An Autumn Wishlist
Monday July 09, 2012

A wishlist.
- Madewell printed loafer, sheep sweater, tassel low wedge sandals
- Shu Uemura “Chocolat Donna” mint & vanilla eyeshadow palette
- American Apparel Bull Denim Woven Cotton Cities Bag with Strap
Some of these things haven’t been released yet, which makes saving money a bit easier. I’ve been in a money-hoarding state of mind recently. Mostly stemmed from not wanting more stuff. I just know I have so much stuff for which I should already be grateful. Especially clothes and makeup.
Not that it makes saving easy. I have bad days where I just want to go BUY something at Madewell. Anything! :deco13: Because “I had a shit day & deserve this.” So instead I’ve been avoiding it until the fall releases I want come out. It also prevents me from buying items I don’t 100% love. win-win
I went through my closet and looked over my fall/winter items from last year and I’m just so eager to wear them again.
I’ve been finishing up products left and right too. Shower gels, mascara, my Paul & Joe kitten compact is now 45% pan. Bittersweet but gratifying because I used it to its full potential. I have such a natural need to “hoard & save” things for “only special days” so I force myself to crack seals and use items on any day. And I find more times than not it helps make an ordinary day feel special rather than making a special day feel … I guess, appropriate? See, there’s less of a benefit (for me personally) to save things for only special occasions because I can’t even describe what purpose it serves. :)

I like the loftier. I’m waiting for a right time too. Same goes to me for the “Special day”. It makes me feel so happy but sometimes it might end up will regrets. lol.

EEEEEEEEEEE! That shadow palette is divine!
I started to only buy new make up and skincare when I need it. I had too much that I never got to, or never really used. So now I’m down to only three eyeshadow quads. And when I run out of one, I’ll buy a new one maybe in a different color scheme. I have felt more hygienic about it too, I don’t have opened palettes of blushes or eyeshadows sitting and slowly decomposing. I read that you should really change make-up products every two years because of bacteria build up. -
Loafers are too nice right, for some reason, here we call them slippers…! I’m like that too. Right now i will only pick stuff that i really really want! I lost the opportunity to buy a travel bag… But i might get a better one in the future.
About using things. I have this feeling with perfumes! I don’t know why, but i really feel bad if i use them randomly. As for makeup, i have few products, but for some reason, i have too many body lotions and creams, so i need to finish them before buying more. -
Ha ha, I get that a lot. When you have a crappy day and you just have this strong urge to lift your spirits by obtaining something nice for yourself. Shopping is medicinal, ha ha! :3

I’ve been meaning to ask you how you keep everything you buy XD I’m in a small studio apartment now and I need to try so hard to stop myself from buying anything in case if I end up with too much crap in my apartment ; _ ; Do you throw out anything? How do stop from hoarding!!

Good for you using up products and making an attempt to utilize what you have!! I feel like there is nothing more satisfying than knowing you used your ’stuff’ to its full potential!! I also sympathize with the need for buying something….ANYTHING for instant gratification. it sucks though because my closet is bursting with just STUFF. I dont have the space for things I only kind of like. I need to strive to be pickier!

I also save things for “special days”! I don’t even know why I do it, I just find some things to be so precious to waste. Which is weird because now that you’ve said it and I start to think about it, those things we save up can glam up an ordinary day :)
