Going to the beach!

Friday, July 30th, 2010 | 42 Comments

Sorry if this entry sounds crazy. I typed most of it up last night but needed to pack so I didn’t have time to “post” it.

I realized this week that this was the same time I went to the beach last year

Finally completed my Information Technology Infrastructure Library certification course and took the exam! Just waiting for the results now. I don’t really know if I passed or not. Here’s hoping~~

Now I’m preparing for the beach vacation! I’m sorta sad it’s gonna be in the 70’s & 80’s instead of 90’s. I dunno. It’ll still be warm enough & all. I’m just so used to 90 degrees now thanks to that insane heat wave! Hah!

Packed goods!

I’m taking this dress to wear on the boardwalk. It’s from Yesstyle, I just haven’t had an opportunity to wear it much. Same with my coverup dress from H&M and F21 hat!

Bringing this coconut scented body splash with me! I love summer scents at summer time~

It’s sorta bittersweet being at the beach house this weekend. I really need to unwind. But I hate there’s no internet. I really need to get on top of having a semi-schedule for Tokyo (it’s in a month, gah!) Basically just something to share with my friend so she can plan her work schedule because we wanna hang out as much as possible! I miss her so much. The thought occurred to me “what if, for whatever reason, this is the last time I’ll see her?!” IMPOSSIBLE!! I think we’re tied by the red string of fate. I couldn’t imagine my life, even daily life without her there, supporting me through emails, letters, and calls.

Wow I got off track, lol! And mushy . Sorry about that. My best friend lives across an ocean. It gets hard sometimes =y. When we hang out it feels like it’s something we do routinely. It’s strange but lovely.

OK, switching to a new tangent~~~~

I picked up this lilac purple polish last week~
Sally Hansen Insta-Dri in LIVELY LILAC
I already have this brand & type in another color (Whirlwind White.) It’s extremely quick drying. (my favorite type, lol) and works well as a base to go under other colors. I say under because without a top coat it does tend to chip quickly. But with a good top coat polish on top it lasts longer. This polish is pretty great for speed and application! I only put on 1 coat in the picture below! Then I topped it with a glitter top coat polish from Anna Sui….

OK that’s it, I’m off to smell like suntan oil & wear my bikini for 12 hours a day

I have never been to the beach. This year was the first year I went swimming in a lake. lol.

I love the dress you got from Yesstyle, I’ve been checking things out on there for a couple days. I think it’s time for some new clothes.

I hope you enjoy your beach trip!

taaaaaaake meeeee with you (to the beach)!!
lol i’ll be in tokyo next month as well~ i’m SO excited!!

its odd; i’m in china right now, and everywhere i go, i always see a LOT of girls in clothing that can be found on yesstyle. I know its china, so they probably didn’t get it from yesstyle (Actually i don’t think we can get to yesstyle from here..damn you Great Firewall of China!!) Its just weird to get used to cos if i were at home and i saw someone wearing a yesstyle item, i would totally call them out on it LOL~

sorry for writing an essay in your comments!!

Ooohh your nails remind me of Tsubasa’s nail polishes! *A*

That polka-dot dress is too cute! I’m pretty jeliz that you’re at the beach!

I know what you mean about a bff being far away. My bff doesn’t live across an ocean but down in FL. i only get to see her for about a week every other year or so. though i haven’t seen her since 07 :(

I have to say I love the spotty dress! Spots are such an obsession of mine at the moment

The beach sounds lovely right now, but I know what you mean by cold beaches. (The beach in San Francisco was about 65F and insanely windy. However, it’ll give you an instant California beach hair look, with some sand as an extra bonus.) Nevertheless, have fun!!

Oh cute dress! Love the color and pattern~
My bikini is also polka-dots~~

And what a coincidence! Recently I’ve been really into the “glittery” nail-look!! Anna Sui’s glitter nail polish is my fav, though you can get the same kind of look by layering pink glitter nail-polish as a base, and then “multi-glitter”/silvery-white glitter on top~! ^^b

OOoooo I wish I could go to the beach, my life right now is just work work work . I love that dress, totally wearable in this weather. I’m just sick of mosquitoes here in Canada, so many of them D.

Waa - going on holidays soon! Yesss! I hope you have loads of fun!

The beach lifestyle is big here in Queensland - and flip flops are common place!
Even in the midst of winter (when we all aren’t wearing UGG boots like looney homebodies!)

I hope you have stacks of fun!

Yea I miss living on the coast & wearing flip flops year round. There’s NO beachy mentality here since “the beach” is hours & hours away.

Sounds wonderful! Did you go to a local beach? ^^

jenny said
August 2, 2010 @ 11:56 am

Local? Yes & no. Yes because it’s the closest nearby BEACH and no because it’s over a 3 hour drive away

GOOD LUCK on the exam results! I’m sure you did great though & at least it’s over, no? ♥
Awe, I know exactly what you mean about having a long-distance best friend… Mine is 9 hrs away from me & it’s dreadful, I can’t imagine being an ocean apart! ;o; But at least you are able to make pretty regular trips over there to spend time~ I hope you guys will have lots & lots of time together ♥
Anyway, I hope your beach trip was fabulous & that you took lots of snaps of yourself in all those adorable items! ♥ Loving that nail polish colour too~

YUMMY~ Coconut scented!

I love anything coconut scented, especially in Winter to keep my spirits perked up! Unfortunately it’s not an overly popular scent around here, so finding nice products with a genuine coconutty fragrance can be a bit of a chore.
