Palty Fruity Rose Solid Fragrance

Sunday, July 10th, 2011 | 55 Comments

I ordered this Palty brand rose-scented solid fragrance from Yesstyle a few weeks ago. It’s called Fruity Rose [フルーティローズ.] It’s labeled as being a “Dolly” type scent. While in Tokyo I purchased their Juicy Fruit [ジューシィ果実] version in a rush to the airport. I needed something to freshen me up on the plane but small liquid fragrances are such a hassle with airport security. I actually really wanted the rose scent at the time but the Lawson I went to was sold out! The only one left was the Juicy Fruit one. They had just been released and were super popular & often sold out. And also the Juicy Fruit version isn’t bad either. It’s very light and airy smelling. Perfect for summer! Yesstyle has it in stock as well as the 2 other original types. However this rose version is currently out of stock.

This rose scent is a bit different from typical rose fragrances. It really does smell fruity and sweet! But also the notes of rose are still there too. They have another new rose-themed scent out now called “Powdery Rose.” I wonder if it smells more strongly of rose??

The official website demonstrates a variety of uses for a solid fragrance.

The fragrances themselves are in a pot that twists off easy (but is also secure in a bag, trust me!) It’s about the size of an oreo cookie. A little bit bigger. And the fragrance is non-sticky and clear so it won’t be rubbing color onto your clothes or leave you with grease patches wherever you apply it. It’s really the best solid fragrance I’ve ever purchased quality & scent-wise. The scent does fade after a few hours if you’re out in the heat. But when I apply it at work I get lovely whiffs of it every so often. It’s neither overpowering nor subtle.

I KNOW! I was like “… genius.” Because it’s a solid, sorta an oil, and it lasts longer than sprays on paper

I’ve only ever had the Marc Jacobs Daisy solid perfume, but this is sooo cute. I must find it and try it. I love carrying these sorts of small things when I’m out just to freshen up a bit.

They’re not too bad. I do hate getting my fingers greasy but this one isn’t like that thankfully! I’ve had past ones that weren’t as pleasant.
