Saturday iPhone Snaps

Monday March 28, 2011   

Sunny Saturday but in the mid 30F temperature wise. :cry: Plus it was a bit windy! People were even flying kites so needless to say “brrrr” :deco13: but in the sun it was tolerable. :sunny:

We walked around the basin a bit and just enjoyed being out. I miss warmer weather when we’re out walking around. Being active. :deco8: Instead of being indoor sloths. :deco13:

Stopped by Old Ebbitt Grill for brunch. :deco7: They had a special Cherry Blossom menu :deco6: portion where some of the proceeds are donated to Japan Relief! Mike ordered their tonkatsu. It was only 9:30am :deco13: so I went with an egg soufflé and fresh fruits.




Mmmmmm Monday has sucked, :;_;: I want to go back to Saturday please :angry:

    that is TOO cute that they have a cherry blossom menu! all the dishes sound delicious!

    Lovely pictures!! I wished I had time to walk around the monuments when I was in DC.

    And the food looks delicious! I think that might be one of the primarily reasons why I want to move to a big city after college – FOOD!

      It does definitely take time, they don’t look so far apart but OMG when ppl visit and we walk them I’m always reminded how BIG the National Mall is.

      I’m so on the fence about egg dishes so I was happy I actually enjoyed this! Though it was too much, I could only eat half. It had mushrooms, ham, and baked cheese on top.

      I was shocked to see it and so happy. That place gets SLAMMED every day so I know they’re raising a lot!! There wasn’t much news about the Cherry Blossom Festival and Japan donations at first but once it started last Thursday it’s clear it’s all about remembering Japan and helping. *cries*

      I know my old phono couldn’t, I tried… it’s just so much easier since I usually already have my phone out anyway I can easily remember to take snaps.

      I think there might be, and I think they’re Korean brand. Worn like daily wear contacts right? The only thing that comes to mind are Acuvue’s Freshlook but they’re just colored not circle.

      My favorite lenses? Hum… I really love any from the Max Pure series but lately I wear my Seeshell Cosmo Hazel lenses. I have a very high prescription strength so I’m a bit limited in lenses I’ve gotten to try plus I have light eyes so that limits me a bit more if I don’t want a hard break in color on my eyes (it’s not obvious if you have dark eyes though.)

      My favorite for color though is from the Barbie Gossip series!

    Yes.. it was very cold on Saturday! Looks can deceive, now can’t they? Hehe
    It’s wonderful that people everywhere are donating money & goods to go help Japan… our hearts are with them!! ^_^
    I felt like the week would be long ever since yesterday.. everyone’s getting sick, so we’re all tired and not in the mood for anything! I really hope it could be the weekend already!

    I heard the stomach virus is coming around again… and this one’s pretty bad… O_O let’s all be careful!
