一平ちゃん 入浴剤! :excitedyo:
Bathtub cup noodle!! :food: :starburst:
Actually bathtub Ippei-chan Night Stall Yakisoba (一平ちゃん夜店の焼そば) :rainbowtwinkle: :D This is a bath time recreation of Myojo’s popular Yakisoba cup noodle. :ohyeslovely: There’s a sponge inside made to look like the noodles and an included bath salt that’s a dead ringer for the actual yellow flavoring powder! But thankfully it doesn’t smell of noodle spice. :kissyheart: Instead it’s cypress scented. Very woodsy and light. Quite enjoyable. I picked this up in Akihabara. I forget which store exactly. They had a lot of these fun gifts there. :good:

I actually used to eat these Ippei-chan noodles all the time for lunch a few years ago. It comes with little mayo packets to spread on top. Pretty tasty actually, haahaaa. :cfaha2:

Had some restaurant Yakisoba this past weekend. :;_;: It was alright. :snot: I’m sorta a picky noodle eater. :laughingheart: But I WAS craving it. The “yakisoba” dish at this place could have used a little more Yaki and a little less soba. :smallcry::faceaha::;_;: I like my noodles burned and crunchy haahaaaa. :hungry: :doubleheartbeat: MOAR CABBAGE TOO PLEASE. :facepalmcry:

i’m dying with the lack of Japanese food in Northeastern PA! haha

btw, haven’t commented recently, but I love your new layout. Though I love every layout you have, so I guess my compliments don’t mean much, haha!

yumm, I’m going to have to look for more crazy gifts when I’m in Japan next time. huhu~

  2. Ive never tasted yakisoba! How does it taste like?

Those bathtub cup noodle is too cute :D

    XOXO

  3. Tilleul says:

The noodle bath is so funny! I am relieved it doesn’t smell like instant noodles. Do you know what “hokahoka” means? Maybe I’ll go try to google it. You are making me think that next time I go to Japan I will have to set aside a bag or maybe a suitcase for bringing back bath stuff.

  4. chocoNIKKI says:

Ohhh~ My sister loves that Ippei-chan yakisoba, a good alternative to my usual Shin Ramyun, but I find it good but a bit pricey..!~ =O *boooo* hehe~ That idea for bath salt is a pretty good gimmick! But was the sponge noodles usable/good? lol!

  5. Sachie says:

    Super cute! :D
When I first read the title on your twitter, I thought they were cup noodles that you put in your bath water to heat up. XD

  6. zoraida says:

when bath time mixes together with cooking time!

  7. Jane says:

That is too freaking cute, hahaha! XD

  9. megan says:

ah! I like my yakisoba noodles crunchy too! Well, the one time I had it anyway, haha (at my host family’s in 09-quite a while ago, ha). I’ve thought about trying to make it, but first I need to find a good recipe, and then there’s getting all the ingredients as well.

  10. Louise says:

Oh wow, it’s quite tempting to take a sip of the bathwater! hahahaha XD

  11. miya says:

    hahaha that sponge is hilarious.

  12. Bianca says:

i want a bath now! i have such awesome finds! any tips on good places for bath stuff in the US…websites even?

im glad it did not turn your bath into a bowl of soup( horrifying) i havent had japanese food in a while, its so hard to find it done rite…and not being made by non-japanese ppl :/

  13. cheri says:

Every time I read your bath salt reviews, I wish I didn’t share my tub with 5 other room mates !!

  14. Veronica says:

That is fantastic – so now that’s caviar and noodle bath things! we need moar food items!! :D

  15. Cindii says:

Haha, looks like instant noodle! I think I would laugh most of the time I’m taking the bath with that noodle sponge. Haha and then I’d want to eat it.

  16. Ingrid says:

Damn you, I’m really hungry now…. Um…More so from the bath noodle picture than the actual yakisoba. Is that weird?

    (yes)

  17. Melissy ♥ says:

    Love Japanese packaging!! XD
It’s packaged so much like real instant noodles~
Glad that the smell wasn’t some savoury noodle soup smell though. Imagine bathing in that… Hahaha~
I have no idea what yakisoba is but I WANT TO TRY!!

  18. Anna says:

Wow, that’s so weird. I wish I had a tub.

  19. Sofia says:

I’m the biggest fan of yakisoba! I want that sponge *_* and I also want to eat yakisoba now. I cooked “”real”" yakisoba (ah well, it felt real because I could get the right flavoring and soba for it in Japan I suppose?) at my friends’ house in Tokyo all the time when I stayed there last summer. I have a noodle addiction I think… ohoho

  20. Amelia says:

The sponge is so cute. I like the packaging very ingenious. :)

  21. Nami says:

Haha I’m pretty picky with food too!
I’ve seen quite a lot of food-shaped baththings from Japan, I always think they look so cool. I’ll probably buy a lot of them when I go there because I just LOVE quirky things like this haha XD (quite possibly one of the reasons I love Japan is for all the quirky Japan-only products haha)

  22. Sidney says:

I LOVE YAKISOBA. i love noodles, though. fried noodles. and i also love it when there’s a ton of cabbage/veges with the noodles. omnomnom

haha i’m glad it doesn’t really smell like yakisoba 8D suuuuch an awkward bath experience if it did…

  23. Jane says:

Hahaha, I like burned noodles too! ^^

  24. Linda says:

OMG THAT LOOKS SO LEGIT! LOL love it!
    yay! fellow cabbage lover!

  25. Suteisi says:

Aahhh! Hahaha that’s such a cute sponge!! And it actually look real too if you look at it really quickly hahaha~

Those noodles definitely look more like soba… but I don’t like my noodles burned… Lol

  26. Ongaku says:

Haha! That is really awesome. I would use one of those. Some people come up with the most interesting and creative ideas. xD

  27. Elisa says:

omg, that sponge is cool xD hahaha and i used to eat that as well, but the chinese version.. hmm is it the same >.

  28. this post made me really hungry for noodles ; – ;♡

Haha…I wanted to try these noodles until I saw they were like 600kcal…oh well…someday :)

    • jenny says:

Of course! It’s sitting in my tub right now :).

Yeah I know! I used to NEVER COUNT CALORIES *fuxing fail*

      • Courtney says:

ohhh!!! Fabulous! I have gotta find one of those, a noodle sponge would enhance my bath time SO much lol :P

Oh, me either. I’m shocked now that I used to live off of instant noodles, pasta and poptarts and being smaller than I am now. o_o

  32. Kat says:

    Great fortune!! :)

    how have you been? :)

  33. nana says:
