s time to find something online that goes or whatever; I don’t like clothes sitting in my wardrobe without uses.
Wish me luck!
xoxo.
Ah yeah, denim on denim is really tricky pulling off.

Good luck with your chambray shirt!
Pretty!
Don’t know much of Yokohama I’m afraid :(
Is it famous for anything?
It’s a very famous port town in Japan. I visited a popular Chinatown area while there as well :D
Yep, that national holiday coming up — it’s my birthday. Y’know… you’re welcome. :-P
Yokohama is one of my favorite cities! It is a good place to go on a date too :)
