New Rain Boots & Sushi

Well I feel dead. 
Over 3 hours spent at an Outlet Mall in 90F weather. I’m even a tiny bit red on my shoulders. 
I didn’t really find anything though. Everything was kinda boring clothing-wise. 
I think I’ve officially gotten over my “BUY IT, IT’S CLEARANCE” habit where I would buy stuff I only sort of liked just because it was super marked down. 
I went shopping yesterday too. Tried some things on at Zara but, per usual, didn’t love anything enough to buy. 
Most of the stuff fits a bit strange on me. Mostly because of my lack of height. 
This was yesterday’s outfit, it was pretty hot out then too…

In the green bag are some new rain boots! 
I’ve been wanting shorter boots. Since I take the train I need them on rainy days. But a lot of times it’s raining in the morning but not the afternoon but then I’m still stuck wearing these HUGE loud rain boots. And people comment on them nonstop. It’s nice, I do appreciate that they like them and everything… but… I really don’t like my old ones anymore. They’re too cutesy-pootsey for me. So when people point, giggle, and comment I just sort of hate being bothered by it. 
I’m on the traaaaain. I’m just trying to get to work/home I don’t want to talk. I sound like a dick, it’s hard to explain. It was just something I wanted to change. After a while it just felt a little like I’m some living doll on display that people talked to as if I’m a child.
Just saying… 
So these new ones are shorter, have a nice point toe… oh yeah there’s a bow! HAHAHAHAA! Well they did have all black mid-calf round-toe ones without the bow. But I liked this shape better and height. I can wear them under my pant legs if it’s no longer raining. I sorta like the bow too, hahahaa! They had the same pair only peach boots with black bows that were SO CUTE too! These new ones come to my ankles while my old boots were knee-length. BIG difference. 
I think I had my old rain boots for over 3 years.
After shopping we stopped and got a late lunch. I got “Passion Maki.” And have I mentioned the storms disappeared and it’s crazy sunny ALL WEEKEND!

Yeah I haven’t had time to blog about my Rinka shirt coming in :( so busy, so busy =_=;;
zara tend to have that affect on everyone. i think they just have good displays and marketing, once you put it on youre like “meh” even old stuff i “had to have” i already sold or gave-away. Plus i get annoyed that i might see something an dnext week its gone or put in “storage” give me a chance to want it zara jeez!

Zara is so love/hate for me! Sometimes I LOVE their items but HATE THE QUALITY. Lately I’m really liking their clean lines & bold colors but that’s gonna be a fleeting look for them it seems. Most stuff coming in now is like country girly idek.

Rain boots used to be IMPOSSIBLE to find (even when I bought my old pair.) And no one else ever wore them either. But now they’re pretty common on the train (thank god LOL)

Well Yesstyle is just like a proxy service for a bunch of different shops so it depends on the “shop” you’re buying from. Usually you get what you pay for. If it’s incredibly cheap the quality might be too (though not always,) but if it’s on paar with store prices then usually the quality is better as well. Let me know if you have any specific “shop” quality questions, I might be able to answer that better if I have something from the same shop!

They really are more “mature” aren’t they!? And that’s what I was seriously craving. Time to cut the cute strings a bit, I’m just not feeling “myself” in the old ones anymore.

I definitely think there’s a time & place in life where buying smtg because it’s clearance & “making it work” is necessary. It used to be my only option to be honest. But now that it doesn’t HAVE to be my only option it was definitely a hard habit to break. For me it ended up with way too much clothing that I only sorta liked. These days I want less clothing to pillage through and LOVE everything I own.

I have a pair of tall ones with a loud floral pattern that are so comfy, but it’s be so nice to have cute little rainshoes. 
Usually it’s no where NEAR this hot in May. We’re having August weather SUPER EARLY for some reason. Please take some of the heat, I beg you xDDD! I didn’t get “spring” this year xD

Yeah, spending with more “thought.” Same here. I dunno if it means “older” as much as it does wiser?! Haahaa, not to say buying cheaply is bad, of course, if that makes someone happy. But I definitely wasn’t HAPPY shopping like that anymore. I wasn’t happy with piles of clothes that wore out quickly or I didn’t LOVE 100%. It feels good to spend the same amount but love the items a hundred times more right!?

It’s the height!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! There’s NO DENYING THAT. I’m short too. 5′1″. No matter HOW I’m dressed I’m often talked to like I’m much younger than my years. Usually I’m dressed boringly. Blazer, button up blouse, khaki slacks, black pumps. But I’m still often talked to very sweetly and flippantly even dressed like that.

Ah! OK, so my hair is mostly 1 length (2 layers slightly shorter than the other.)
First I clip the top half of my hair up. I then section my hair into 4 segments. I just take a 1″ curling iron to each section at a time. The first section, nearest my face I curl towards my face (inward.) The next section I curl outward (away from my face) then the rest I curl inward. Repeat on the other side of your head. Then for the half you pinned up repeat as well. I fluff it & hairspray it

I finally broke down the second rainy season here in DC. Before then I lived in MS where it rained often but it was also always warm so you could just wear flip flops in the rain. But TOO COLD HERE. Rain boots are becoming really popular here now. I see them all over now where a few years ago hardly anyone wore them.
Those are some cute rain boots! I like the bow too. I’ve been thinking about getting a pair of rain boots because it has been raining for OVER A MONTH here non-stop. It is sad to be sunny all week this week so we’ll see how it goes.

I can really relate to your rain-boot-problem. Mine are white with black dots and red borders. I really like them and I get a lot of comments when I wear them (all nice) but I can see how some people look at me, ha ha. I always think that people should understand that you wearing rain-boots in the afternoon/evening because it DID rain in the morning. You new ones looks great!
Yeah when I used to LOVE my old pair I didn’t mind the compliments but now I hate them so every time someone compliments them it reminds me of how much I now dislike the design LOL. Now if I get the same amount of comments on my new ones I won’t care anymore because I love them
