Metro DC

In a month I’ll be moving to the Washington DC Metro area. We already have an apartment. Here is the floor plan our place. It’s 1,000 sq ft. The building is brand new and in a wonderful area. The area is also where I had stayed one summer so I am somewhat familiar with it. It’s also super close to the metro which is great.

I’m SO ready to move and very excited about this place. Mike’s brother checked it out for us and said it was awesome. However, it’s going to cost us $1,000 just to move our stuff up there =_=. People keep suggesting we just leave everything and buy new stuff when we get up there. Oh well, moving is expensive. I’ve been putting in more resumes. I think because I live out of state no one wants to even LOOK at my application. I hope moving there will help me get a job easier. There’s more than enough opportunity which is nice.

I had dinner with my family last night. It was okay. There seemed to be mixed reviews about my moving to DC. My grandparents seem happy, my Dad seems completely indifferently pissed, my Mom is just sad because she knew I’d move far away some day. My little sister is super excited because I said she can stay next summer ^^!

I’ve been doing some knitting, Kim would be proud!

Since school has ended I’ve been passive about everything. Mike hates it because he doesn’t believe me anymore when I say what I feel. I don’t know. I don’t think it’s a bad thing. I’m not scared about moving. I think he wants it to “hit me.” But it’s just not. Sure, going up there with no job and just my savings is scary, but my stomach isn’t in knots over it. I don’t know. I’d rather be up there with no money than here with plenty and miserable. I’m happy. When I think about it I feel happy inside. I haven’t felt happy like that in a long time.

It’s been raining daily, but not long enough
