Photo Challenge A-Z: G

Sunday, December 4th, 2011 | 22 Comments

G is for Galileo thermometer!

Played around with M (manual shooting) mode with a nearby light source for this one. Also the pinhole art filter was in use.

I haven’t forgotten about my photo challenge. I just wasn’t using my E-PL2 for a while, since I got sick.

This is a Galileo thermometer. I keep it in my home office. This is the type of thing my Dad would give me as a present for Christmas. I once got an old fashioned glass drip barometer as well. I truly cherished these things. The science behind them. Well, my original one was broken by my cat about 10 years ago. Years later Mike replaced it with this one after hearing the story of how it broke when I was a kid. Surprisingly it’s moved at least 3 times with me. Can’t believe it hasn’t been broken yet!

It’s beautiful and also… extremely accurate.

Yea I missed doing them too. After I got sick I didn’t use my camera for a while and then I wanted to blog other things. But I’m back to including the photo challenges again now that I feel better!

This is so cool!! How is the manual setting like on the Pen? I still haven’t really played around with the GF1’s manual setting… then again my everyday photo challenge has turned into a fail.. I should rethink what I’m doing!
