Weekend Christmas Shopping

Hello again~ :)
I finally did something this weekend, :good: brought the camera, here we go! :star: It wasn’t anything spectacular though. :;_;: Please don’t get your hopes up, haha! Mostly shopping. :blushingcute:
First it was off to Ikea. :excitedyo:
Mike needed some more bookcases in the den (game room basically) for his game cases & books (durr.) Actually found some! :sparkleup: Plus got more magazine files for the office (Jenny magazine/computer room basically!) :facepalmcry: Went early to avoid the mobs.
It was really cold Saturday so I wore this along with my coat~

Off to the mall! Christmas shopping! Also a little Forever 21 shopping since finally I found the Minnie Muse mini dress! It’s all sequins but quite comfortable. It’s a little shapeless even for a tank dress but the sequins, color and mouse silhouette makeup for that. :okicon: It was only $30 and just seemed like a great little winter dress because I liked how it looked paired with a turtleneck and tall boots! :happylove: Also grabbed a 10$ fur collar :iiface:. Since now my necks always freezing! This blocks the wind better than a scarf :) :ureshii:
Went from Bethesda Mall to Chevy Chase for shopping. Really Sephora hoping too because I got some rude bitch at the Bethesda Mall as a cashier. I feel this happens a lot there? :crap: I waited in the long holiday shopping checkout line for 15 minutes if not longer. Finally the cashier motioned me over because I was next. :) Got up there & this old woman approaches her out of nowhere wanting to buy gift cards. So the cashier just started checking her out instead while I’m standing at the counter with all my items! >O >O >O >O Didn’t say a word! This woman didn’t even wait in line! :girlrage: She knew what she was doing & the Sephora cashier was too pussy to tell her she’d have to wait so I said “whatever fuck this” and walked out as the cashier whimpered a desperate “UM, Oh! UM!” You fail! :?:
Ended up later that day at the nicer & waaay less crowded Chevy Chase Sephora where the cashier was super nice & friendly. :biglove:I might not go back to the Bethesda one anymore. Fuck em lol. Though it’s funny in the end I still bought from Sephora *fail reasoning.* :facepalmcry:
Oh, and I got the new Urban Decay “All Nighter” makeup setting spray and Benefit’s High beam. I’ll write more about those later~ Let’s change subjects before I re-rage~~~

Anthropolgie’s store displays are always so pretty! :star: Right now it’s a bunch of cuckoo clocks! :haha: There’s also a giant tree at the Santa Land in Chevy Chase! I don’t remembering seeing it before! Maybe I never ended up here, exactly, at Christmas. This areas nice for Christmas shopping. Since it’s mostly high-end stores and outside rather than a mall setting it’s less crowded with bitchy shoppers.
Yes! That’s the Victoria’s Secret Black Friday bag I was whining about wanting at Thanksgiving on twitter!!!!!
Mike surprised me with it on Friday night! He got it free when ordering other Christmas gifts for me and was going to wait until Christmas but said he couldn’t wait any longer, haahaa! :skipping: Because I was using my Sephora Black Friday tote all week and going on & on about how much I love it because it’s basically a shopping bag. The VS bag is huge! It has the infamous pink & red stripes as the inner lining too! It’s really bright too, haahaa~ Good for Christmas shopping though. I kept putting all my purchases in it.
Mmm Starbucks! LOL
Ended the day with dinner at a Japanese restaurant. They serve sukiyaki here. Though it’s delicious it’s not a “make it yourself” place. I prefer the local place that let’s you do that but they were closed. Though this still tasted delicious~~
So on Sunday I wore the new Minnie dress with double layered tights :smallcry: to keep the cold out! Wore this cute pair of plush heart earrings too I got at SBY. They’re made to look like conversation heart candies~ Haven’t had a chance to wear them yet! Actually forgot I even had them til a few weeks ago when I re-found them in a bag!

The fur wrap has magnetic closures so it just snaps closed easily!
Ack, I had more to talk about but it’s nearly midnight! OK, I’ll talk about the stuff I got at Sephora, some new Victoria’s Secret gets (thanks to those gift cards!) :twinkle: and my hair. Yes, my hair I should probably say something about it~~ People at work are still asking me about it, haahaa~ I really didn’t think it would be that drastic but I guess it is. :snot:

Sadly it’s the closest full Sephora near my house but I have 3 others I can get to~~

Hahaha Christmas shopping is epic… it’s Summer down here and we have the added bonus of hot sweaty public transport, and EVERYONE being at the mall for the air conditioning! EPIC!

you look so cute *o* and ugh i hate rude cashiers as well. the sephora here is pretty good though; i checked their outlet closing times the other day and it stated that they closed at 11 so i headed down at 10.15 but they were closed; so i called them and they were like, oh yeah. we changed our hours recently so they’re not reflected on the website yet but i’ll get the manager who’s closing up inside to open the doors for you. and i managed to get my stuff in the end. xD
That’s super amazing!! Yeah, the other Sephora I went to afterwards has always been good, they’re just an extra 10 minutes away though. Once they let us open a gift set to pull out the coupon to use right away when really it’s supposed to be a separate transaction blah blah, they’re great! So it’s always a bummer when you go to a Sephora with not so good service :(
Im guessing u like wc lol! i love the mickey ears i’ve just ordered some of those from etsy and finally they have the minnie range at forever 21 uk :) the uk is so behind sometimes :/ we’ve both cut our hair at the same time lol we seem to do a few things at the same time :)

Cute dress! I got the top with a similar Minnie Mouse motif design. I’m not too fond of the fabric though. I accidentally got some water on it and it ended up becoming a water stain :(
I love fur collars! You’re right they are so much warmer than scarves with their teensy holes here and there. I’m hunting for a fur scarf right now. I swear when you look for it, you can never find it :P
The VS tote is so sparkly (* A *) I did get the VS 2010 fashion show tank with my last purchase. It’s kinda cute to wear with it’s sparkly letters XD

Hey that was the trick with the fur collar!! I wasn’t looking for it! I was looking for the dress for the, hum, 6th time!! and then saw this 1 single lonely collar misplaced in the shoe section!!! I had thought early in passing “Gee, I’d like to find a fur collar *sigh* BUT I know if I had gone in there LOOKING for one I would have never found it. MURPHY’S LAW!
Oh I had that tank coupon too!! But didn’t use it ;_; I kinda liked the simple design with big text, it’s nifty on those tanks.
I love IKEA :D! & I all of your outfits, especially the first one where you buttoned the cardigan differently. I feel that certain Sephoras ARE really bad in customer service too. Especially the one at Tyson’s. I HATE GOING THERE cause they’re sooo snobby. (The one at Fair Oaks Mall is MUCH friendlier). When I work in retail, I have NO problem directing someone to the end of the line (in a bitchy attitude) cause that’s rude. Too bad your cashier was too pansy :T Next time you should go crazy bitchy on her and make her go to the end too. I’m sure everyone else in line would agree with you too :X

Thanks! Ahhhh Tyson’s Corner Sephoraaaaaaaaaaaaa! I don’t particularly care for it myself. It’s always slammed and the they never know what they have or what stuff is! I once asked where I could find a clear top coat nail polish and she had NO idea what a top coat was then told me they didn’t have any! A few minutes later I found it myself. =_=;;
I don’t know the fair oaks one, but I do like the Chevy Chase & Georgetown Sephoras a lot :)
And seriously, I worked in retail a long time ago and I would totally call people out on cutsies! NO CUTSIES!!! Yeah, I was so mad at the cashier I didn’t even think of going off on the customer =_=;;
Oh and the earrings are really light plush! So they’re not very heavy at all, especially compared to my metal chandelier earrings.

Awe yeah. The first time I went short I was scaaaared! I slowly cut more & more off and ended up even getting the pixie cut all through college. It’s funny, I started dating Mike when I had short hair so he never liked it much when I grew it out. Long hair is nice too though, you can do so much more with it!

Yeah, I have NO plans to go to that particular Sephora any time soon. As I was typing this up I remembered this isn’t the first time they’ve been not-so-good at customer service there & I have other options. There’s also a Sephora JCP like 3 minutes from my house so screw it hahahahaaa!
Per your comment about an employee being rude & making you not want to shop there: I hardly ever shop at Fair Oaks Mall even though it’s like 10 minutes from my house because the people who work at the stores there (ESPECIALLY Sephora!) are jerks. I’ll travel farther to go to Tysons because the people there are always so nice and helpful! It really does make a difference when the employees aren’t assholes! ;)

I’ve heard that about the UK stores. I always feel the US stores lag but who knows. Lately their baby is Tokyo. SO many of the collection are designed for the Tokyo store it’s hilarious.

Yup it’s all sequin! It’s not overly shiny which is nice you know? It’s not too gaudy that way. The rest of the collection ranges from “really cute” like the cardigans, to really obnoxious like the sweatpants with Japanese written all over it. But that’s just my opinion. Basically they’ve got something for EVERY style in it from a chic dolman sleeved top to a sporty red raglan sleeved baseball tee.
Those earring are so cute, and will def be perfect for valentines day! You look so cute (as always) and THATS A BLACK HELLO KITTY (wait no…its ginger bread…^^;;) I almost bought a similar top from free people but decided against, it did remind me of you and I wanted to get it but I decided to save my moneys cuz FP aint cheeps….
I also was just at anthro and they took my money…argh…its so cute vintagey and i love it.
SO we all know, UO, FP and Anthro, own me…all made by the same guy who basically made 3 stores that fit my 3 personalities…:D
