しろたん and Tralala Goods

Narita Airport snap

This introduction is long overdue! I present しろたん!! :driftingheart: Shirotan or as Mike has dubbed him, Sealy Posturepedic (?), seriously, was my final Japan purchase! I came across him in the Narita Airport on our journey home. Of course I was well aware who he was after seeing him cam whore all over Rinka’s blog. :doubleheartglitter: Quite the travel companion for Rinka! And, because it was psychotically cheap (like 2,000) I bought him immediately!

Rinka & Shirotan

At Home

I hope he likes owls…

I wore my hat from Tralala that day~ that store [Tralala in 109] is so cute AND had a bunch of stuff on sale. To try things on there’s not a separate room. Instead it’s a full-length mirror near the checkout counter and you take your shoes off to step onto the round rug with a heart on it. The store clerk then draws 2 curtains around you giving you privacy to try items on. A lot of boutiques were like this. Also, every place has this disposable cloth you place over your face while trying clothes on to keep your make-up from getting on the clothes. That was a surprise and made perfect sense. I’ve certainly, unknowingly, purchased clothes that had some hags makeup on it and it made me so mad, ya know!?

I adore this hat

In DAILY NEWS I had the flu over the weekend. Then today I felt better, but at the moment I feel worse again. Sore throat & all… sigh. I scanned in KiLaLa out of boredom since I was really trying to stay indoors and “rest.” It’s funny to me how many crooked pages came out… I really was sick I guess.

I’m sick too! I hope we both get better soon, . Lovely purchases, btw! What’s with these Japanese celebs traveling with plushes? I could have sworn Lena had one with her (not the seal, but something) in the trip pictures from her blog…

aw, poor thing~

getting sick sucks. it always happens to me whenever the weather makes drastic changes (which it ALWAYS does in ny). that seal is really cute, it looks like one of those sanrio characters (at least i think there is a seal character in sanrio >

And until I hovered my cursor over that pic of you and saw “webcammm” I was sitting there trying to figure out what Japanese magazine model that was. It’s that pose, you know?!

Hi. (: You don’t know me, but I’ve been reading your blog for about two years now! My name is Tara. I’m 19 years old, college freshman, living in ridiculously hot Florida! 8D;

I always loved seeing what new magazines you had picked up and such. :] I know it’s really weird that I haven’t really left a comment until now. (Well, I did once, about two years ago, asking where you bought your magazines, and you directed me to fujisan.com :])

First of all, congratulations on your recent marriage! Secondly, I have a question. (: How did you plan your honeymoon in Japan? I’ve been to Japan before, but I was with a group of students last time. This summer, however, I will be going back, but with my parents. Were you able to plan your trip through an agency? Or did you just wing it? I’m having trouble figuring everything out. :( We’d like to go to Tokyo, and possibly swing over to see Mt. Fuji, and if we can afford it, visit Kyoto, but, I’m just not sure how to go about planning everything.

Hope all is well!

- Tara

Cute score

Japan : 149825 US : 0

Does each purchase of Shiro make a donation to a seal rescue foundation? That rules

aww cute seal, he would make a great pillow

I’ve seen changing rooms like that in france - they were soooo tiny though I was sure I’d trip and take down the curtain. The makeup cloth is a really useful idea.
