Arcade Lights

Monday, October 27th, 2008 | 30 Comments

It’s still just Monday, right? How dreadful~ why can’t it be Wednesday already!? I think it’s going to be a long week. It’s cold & rainy, my dishwasher was acting funky, my computer speakers have to be replaced (*they were covered but the hour long convo with DELL just to get replacements was insane*), and then today the Roomba decided to FAIL so I gotta call in the warranty on THAT too.

At least I have rain boots if it’s still raining tomorrow~~

All the more reason to slap together a super colorful Japan photo post!!! I present to you GAME ARCADE PHOTOS!

UFO Catcher!

GLOOMY BEAR :*: this one walks around draggin’ a mauled kid

プリクラ!!

my favorite

This was the stairwell to a set of purikura advertising the newest machines! It was especially decorated just for purikura. The rest of the stairwell was blank & boring so this was really cool

LOL @ that winter sonata one! i saw one of the winter sonata tv ads once and that was cheesy too =_=;;;

I’ve always wanted to try those UFO catchers!!!
I saw this jpn show about them once, apparently there’s techniques to get them and those who are really good can pick them up with just one try! :0

TELL ME ABOUT IT. How is it still Monday?? It’s so cold and dreary…ugghh…And I totally know what you mean! When my computer broke I had to call Dell, and then when they sent it back to me they messed up other things so I had to call to have it sent back…each time it takes at least an hour–sometimes that long to get someone on the phone! It’s ridiculous. Urgh. But as always, your cute photos cheer me up! xD
Oh, about the pixel girls–I KNOW! So addicting–that’s why I had to make two at once. xD I wish I lived in the sparkly pixel world, too…Even the poo is cute.

Wow - so many photobooths!

I love the ones where you can write stuff on the screen

I’ve always liked that scene in Lost in Translation where Scarlett Johanssen just walks around to a Kevin Sheilds song looking at the crazy gaming light party around her.

How’s Japan?? Bring back any snacks with you? Hahaha. Oh that reminds me, in my Dreamweaver class we have to do a newsletter site on a candy store based on our month. So, seeing as you just got back from the homeland (lmao…, got any ideas? I was thinking pocky and some hard candy. Haha. I dunno,

So many cute things. I would have gone wild!!!!
I’ll have to drag my brother over with me. He has a unnatural ability to win any arcade game.
Is that a rilakkuma washcloth I see!?!
I wish we had more purikura over in the states.

Japan is amazingly colourful. I think the first time I go there, I might have a seizure from all the colours! LOL

I should get a perm like those 2 girls up there. Afro- style!

Good luck with all your warranties! Companies are so hard- assed about living up to them *sigh*

I love those things! They always have the cutest stuff!

When I was in Akihabara, I saw a man, probably in his 30’s-40’s in an arcade attempting to win a girl’s school uniform. It was really awkward when he caught me staring at him. D;

My friend spent over $10 trying to win this giant blob thing. She finally got it though after a thousand tries! When she won it, one of the employees rushed over to her took it, and bagged it up for her. It was like they had been waiting or something, haha.
