Bath Salt & Face Mask

Happy Easter!!

Mmmm I’m stuffed from a heavy lamb dinner and about to go take a hot soak. So I thought I’d post some quick reviews of a few bath items!

First up is a baking soda bath salt called “毛穴撫子 重曹白肌風呂.” It contains silk, rice bran, and fermented soymilk as main ingredients.

毛穴撫子 重曹白肌風呂.

It’s a deep cleaning salt that’s supposed to peel away your dead skin leaving you feeling refresh and silky. Very fragrant! The scent is only described as “powder” scent [おしろい] but it’s not a typical US “baby powder” scent (which I hate btw.) It’s an amazing wonderful scent!! The water feels soft as if lotion was added. Very moisturizing. Scent disappears quickly though. Color is milky light pink. I really wish I had more than just 1 packet of this, it was fantastic for a moisturizer bath salt! Received a 4.3 on Cosme.net. Looks like imomoko.com is currently selling it if anyone is interested.

Next up is Kracie’s ひきしめ美肌 face mask! A tightening face mask in all black!

Kracie’s ひきしめ美肌 Mask

Its color is from the ingredients of charcoal and other natural minerals supposedly from springs in Okinawa. The scent is all business. It mostly just smells like a moisturizing lotion. You leave it on for about 20 minutes. Has pretty good immediate effects but nothing long term. Since it doesn’t really have an aroma this isn’t for “relaxing” purposes. It’s a serious business face firming mask! Received a rating of 4.4 at cosme.net. Cosmelandusa.com is selling 5 packs.

omg, DO HATE baby powder smell too lol!! I actually hate any smell having to do with babies, which says a lot about my ‘maternal nature,’ haha *fail*
That tightening mask looks awesome though! D: Definitely would give it a try~

I know, I was a bit ‘concerned’ about it given the packaging but turned out all good I thought it would stink or something!

I wish there was a store that I could get these from rather than ordering online. I loved using Asian beauty products; (to me anyways) they tend to work much better than North American ones.

Agreed. I rather buy these in person. I just love browsing & touching stuff before buying it. I usually get super super desperate before buying stuff online.

I live in Okinawa, and I just love that mask. ^u^ It does mean “serious business” haha. I use it especially while I take a hot bath, before going out for the night.

Hope you had a happy Easter!

I have seen the bath salts at the Mitsuwa near our place, so I will definitely have to give these a try. I am always looking for exfoliating type beauty products =)

Happy Easter to you too! Siigh, I want to try taking a nice long bath but I always feel like I’m wasting an extraordinary amount of water because my bath is a shower/bath combo and the tub is a long full length one which takes a disgusting amount of water to even fill up 1/4 of the way =.= Is the charcoal mask actually a sheet mask? I’ve never seen a charcoal sheet mask before! I’ve only ever seen them in squeeze tubes and being either washoff or peel-off masks. For tightening, I’d recommend Lancome’s white clay mask - while it is a bit pricier, it lasts freaking forever It sucks out a bunch of your skin impurities and leaves your face feeling nice and refreshed and firmer

I have about 2-3 of these face mask things but I haven’t used them before! Maybe I’ll try them out now ^o^

Nice!! I would love to get more into the bath salts! I can’t find JP ones near me though and though I like local places they can be actually $$.
