Yes, it’s a college rant.

I hate my summer courses. I hate programming. I’m about to graduate with a Software Engineering degree and I hate programming. Well, at least the programming WE do. Only a handful of my courses have been helpful to me as a Web Developer. I know I probably should have majored in Graphic Design & a minor in Software. Sadly, you can’t do it the other way around either. I didn’t know the only Web Dev. Professor was going to leave my sophmore year. Maybe I should have majored in Foreign Languages like I had originally planned. I don’t know. I still love creating web pages and foreign languages are just more of a hobby. Too bad I can’t afford to stay in college =T (a different college of course too.)
I got a 70 on my Java mid-term exam. I was ecstatic!! Then the professor showed all the grades. I had made the lowest and not by a few points but an entire letter grade lower. The next lowest score was an 80. Sigh, there are many reasons for this. Unlike the other kids (many who have had Java before) I don’t have much free time to go home & re-teach myself Java. The professor is nice, but he sucks. His teaching style is the worst for me. He just reads off 30 slides each class then assigns programs due. He doesn’t even say which examples in the book can help with the assignment, wait, he doesn’t even USE the book for that matter!! A wasted 90$ So here we are in chapter 10 and I’m pretty behind. I just want a D. I don’t care if I get all D’s this semester, I just WANT the credit so I can GRADUATE AND LEAVE!!!! My GPA can handle triple D’s thankfully so bring em on!.
I’m trying to cram for a quiz I have today in Java while here at work. Work has gotten too hectic and I can’t really study here anymore.
