A is for Accessory

Messy, messy, messy rain soaked hair. :rainy:

Mike found these Missoni for Target barrettes this weekend. Last pair after a recent re-stock. I was so happy to get them though, they’re lovely & I’m barrette obsessed lately. These were the 1 Missoni item I really, really wanted. I wore them to work and even got a compliment on them. :deco15:

I took this photo after 8 hours of work plus having been rained on about 3 separate times today. I’m surprised my hair doesn’t look WORSE actually. It’s bitter, bitter cold & rainy today but tomorrow is supposed to go back to normal fall weather & temperatures. :deco2:

What a great weekend! :deco8:
I feel really re-energized and motivated! ::9: I got to chill but also felt somewhat productive. I even loaded up Just Dance 2 for the first time in months and played Just Sweat for a little while! See, seriously energized.  ::9:

I went on a little mission to find nice large barrettes after loving my smaller ones I got back in May. Seeing them in used mix style magazines this month really made me frantic to find some! :angry: My hair… It’s at that awkward stage where the old way I styled it for a short bob doesn’t work anymore. I have a few ways I’m styling it now but I was still getting a bit bored. :deco13: I loved how big barrettes looked though! I did a side French braid yesterday with the tan one. :up: But even a simple side-swept back look seems more “put together” with an oversized barrette.  :deco9:

So I looked around. Urban Outfitters had some I liked but they weren’t in stores. :drops: Thankfully I stopped by Amuse an accessories store in the same mall. I picked up these.  :arrow:

The two on the right are my favorite. :suki: Perfect color matches for my recent purchases of fall clothing plus simple and chic too which I liked.  :deco2:

The two on the left are more “fun.” I got the hearts one to wear next to hair buns :) :ok:

They’re all the perfect size though! SO HAPPY with that! :deco10:

I would still like a more decorative homemade looking one. :deco8: With lace, beads or sequins or something. Below is sorta what has been swimming around in my head :deco15:

Outfit that day. It was rainy off/on but still sorta hot. :rainy: New pleated dress from Yesstyle, as well as the bag, aqua tank from H&M, rosary “necklace” Forever21, sandals from Target. I’m just wearing small barrettes in this photo to keep my hair back a little.
