Today I came home to the latest issue of Sweet waiting for me. It features Rinka in “the trench” for autumn. It’s from Maison de Reefur.

There’s a new video on her blog as well. A really vaudeville-quirky-french-aesthetic short for the launch of the new trench coat.

Maison de Reefur is a lifestyle shop produced by Rinka.

It opened in Daikanyama this past April and in 1 week over 10,000 people had visited the shop often forming long lines!

It goes beyond just clothing.
The shop sells home items, flowers, wedding attire, baby goods, and more. It’s set up to reflect a Parisian home with even a bed in the “bedroom” and bath goods located in a faux “bathroom” setting. It somewhat resembles a more selective Anthropologie store with an elegantly messy home feeling to it.

There is also a proper cafe on the second floor named “Rosalie.”

During production Rinka was insistent that she wanted more than just a clothing store. She mentioned wanting the shop to be enjoyed not only by women, but also by couples and families and even serve as a place of escape for those tired of their daily lives and looking to feel re-energized and inspired.

Thus far, the clothing line is selective and very seasonal. For example, a large beach line was released this summer and most of the clothing sold was beachwear related. Recently Rinka introduced the store’s fall trench coat as well. The clothing, as well as the goods and surrounding aesthetics, truly reflect Rinka’s personal taste and style. A sort of timeless classic casual but sweet feeling to everything.

Popular are the tote bags, the hair accessories, candles, and the Rinka-chan plush charms.
