Retail Therapy

Wednesday, April 21st, 2010 | 30 Comments

Hola~~ I’ve been offline for a bit lately. Work’s really busy right now so when I get home at the end of the day I just want to eat, bathe, and sleep. Though that’s not all true. One night I did “work out” sorta and then last night I went to the mall and did a little retail therapy. I picked up 2 belts and a dress. Which isn’t that bad considering how much I tried on and how much I WANTED everything in the stores!

This belt sorta reminded me of the large W♥C version

I liked how this dress looked with the new belt! I actually tried it on in the store (H&M) with my belt I had just bought at Forever 21

Nothing special here, just navy blue~ but cheap!

Retail therapy~ feels so good in the moment, feels so guilty in the aftermath~ LOL

Some people asked about how I plan to grow my bangs out. I’ve got a lot of time to think about that since my bangs are still really short. So first step is to just GROW THEM. I have been thinking, of course, about the long term. But for now I’m just shooting for something like the girl’s on the left.

OR!
Maybe I’ll go old school Ageha style…

haahhaaahhaaa!
I’m being completely serious though…

Will have to start doing this soon though~~ as they continue to grow. That awkward stage between being the perfect length of short or long!

OK, full disclosure!
I was going through I think Nuts & Egg Beauty and picked out some possible choices~ though it’s just a random mix of styles~
I need to really sit down and find something I like eventually!

la la laaaaaaaaaa! *skips away

Oh yea and I’m a bit bummed Jun Komori is graduating Popteen. Looked like she mentioned staying in PopSister though! Hum~~ this just makes me think of switching my Popteen subscription to Ranzuki (maaaaaaybe) since I’ll have my PopSister subscription. We’ll see~ Though I’m not surprised she’s leaving Popteen because she’s barely been in any of the recent issues *cries*

Ok now I’m actually leaving this time to go enjoy at least a 40 minute hot bath! YEAH!

You’re considering a lot of diferent styles of bangs, wow O: I can’t imagine my face without bangs anymore D: But I think that the first pic (that girl in the left) would look nice, it’s not too long or too short (:

You know, I’ve been thinking of side swept bangs. But when I get to the point they are a hassle, I end up just cutting them back to the bangs I’ve always had. Lol. I think the second picture would be much cuter for you, because of how you always style your hair. =] I like the right 2nd row in the group of pics you posted. Go for it! hwaiting!

loooooove the new layout! so fresh!~
I like the no-bangs look, simply because I adore the look when there is no part, just hair carelessly tossed one way or another

Oh I love the blue layout^^

Yeah, that belt totally reminds me of the WC belt, its super cute with that dress. Like super cute!

I only look good with bangs, so I’m glad I don’t have to go through the decision making process like you do . I think all the styles you posted are very nice, so I guess time will tell which ends up being the winner

Haahaa I appreciate the sympathy! So true too, only time will tell. I might give up a few weeks in & get them reshaped at my hairdressers back into bangs or something who knows~~~~~~~~~

Nice layout!

I am with you on the awkward length, right now Im getting poked in the eyes by strands - eek

The belt is a real double take! But if you are against retail therapy I shouldn’t enable you with my positive reinforcement haaaahaha

You could do all those looks at different stages of your bangs growth!

That’s a good point I probably could do them all at some time! I know, mine are reaching that annoying length rapidly! BOBBY PINS TO THE RESCUE!

I am contemplating whether to grow my bangs out as well. I used to not have bangs, so I definitely know that “awkward” stage you’re talking about. It’s the one thing that’s keeping me from growing it out again…But yes, bangs are such a hassle to take care of. My hair grows fairly fast, so I have to get it cut often =/

Yea, I trim mine at home and I know I messed them up a bit last time so I’m ready for a “break.” Maybe I’ll grow them out a few inches then have them recut in the end?

Hola~

Growing out bangs is such a dilemma x(
And yes the stage where they’re not short nor long is hateeee x(

Still I love having bangs and then growing them out xP Don’t know why really…

From my POV, the first style you showed looks the best, natural & cute but yet feminine. I guess it would fit you sooo well & it’s not that hard to style each morning x'’D

Yea, that’s what I had in mind too when I first thought of growing them!

Wow, that belt really does look like the w♥c one! & I love the colours in that dress you picked… Together they look really cute
I think the first style of grown-out bangs would look awesome on you. I think you could get away with no bangs at all, but I still like the suggestion of a fringe~ much easier if you want to just get bangs again too, haha!
& not to be totally biased or anything, but I think you should change your Popteen subscription to JELLY! ♥ yy lol

Isn’t the pattern great?! They had a tan polka dot and black polka dot version too but I just like how the belt went with this one!

First off, I envy your bathtub! My grandma replaced it with a shower about 3 years ago *sad*

You shouldn’t feel TOO bad about your retail therapy! You got 3 small but adorable items!

I’ve been growing my bangs out since I got them cut on Christmas Eve. I forgot I look TERRIBLE with them despite my rather large forehead and oval-ish face. Also, my skin hates them :(
Mine are def in that “awkward stage” so I end up pinning them back more often than not -_-

lovin the blue and white polka dots!
yeah… bangs are quite irritating sometimes. When I kept it long, it look so flat. Now that I keep it short, it is always at that uncomfortable length between my eyebrows and my eyes.

But I think bangs are still easier to keep compare to growing out a short hairstyle.

I agree with Veronica! You could do all those bang variations once you grow them out C:

Personally, I prefer the side bangs but the middle part is also really nice if you’ve styled your hair~

NICE LAYOUT, it reminds me of summer~

Ooh and I love the stuff you bought .. even if they make you feel guilty hahaha at least it was pretty much an outfit!

as for the awkward fringe i converted mine to a semi side sweeping one
i love the dress btw~
