Bob Hair and Pink Moccasins

Okay I’m gonna ramble about my hair here first~
I’ve been planning to cut it into a long bob for a few months now. I don’t know. When I thought about Christmas and the New Year I just had this image in my head of me in a bob! :P I get these weird ideas then just go gun-ho obsessed with em XD. As if they’re “my destiny” **_*sparkle sparkle:twinklepink:* haha! Really decided to do it after loving this W♥C staffer’s bob so much! But my real hair muse is Yukako! (among my muse for other things, mentioned her earlier when talking about Used Mix magazine.)
So I went through Rasysa and found the haircut below. Only I asked for longer more oval bangs instead of what was pictured. :skipping: I sorta styled it like this on Saturday just not as fluffy. ;)
Bright window in my closet sorta blew-out my face color, LOL :gigglewakuface:. My stylist convinced me to get a body perm too *le gasp* My first perm!! :blushingcute: It’s been interesting. :kissyheart: But I can really tell the difference already. My hair really does feel thicker and has more shape & body with much, much less effort. :ohyeslovely:Mine should last bout 3 months. She said my hair is so soft that, though the perm usually lasts 4 months, it’s more likely mine will only last 3. She used a less intense formula too so it’ll be less damaging *I researched it afterwards hahaa~* she said if I liked it we can do it tighter for a stronger shape. We’ll see~~ :upheart:
I’m gonna go get a trim come end of January. Probably get it a bit shorter than this actually :) . But same shape. :updiamond:
I was so tired of my long hair. :crap: When I’d look in the mirror I just wanted it gone! :?: When I first got it cut & saw myself it was like this *a-ha moment* of “THERE I AM! NOW THAT’S ME!” My inner-self wanted short hair again I guess. :P
So there! That’s everything I’ve been thinking about my hair but just didn’t bother saying lately :p.
In other news, I finished my Christmas shopping last night! Now to wait for things to arrive & wrap ‘em. :bow: Got some new wrapping paper this year. Peanuts & owls! Surprise~ surprise right. :rejected:
Also got some holiday earrings! :sqxmastree: They were free with this coupon I had! Yes, I’m coupon queen lately idek! :;_;: They’re really pretty and I’ve worn them to work every day this week :) They catch the light really well but aren’t too heavy so they’re comfortable. And also the pink moccasins! Got them on saaale~ :biglove:
I haven’t really talked about the New Year but I’m planning on a sorta “spending freeze” come January, :crap:so, um, yeah… :;_;: I’ve been buying a bunch of little things lately in anticipation I guess! :facepalmcry: But I’ll go into that whole spiel later (it’s boring anyhow~)
Oh, I received the January issue of Vivi today. I bought it off ebay from this seller. Apparently they’re also owners of FOBavenue.com or something because the magazine had ads and a sticker on it with that url. :dizzy: Anyway, they shipped it in a really thin envelope not meant for heavy magazines and it had fallen out during shipping! :facepalmcry: This is how it arrived:
The magazine itself is bent and scratched and looks a bit beat up now! :ng: It doesn’t look brand new at all. But it has the look of a magazine that has been sitting in a doctor office waiting room! Like it’s been flipped through a million times! I’ll blame that on the shipping snafu and give them the benefit of the doubt that it was shipped in new condition. UGH! :crap: :crap: For $24 this is not what I was expecting. I’m used to magazines shipped properly in thicker card stock envelopes actually meant for media mail. Anyway. I don NOT recommend them for purchasing magazines. Thankfully the market near me seems to be getting in Vivi now so I don’t care. :smallcry: I can get it cheaper at the market so won’t have to resort to ebay when I feel like buying an issue again.
Alright, I’m off to watch TV! Then bed~

I dunno why I didn’t talk about it really? I think because usually I talk about cuts because I’m unsure what I want exactly but this time I knew and I guess I didn’t really care to get any “pre-cut” opinions? I don’t know but that sounds meaner than it’s meant to be ;X hahahaaa!
Actually I didn’t tell anyone offline really either because I mentioned it to Mike’s Mom & grandmother and they were both like “But why you’re hair is so beautiful blah blahhhhhhhhh don’t do it” =_=;;

Both the paper and the moccs are from Target! The moccs are on sale right now :).
We set sorta round about budgets usually. We have a savings account we use just for Christmas. It’s one of those that the bank puts in like a dollar every time you have a transaction. So we don’t touch it for a year and we just pull our Christmas money out of that. Usually we try and do even budgets on one another but this year I hardly wanted anything so I’m spending a bit of the budget meant for me on him instead :P
And no, it’s a digital fireplace that’s a heater with fake burning embers and flames XD

What does a body perm do exactly?

Just that, it gives your hair body! That’s it! You can straighten it, curl it, do whatever to it, it just adds volume like a really really good voluminizing product would! My hair is flat as a board without product. Now I don’t need product, it gets body just air drying :)

I’m kind of on the fence right now. My last hair cut I cut it like Lena’s current style so my ends ended up being completely even with no layers at all. I just don’t really know what kind of style I want yet XD I might just end up getting a trim so that my bangs don’t look so horrible like what they are right now :P

Haahaa! Well here’s hoping! Yeah all summer my other hair cuts and choices just felt “meh, whatever” and I didn’t care when people said my hair looked good because it just didn’t feel right “for some reason” :P

Ahhh!! it sucks the magazine came damaged! :F I had a situation like this too, once, from some ebay seller! Now I only buy magazines through friends or shopping service from Japan and always ask them to order from japanese amazon – their shipping is perfect and then my friend or ss just reuse the sturdy cardboard box.

Yeah, I’ve purchased from other ebay sellers and was VERY happy! But none of them had Vivi so I went with this new one. FAIL DECISION.

Haahaa thank you! I’m kinda surprise at how many ways there are to style this length actually too!! I did bottom small curlers the other day for work & it looked cuuute but so different from a sleek style. I haven’t had this actual style before, only this length with a ton of layers so it looked really different and had very little options. OK, I’m rambling!

I’ve only had a regular perm before…
so the perm doesn’t make your hair curly since they don’t roll it…?

Yea body perm is exactly the same actually only the rollers aren’t put in AS tight! There’s a very very very slight curl/inward bend at the end of my hair but if I straighten it it’ll go away easily.
Such a pretty Christmas tree! And so cute and snuggle and warm next to the fire. I wish we had a tree this year but we decided against buying one this time.

I can’t beleive the state your mag turned up in! I’d have complained! I hate bad packaging like that, really pisses me off, cos everyone buys online these days, so really these companies should know what they’re doing.

Hum, I don’t know if I can really identify with being a “short-haired” girl or “long-haired” girl because I like them equally which makes it difficult sometimes! Because I’ll see long locks and go “oooh yes I’ll grow my hair out!” then see super short and go “oh god, yes, I should chop mine off!” But it really just comes down to how I’m feeling at that moment and if I think about it enough I’ll get a certain cut. Whenever I get bored or feel stiffled by my hair style I change it. I think that’s why I’ve had so many styles since high school, I change my hair a lot to get myself out of ruts. I used to dye it a lot in HS & college too but now that I have an office job I don’t really feel crazy colors anymore.
I’m not sure about the moccs actually! I’ve been wearing them with socks and they’re good but haven’t tried just stockings. I wish they were wool-lined, but for $13 I’m not complaining :X, I’ll at least have them for spring XD

I really wanted to cut my hair in bob with wavy perm, but I think my long hair is like a safety blanket…! *facepalm* -o-;; Does the body perm make your hair stay in that puffy shape?? I was considering some kind of perm to give my hair volume too since it’s thin and kind of damaged… T^T;;;
And I’m glad your Christmas tree has something on the top! I always see all these trees without stars or angels, or at least a ribbon, and it just doesn’t seem right. Like it’s not finished or something? haha~
Not puffy shaped, because if I just blow dry it, it’s more of a sleek bob style automatically with full body and not flat. My hair usually blow dried with no products is disgustingly flat! I can’t even describe the horridness! Let’s just say that every day I used to tease the underside of my hair and now I don’t have to :)
