Mike: *AHAHAHAHA*
Jen: What’s so funny!?
Mike: You listen to such obscure bands.
Jen: *mad, sad face, changes song…*
Mike: *AHHHAHAHA* YOU’RE SO EASY TO GET MAD!!
Jen: WHAT!? What… humph… why do you have to be like that to me!?
Mike: It’s cute!! You listen to such obscure stuff… I like that about you; it makes you cute!
Jen: *classically confused*

Hey look! I made sidenotes! Expect confusing tid-bits of too much information soon! I’m still formatting it & so far nothing seems broken.

IKEA went OK. We couldn’t find the shelves Mike wanted. They’re no longer available. But I did snag the Chandelier I wanted for our “funky” future den!

Also purchased a few things…

See the pancake mix?? Mike made them this morning! Pretty good! Slightly sweeter than our usual mix :breakfast:

Recovering (17)

I’m back. I’m feeling better every day now. Going back to work Monday was a huge mistake. I felt like shit, left early, took Tuesday off, then went back wed - fri. I’m now progressing in my recovery at a normal pace instead of just staying the same like before. Still taking ibuprofen daily, but less every day. Still hurts, but less every day.

Emma, Liv, Jenii, & Jenn for letters/gifts over the past week

The only interesting thing I did was decide on structural options for the house. We had a 3 hour meeting with the builders and decided on a few upgrades. Next step is deciding on the finishing options (carpet, tile, cabinets, molding, lighting, etc.) I’m really happy with the options we got including recessed kitchen lighting, balcony, sconce lighting in the master bathroom, extra cable & flat screen TV outlets, programmable thermostat & so on~~

I can’t help but get really excited about the place!! I know it won’t be ready till autumn.. but construction has already started and we’re making selections and, and… *girly screech!* Tomorrow we’re going to IKEA to buy some things that are no longer in production. Well, hoping to at least! There’s a chandelier that I want for the den & Mike wants this certain bookcase. Both are no longer being produced so we should buy it now even if we can’t install them till fall.

This can’t be…. (22)

I think I’m sick. I thought I was just car sick but I got home & passed out. Mike tried to wake me but even shaking me didn’t wake me for dinner. I ate dinner, still feel sick. My project manager was out sick today. My boss didn’t look all too well either and now Mike says he’s feeling badly.

The problem - my surgery is next week. I can’t be sick and get it done. Also, I’m not getting put on antibiotics post surgery because I hadn’t been sick in a long time when I went in for my consultation.

I should be fine though I have a week.

In a week & 1/2 we meet the builders for our structural orientation. Basically we choose our structural options for the house, [number of outlets, number of cable inputs, balcony options, and so on ]

I really hate watching TV so much now. I think it’s making me brain dead. It’s really, mainly, Mike’s fault.
