PopSister Insert and Left Overs

PopSister
The February Popteen insert + Dolly Wink campaign!
This month’s insert was basically an introduction to the brands in harajuku using the angle of big sales! If you read CUTiE or Zipper or so on these won’t be anything new~ So this insert is more heavy on the harajuku rather than Shibuya! It’s refreshing in a way Makes me miss the eyecandy these brands always were.

Click the thumbnails for the larger scans!

That was fun~~ I scanned in quite a bit from this issue so I’ll share that soon~ Right now I’m just feeling fat & bloted from pizza (dinner!)

I take a lot of photos with my phone but for various reasons they don’t all make it onto the blog. Some things are just boring. Some things have no explanation? So I thought it might be cool to just share them today!

Painted my nails tonight. Pink with black specs~ My nails are pretty short because they break off constantly given work and everything. When I do manage to get them long they don’t survive

This is a shot of my desk drawer at work. Any free sample of perfume I get; I take into work! Some are for freshening up in the afternoons~ Others are for masking the occasional pungent lunch

Speaking of work I actually do sometimes take snaps of my work outfits! They’re nothing exciting though. I tend to just email them to my friend, LOL. I’m in a real “rolled pant, cardigan + button up, ankle strap shoe” rut, hahahaaa! Usually the office is quite cold but the past few months it’s been insanely hot!! So I have to dress in layers every day despite how cold it might be outside. Because come lunch time the office gets SO HOT I can only stand to be in a short sleeved button up and sockless shoes!

The jeans were for casual Friday. The 1 day when we can wear jeans. These are mostly from last week/this week. I’m loving my 3 new pairs of matchstick corduroy pants from J.Crew if you couldn’t tell! Not sure why I’ve worn this gray cardigan so much lately~

Shhhhhhhhhhhh! I’m at work, at my desk,
haahaaa

BATH TIME~~!!
This is the side of my tub~ Got all the necessities! HAHAAHHAAA

Some bath salts I’ve used recently~
This is just a fragrant relaxing bath salt~

:F This one I used last night! Rock bath! It turns the water black!!! It’s a sweat bath. I suppose mimicking the concept of having a bath in a volcano hahhha~

I liked it though! Fairly effective. :!:

They have another one and it’s FANTASTIC! It’s a very potent sweat bath but it makes the water super sparkly and smell great!

This is just a scented fizzing bath ball~

And another sweat bath I used recently. It’s really mild though, the scent is OK, a bit overpowering.

I rearranged my vanity this week~

That’s it! Randomness before the weekend

YAY you’re blogging so much - ENTERTAIN ME, Jen! I demand it!!

What a coinky dink! These are some of the bathsalts I order from Rakuten a while back!

Basically I put my order in - tentatively in Japanese - eeek! - and basically my order just disappeared! It went through, then refunded me with no explanation!

I’m glad to hear they are awesome though - i”ll have to try another outlet to get these!!

Geez that seriously blows!!! I’m sorry about that D:If it helps, cosmeland has the bison ones http://www.cosmelandusa.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_165&products_id=1257&zenid=656dr3rpoj274k9hjr0eiti990

Thanks! I want to try the Metabo ones with the piggies on the front!

Yeah Rakuten is best if you are fluent enough where you can communicate with Cust. Service :(

random shots like that of desks, baths etc are so fun to look through, they definitely show a lot about one’s pesonality.

First off Thank you thank you for the PopSister scans!! Not every outfit fits my style, but some of them really jump out at me ^^ I love the ones with black and leopard print of course .

It’s so great you can dress so cutely even when at work. I always dressed so slobby at my last professional job XP Those matchstick pants are super sweet, and a great way to add cute style to work attire. Your cube is awesome btw!

Your bathtub looks so nice, mine is really low and small and doesn’t hold water. The black bath salt is quite intriguing, I want to try that haha. Thanks for sharing all the interesting photos and topics!

geee~ ur outfits are so cute! I’ll currently work every sunday @ my mother’s café. If I go there I dress up all boring with a simple white blouse and black jeans or a black skirt for waitressing. It’s boring xD! I wish I could put on a huge variety of styles but uargs x_X my mom would kill me >D

I love that popteen scans, thanks for sharing them ^^

I really want a pair of Dolly Wink lashes! They are so cute! I especially love the ‘Dolly Sweet’, ‘Sweet Girly’ & ‘Feminine Style’ ones~ I love them but I’m not too good at putting on falsies. Mainly because I am so impatient

I tried the 爆汗湯 series in Rose Champagne & Hot Ginger but I didn’t find it effective for me… Maybe I didn’t do the steps correctly? I don’t know how I got it wrong though The water was just not very hot at all :(

You’re so lucky you can wear cute outfits to work! I just wear ugly scrubs and the only creative thing I could do is wear different colours (-___-”

January 23, 2010 @ 5:49 pm

Yea, you gotta really fill the tub with very hot water for effectiveness. Though I found that those versions of the Bison salts were milder than their originals!

Thanks for the scans and love your nails I think short little ones are cute too!

p.s good idea taking perfume samples to work

Hahaha - craazzzyyy blogging - much! It’s a-okay with me - I get bored so often!

Great Popsister scans - the style is just so adorable - sad that I can’t really wear styles like that in Australia - although I do swing a bit more to the geek-mod look and lots of grey/black, so I can’t really comment!

We also have water restrictions here - so fail on the lovely bath goods - I really wanted to order some from SaSa - but had to stop myself wasting money (they were on sale!)

Ooohhh, I spy some HbG brand!! ^-^ I’ve been trying to get my hands on a tee or SOMETHING from there, but the fashionwalker shop is always basically sold out!! :(
Your nails & work outfits are really so cute! I like that style with the cropped pants + ankle strap shoes, it’s very casual but still work-appropriate! ^-~y
Your heart-spotted rubber duckie is adorable too, haha ^-^ & that black sweat bath looks interesting!

Tsubasa always lighten up my day…. There’s pre-launch selling Tsubasa’s DollyWink range product at Singapore this week, I guess not so far from importing them to Malaysia??? Can’t wait!!!

I guess you’re the one that lighten up the office. If I’m working, I hope I can have cute colleagues like you.

Yay I love Popteen. If I have one regret about Japan, it’s not picking up some Dolly Wink lashes. They were just more expensive than the conventional dollar store ones so I didn’t bother looking at them haha. I got loads of those though. Your work looks are cute! =)

Thank you for the Pop Sister scans

Do the sweat baths clear up your skin? The salts look really relaxing to sit in :3 I wish they sold some in Hawaii but i have yet to find any~

jenny said
January 24, 2010 @ 12:15 am

No, I wouldn’t say they’re good for clearing skin, only causing sweat and loss of water weight.

love the collective randomness of this post!

That is a great idea for the perfume samples! I keep a bottle of ‘l’occitane fragrant touch’ for fragrance touch ups at work but the sample idea is great for more variety! I usually just use whatever samples I like until they’re empty or let the ones I don’t like collect dust in this container on my vanity.
