Tokyo Storyteller Scarf

Nov 04, 2012

I posted this scarf the other day in the outfit post and then again yesterday on instagram and I’ve been getting asked where I got it so I wanted to post it here separately.

It’s the Tokyo Storyteller Scarf from Madewell.

It was actually something I put on my Christmas List Ideas for Mike but when we were at Madewell last weekend he saw it was on sale (30% off) and said he hadn’t ordered it yet and that I should go ahead and pick it up now.

I love it.
I knew I wanted it the moment I saw that Daikanyama was listed among the neighborhoods. I feel like it’s a sort of understated way to express my love for the city. A lot of times Tokyo inspired items are a bit too over the top “kawaii” for me these days. This scarf fit seamlessly into my already existing favorites for fall.

There are other cities available as well including New York and Paris.
Here on Madewell.

Thanks for the tip-off about the scarf sale! They were 30% off at my store too and I was already on the way there to pick up the Archive boots at 20% off. Not sure if you know or if you have your student ID still, but you get an extra 15% off (stackable) if you show them your id. I ended up getting the colorful subway map looking scarf.
